I watched the movie yesterday. This movie like others like it, makes you think. All of the typical negative reviews are standard lame lines of crap. It is a great movie that shows what our future, every near future could very well look like. None of the swaggering arrogant skeptics that do not believe that this could ever happen need to get their head out of their ass & take a look at the long list of horrific events that have already have happened in history. Some of them happened in our time.

Being a huge SCI-FI/Disaster movies fan I had to watch this film and honestly I wasn't that disappointed. The storyline was good and visual effects were great for this kind of films. Come on, it's Made-for-TV film! What did you expect? Day After Tomorrow? Titanic? Avatar? The only one thing I didn't like here was the acting. Ian Somerhalder is one of my favorite actors but he overacted all the time.

Fun fact:

The actual sea level will be lower than now. Why ? Because ice has bigger density than unfrozen water - look up Archimedes principle for expln.. Or just make an experiment at home - fill a cup with ice (arctic), fill it with water (mark the level), cover it (no water escapes simulated enviroment), wait till ice melts and measure the new water level :)

Of course the overall humidity in our enviroment will be bigger -> more rain -> flooding is possible, but more likely INLAND.
