WoW and Runescape want to try and grow up to become LotRO. Lotro is more realistic, better graphics, even better than WoW. It is free moving and soul based RP on the lord of the rings story. Along with the quests you run into arogorn, frodo, many rangers... You play a part in the whole story! (PS ... READ THE BOOKS)
Lotro beats WoW anyday, you just need to get to level 30 and it starts getting super fun, i have a lvl 65 myself and i love playing the instances, so no-one dis Lotro or else!!! lol

When you're an avid WoW player you do nothing but compare EVERY MMO to WoW. You have nothing to say for yourself in regards to any MMO with your OWN words. I've played a small amount of MMO's dating from when Everquest came out to WoW to a lot of free Korean Style MMO's. I enjoyed every game and as much as I played WoW since vanilla it got REALLY boring, I left that game to play Lotro and I loved it. Maybe I just grew up and out of WoW but I just couldn't get back. Still though, For the Horde!
Oh and this chick is cute, but her hair is kinda freaking me out. The scarf too. and the fact that you play WoW Aalot...not so cute. Understandable though. In the words of Duke Nukem - "I'd still hit it."

LotRO used to be VERY fun, but the hole free to play thing ruined it. If you aren't planning on subscribing or buying LOTS of game cards (later to find out that lotro tells you the codes aren't accepted) then I wouldn't recommend this game.

I am a massive LOTR fan. I have read the books several times as well as seen the movies multiple times. The game is actually based off the books, not the movies, and I really like running through the most awesome and detailed fantasy universe ever created. Heck, Tolkien even wrote a book (The Silmirillion) that goes into the beginning of the world in great depth. I have never encountered that in any other book. I really like the game, and the community is very awesome.

wow is alot more visual and appealing like you said but what sold me on this game is the awsome overarcing story and the fact you interact alot with major lore characters, that and i get to play as a hobbit which is just awsome

@punk2816460826 It's easily the most detailed alternate universe any modern author has created and is the basis for the rest of the genre as well as all alternate-universe stories to come after.
If you just get "walking to a volcano" out of all of that, I feel sorry for you.

@punk2816460826 You would have hated the last book, then, considering the war of the ring ends somewhere near halfway of the book and the rest of it is just closure and other events that proceeded it.
Maybe you watched the Director's Cut, the edited-out parts of the films that were meant for fans of the book. It's much longer and I can see how the average YouTube user (You) would lose interest in it after the guts and blood stopped showing.

I quit World Of Warcraft for this, which was a HUGE deal for me. Hopefully this can grow on me and make me loveee it, just as much or more than World Of Warcraft.

LotRO used to be VERY fun, but the hole free to play thing ruined it. If you aren't planning on subscribing or buying LOTS of game cards (later to find out that lotro tells you the codes aren't accepted) then I wouldn't recommend this game.

I am a massive LOTR fan. I have read the books several times as well as seen the movies multiple times. The game is actually based off the books, not the movies, and I really like running through the most awesome and detailed fantasy universe ever created. Heck, Tolkien even wrote a book (The Silmirillion) that goes into the beginning of the world in great depth. I have never encountered that in any other book. I really like the game, and the community is very awesome.

nice clip. have any of you guys checked out the wow cheats pack at warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? its incredible, i recently downloaded it. it's got completely everything in it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches and even the newest arena glitch. i perhaps shouldn't reveal to people about it however at the very least this offers you all a fair opportunity to obtain it before i own all of you

@JBernard79 Well that's what's makes wow so popular. As long as graphics goes, there are hundreds of games that have much much better graphics but gameplay that kills it. For me - Gameplay > Graphics. And it is obviously the same for the majority of mmorpg players. I agree however that there are way to many immature kids and idiotic people that destroys the community in WoW. But a reality check - turn your head left, what do you find? an idiot... Turn your head right, what do you find? an idiot.
