I recently got some "Clear-o-mizers", which are clear E2's. They're awesome! Although, even with the 3.2ohm, I can't really use them at 6v. But, the 2.4ohm ones on my USB eGo 3.7v are fantastic! Way better than LR cartos.
However, you have to be very aware of the wicking effect. And, when you fill them, you MUST make sure to put some drops into the atty to prime the wicking effect. I think you filled it up, but the center of the atty was still dry when you tried it, and it got burnt.
@reallybigname yeah i recently got some of the newest "Fluxomizers" and they are working really great, i have a 3.0 ohm fluxomizer that i have been using at 5v almost non stop.

I dunno Grimm, I think you need to revisit this one man, i have been testing the E2 R4 for the last 2 days, and no matter what i do i cant get this bad taste issue, in fact I have been amazed by them, I am using the 2.8 ohm XL ones but royal smokers all the same. There is a sort of "Oily" taste of the PG but no matter what i can not get a bad taste, and I am using a buzz at everything from 3 volts to 6 volts and nothing even did a dry burn. Yea, those as mentioned are the XL ones. 1.8ml of juice. Those cartos quite honestly SUCK with any bit of VG in the mix. Mostly PG or full PG works best, you want to use half of the ml. 1.8 for XL or.8 for the regular in one side, then the rest in the other side to prevent things from dripping out.
THe main reason that juice probably wasnt feeding is, as you mentioned a PG/VG mix. Try it with some straight PG and you should see a HUGE diffrence!
Great review bro. I've heard mixed reviews about these e2 cartos, mostly bad unfortunately. I was debating about buying a pack but honestly (since you are 1 of the few reviewers I trust) I think I'll stick with the reg. cartos and attys...thanks again and keep on vaping!!!!!

Grimm, a couple of things. First of all throw away those filler things and get a blunt tip for your syringe. Second, I cannot use the E2 without cleaning them first. PIA, I know but they are worth it. Again if your willing to mod them with PTB they rock.
fyi bro u have a e2 XL in your hands, thats a 1.8-2.0ml carto. Unfortunately they do suck out of the box, BUT if you checkout DJbizzums E2 PTB mod you will drop everything you have in your arsenal. It takes me about 2 mins to mod them now and are worth every second of your time. Great vapor production, great flavor and after the initial mod, its extremely hassle free. Imagine taking 2 cartomizers with you, no juice bottle, and just vaping all day? Im a heavy vaper and this has changed everything

Grim, I can't help but hearing you say buttery as you vape that juice. diacetyl comes to mind first and foremost. What are your thoughts/feelings on this subject?

@GrimmGreen You don't like e2 carts? I got some R3's secondhand (after a boil and dry to clean em) after a friend got his R4's and I LOVE them, even secondhand... They're so clean vs. wadding-filled carts.
also it looks like you have the larger cartos, and those hold almost 2ml of juice. It takes a lil bit for the wick to wick...so fill it half full sit it down and wait about 5 min and refil it the rest of the way. It also helps to tap it a lil and turn it upside down for a few seconds so the juice goes up the wick.
Well i was told to clean them before you use it. I did that and its working fine for me, it got rid of the plastic taste and the flavor is good and so is the vapor. Don't have a problem with them now. If you want to clean them try using polident denture cleaner.....put it in for a few hours after its done an off with water. To get the water out of the holes just blow air through with a empty syringe until none comes out and then let dry for 24 hours then refill and vape. This works with attys to
Tried the e2's a few months ago and I got lots of vapor and zero flavor. They're useless. The Joyetech cartos are rad though. Try them if you haven't.

I have been waiting for this review for a while, since they have not worked as well as I thought they would. My biggest problem with them is that they only seem to vape well for a drag, and then you need to wait quite a bit until you take another drag or it is just not there. One thing is to fill one hole half way, and then the other hole with the rest. Plus, when it is new, put a drip on the coil to remove the primer (which you have to keep doing for a while), but I still need to wait.
@yintheatre i was instructed i need to "dry burn" them before use, and fill it with 1.7mls of juice, rather than just the 1ml of juice i used. I'll be revisiting this soon enough

Sup Grimm! Your not alone, I believed the hype and bought two packs of these E2's last week They don't last for a long time (heavy vaper) meaning they get dry after 5 or so hits. Then you go to put more juice in them and they leak. So if it leaks it should have juice, but still burns like its dry. When they do get "juicy". They suck a 3.;7v, compared to LR. Adding who wants to carry around a couple more cartos or a syringe? "I promise officer, thats not heroin."
@DeviantDigi yeah, i'm not having much luck with this E2, i'm not giving up on it because people insist that i can be a good vape, but i already have regualr attys and other 510 cartos that work amazing with no effort.

when you buy a new atomizer from anyone it comes with primer, so you get a bad taste until the primer is gone or you burn it off, treat these e2's the same way, fill them with 1.7 ml and not 1ml, also dry burn them before use.

The XL holds 2ml on the first fill. I'm typing this as I watch so you might reach this conclusion...without the teabag mod-they SUCK. With the teabag mod they partially suck.I've had medium luck with modding them- the standard small size 510 e2's do take the teabag mod better than the XL's.Full of "faff" as we say in the UK, and the bonus of looking like a drug addled drugged hypo wielding maniac.At the end of your review now, and yeah - they do suck. @GrimmGreen I couldn't agree more. I've been vaping for a year and a half and the PTB mod has been there almost since the beginning and vendors are still selling carts with polyfill in them. We get new mods every month :P Why not cartos getting blue filler upgrades aswell?
Too bad your first experience with E2s sucked but a couple things... throw the card that came with it away.
Use syringe with real needle at 20/21 gauge. Liquid on initial fill of E2 XL (you have an XL) is almost 2ml. Refills at about 1.5 maybe a little less. Can refill till taste just doesn't come back anymore. I've not had good luck in flushing, cleaning so I just toss after few days of refills (again, once flavor just doesn't come back).
you need to fill this up completely, like capt12b said, let the wick soak, these cartos are fantastic, the R3 and the R4 are amazing from Royal Smokers, its a new carto so this means a little bit more of a new way of doing things, hope this helps....
I love the CE2s. You just need to let the wick soak up the juice after you fill it or you burn the wick and then the bad taste wont go away. After they are filled and primed - they rock. There is a very good mod out there that makes filling much easier and using the mod has made the CE2 my favorite cartos :-)
Same experience with them as you nick and wasted a lot of juice in the process of trying to get R4's working well. You shouldn't need to be a magician to get a cartomizer to wick correctly. Boge 510lr's seem to be the only cartos that really work well, if only they had a little more flavour, theyd be perfect.

I have the "older" version of 510 cartos and they taste terrible. The rubber taste and smell just doesn't go away.

i have these carts and i love them. if u mod them by taking out that plug and just puttin in 2 rubber rings it works great. i have no problems with mine at all but mine were royal smokers

The XL holds 2ml on the first fill. I'm typing this as I watch so you might reach this conclusion...without the teabag mod-they SUCK. With the teabag mod they partially suck.I've had medium luck with modding them- the standard small size 510 e2's do take the teabag mod better than the XL's.Full of "faff" as we say in the UK, and the bonus of looking like a drug addled drugged hypo wielding maniac.At the end of your review now, and yeah - they do suck. Mmmm.. melted plastic. Lovely.

@Smoke2Vape ha ha ha ha, yeah.... i have said it before, i will say it again... with as far as we have come in vaping, there is really no reason to be fiddling this much to have a nice vape. good to know i'm not crazy when it comes to the E2's

@GrimmGreen I couldn't agree more. I've been vaping for a year and a half and the PTB mod has been there almost since the beginning and vendors are still selling carts with polyfill in them. We get new mods every month :P Why not cartos getting blue filler upgrades aswell?

Too bad your first experience with E2s sucked but a couple things... throw the card that came with it away.
Use syringe with real needle at 20/21 gauge. Liquid on initial fill of E2 XL (you have an XL) is almost 2ml. Refills at about 1.5 maybe a little less. Can refill till taste just doesn't come back anymore. I've not had good luck in flushing, cleaning so I just toss after few days of refills (again, once flavor just doesn't come back).

you need to fill this up completely, like capt12b said, let the wick soak, these cartos are fantastic, the R3 and the R4 are amazing from Royal Smokers, its a new carto so this means a little bit more of a new way of doing things, hope this helps....

I love the CE2s. You just need to let the wick soak up the juice after you fill it or you burn the wick and then the bad taste wont go away. After they are filled and primed - they rock. There is a very good mod out there that makes filling much easier and using the mod has made the CE2 my favorite cartos :-)

Same experience with them as you nick and wasted a lot of juice in the process of trying to get R4's working well. You shouldn't need to be a magician to get a cartomizer to wick correctly. Boge 510lr's seem to be the only cartos that really work well, if only they had a little more flavour, theyd be perfect.

OMG why the hell does everyone have such a hard time with these?
I have 20 and every one of them work fine. Grimm- put almost two full syringes (yes, it will fit) into the XL and you'll be fine.
Perfect taste.
No burnt taste
No leak.
WAY BETTER than any other carto. Anyone that argues either only had the old E2's or have succumb to user error, and nothing more. Good luck.

IMO, the "manufacturer" possibly didn't link the coil to where the juice is being held, as in "consider the source!"
I have heard a lot of good about the E2s from royalsmoker ....dunno who makes them, as of yet.
