  • Thanks for the tut. I feel it helps so much because I was going to jtag my console but I don't have the right dashboard so you helped me so much

  • @wawmodzify Glad I could help out in some way. :)

  • Just a suggestion, but wouldn't it be better to read the NAND before you attach the coolrunner to be sure you have the correct CB for the RGH to work? (As I am typing this am not even sure if the CB is currently still a limitation when trying the RGH)

  • @maverxkz Hey there! Thank you for bringing this up. This video was made before I realized a few processes that would make it much easier and more reliable than doing all the other "hardware" installs. I have quite a few tutorials in the works that are thought out much better than these videos you've been watching. You are 110% right. That's the way it should be done, but I was too green to realize that. Thank you for your input. :) btw, the new split CB's have been hacked. We'rejustwaitingnow.

  • Can I do the flashing using my laptop?

  • @ricardorn06 Most definitely! With all the right drivers installed, you'll be ready to rock! I just did some flashing with my brother's little acer netbook. Spot on!

  • How do I know the size my Nand on my xbox

  • @ricardorn06 You first find out what kind of board you have by matching up your power input socket, on the back of the Xbox to a referencing picture you can find on google. :) After that, if you have any on-board memory, without a HDD attached, you either have a 256MB NAND or a 512MB NAND. You can also look at the NAND chip and google the numbers if all else fails. ;)

  • Best tutorial out there! Only thing I would say is next time it would be even better if you got a close up on the points your actually soldering or an edit showing the diagram as your soldering.

That's just me being lazy though. Damn good tutorial!

  • @Usernamethisssssssss Thank you! :) Believe me, if you think this one is ok...wait till you see the NEW tutorials coming out in the next month or so. ;)))

  • I have a dash 7371 and I'm trying to decide whether I should jtag or rhg. Your video was very helpful. How do you know what type of board you have without checking the nand at the end?

  • @GuitarHeroPhenomSux You'd want to dump your NAND first and see if it's exploitable in 360FlashTool. Thank you for your kind words. :) You'd have to look up a Xbox power receptacle picture chart that will tell you what board you have.

  • what's with the hammer to open up the xbox ?

  • @filipposan872 LMAO! You are the only person, in two months, that has actually caught that. If you were to hear the conversation between my brother and I on how difficult the case was being on video, you'd totally understand. I like to insert really obscure humor in my videos from time to time and this was one of them. If you were to slow the video down, you'd see that is was a motion with the hammer, not actually hitting it. Thank you for your comment. XD

  • Ok disregard the previous messages I got my qsbs installed but when I plug NAND into my computer and try to program this coolrunner it says USB device not found but when I plug it into the pc it says drives not sucessfully installed

  • can somebody help me it wont pick up my nand on my computer

  • Jonnyguns I need u to reply to me right away but I got my nandx but the other qsb I got doesn't. Look like the one u installed next to av port I saw a picture on consoles and the new one it has j2d2 on it it goes behind the first one plz help any1 I'm doing it right now

  • Yeah I ordered all the stuff from xconsoles then watched the video again to make sure I had everything and I think you forgot to add the qsbs to the list of things you need in the comments under the video (not sure if they came with the coolrunner or not) so I ordered them just in case.

xconsoles was awesome though the replied really quick after I said I forgot something.

  • @JoeCamo Yes, you are correct. I did forget the QSB. I'm sorry for that, but I have put them in the description now. Thanks for that. :)

  • I found the asnwer to what motherboard u have, I have to watch in NAN-X folder !

  • How would I put a freestyle dash with xex menu on this

  • Hello I have a question, how do i Know how much mb I have on my Jaster motherboard ?

    Thanks.

  • @haimaidutenpulamea Turn on your Jasper, go to your memory, and the main unit (wich is the internal NAND Flash, aka internal Hard Drive), and it should be self explanatory. If you need more help, ask!

  • @haimaidutenpulamea I used to look at the NAND chip and type in the product number. Like a 16MB Jasper is a 8281A, etc. I just googled the daylights out of everything. ;) Glad you've got it!

  • i did the same you did in video but my v105 point on the coolrunner started to smoke and melt did i mass up or is the a bad coolrunner i got plz help

  • @Thealanbraveheart Oh, I'm terribly sorry to hear this! I hope you got it sorted. I had some family trouble and wasn't on the site for quite a few days. Was it possible that you had it plugged in upside down? You might be able to talk with the company that you bought it from, about getting a defect replacement.

  • Amazing tutorial! Awesome! Thanks!

  • @emilesohier Your comment is much appreciated. ;)

  • @StinkyNewYork In the beginning and the end of the video, I have put a link to a video showing you how to read the NAND and compare (0:02 - 16:53.) The NAND-X points are connected to the QSB's that I "did" show in the video at 7:55 and 8:19 (soldering them in.) Followed by 16:29 "showing you" that this is how you would plug in the NAND-X to read your NAND.

  • @XJonnyGunsX where is the vid to compare plz cause i can't see it :( can u pm me it plzzzzz and thank you for helping me RGH my xbox

  • @StinkyNewYork Ok, PM sent. :)

  • @XJonnyGunsX oh ty bro ur boss and i will comment when i have finished it (like 1 month to get the cup :()

  • @StinkyNewYork Ah, man. I know what you mean with wait times. Gah!! Awesome, definitely would like to hear how everything goes for ya! Cheers! :)

  • Dude, you're such a boss.

People like you that give me hope in our society and actually share their knowledge with other people instead of keeping it to themselves. And the best part it that it's free and you're not stealing other peoples money, you are just teaching like a good man.

    Fucking radical bro

  • @YoungJay52 Thank you for your encouraging comment. I appreciate the positive feedback. I'll get some better tutorials up here in the near future. ;)

  • I bought a 68nF 50V ceramic capacitor with my coolrunner bundle from xconsoles because it would increase boot times, but where do I install this at?

  • hey I'm on 14699 what do i need to know to do this before i start the tutorial??? do i need to find something out????? i have a falcon phat

  • @StinkyNewYork Awesome! You'll have lots of fun with RGH'ing your console. Lucky you! a Falcon? They're the best. ;) Ok, lets see here. Make sure if you have all the tools to get started that you get two identical NAND reads. This is serious business. Don't proceed until you have two matching NAND reads. If you write something to the NAND without having good dumps then it'll be hell, bluntly. Just relax and take it step by step. You'll do awesome! Best of luck and shout if you need anything. :))

  • is there a certain type of wire i need to wire the coolrunner?

  • @LakeeeVFilms When you order the Coolrunner, the wires are included.(for both a PHAT and a Slim) :)

  • how do you enable the coolrunners rev B for faster booting time?

  • @iHaRDKoRexX There will be an area named CAP. All you have to do is bridge the two pads together to have the capacitor in line. Best of luck! :)

  • Thank you for the videos! They've helped me a lot within the Reset Glitch.

  • @lolkias You got it! Glad I could have helped. Even in the slightest. ;)

  • i really recommend not using the QSB. the less you use it the less your relying on it. great job on the coolrunner install. you can watch some of my install videos also and some of my dual nand solution. i bought my coolrunner from ebay for $17. cheaper than modcentral thats for sure.

by the way the ebay seller is evosolutionz. if you watch my youtube videos you can see i use his products.

  • @dajewboi Hey daj! I hear you on the QSB's and the reliance on them. I've actually switched my liking to putting in everything manual. Less to order and can be faster in some cases. :) I'll check your channel out and see what's going on! Thanks for stopping by.

  • can you do reset glitch on any dashboard??

  • @oGxC59Zz Yes. :) The thing you want to research and look out for is the CB of your consoles. Come consoles with a higher CB can not be RGH'd. I've been extremely lucky with all the Falcons and Jaspers that I've been dealing with. 360 Multi_Builder takes care of everything with a FREEBOOT image. It's quite the program. ;)

  • LOVE the music. Great video. Very professional. Thanks! :)

  • @jayaldridge1 Thank you so much for your kind words. I made these videos specifically for you guys.. ;)

  • So what does this do to the Xbox,I don't get it

  • @rostibluh This makes it so you can play backup games off of your hard drive. It does so much. You can play Nintendo 64, NES games, run different dashboards (freestyle dash) and all kinds of fun stuff. You know? I should make a video sometime with all the stuff you can do with a hacked 360. *evil grin*

  • what motherboard isit you got?

  • @randall465 This was my 2009 Jasper Elite (16MB NAND) :)

  • I am new to soldering so i dont know what flux is or does? Do i need to use flux?

  • @videoblizzard2323 if you are new to soldering then i suggest you get some one off ebay to this for you they only charge 30-40 pounds and the person who did my one flashed my drive and burnt me a copy of mw3 with pick up and postage for 39.99

  • @xXSnip3SwiFtXx Yes, definitely! People that have been doing this professionally usually have pretty good deals. You'll find a lot of people on team-xecuter, ioffer, ebay, you name it! Like it was said, he had a bonus with the flashing. ;) Thanks for your input!

  • good video :)

  • @videoblizzard2323 Thank you very much! =]

  • The Best tutorial i ever seen for RGH.Thanks that video help me to make my fat xbox360 rgh.Now i need to instal dual nand chip or wait for team xecuter "DEMON"???

  • @borisovbobby Awesome! Congrats on the RGH! I want to thank you for the kind words. Much appreciated. Yes! Wait for the DemoN. It'll. be. SICKKK! I'll do a video on the un-boxing and install ;)

  • Nice tutorial I need to recover the DVD key would I still have to install the coolrunner or can I just install the NAND x qsb???

  • @littlede1996 You don't necessarily need the QSB. Just install the coolrunner and MAKE SURE you have two or more good reads of the NAND. ;) Then you can write Xell to the NAND and grab those keys. :D All you'd have to do after that is write back your original nand. *thumbs up*

  • what kind of wires are at 9:30????? where can i find them?

  • hi man! awesome video..... listen, waht kind of wires are at 9:30Min??? and where can i find it??? sorry for my english :)

  • @ju29ro94 Hey! No problem. If you'd like to post a comment in the language you're comfortable with, I'm more than happy to translate for you and write back in the same manner. :) Those wires you see are actually included with the coolrunner package. They give you two sets of wires. One for the Phat "and" Slim. ;))

  • when i press flash glitch board in jtag tool is says no device found

  • @IzItCuzImBlakXD Hmmmm, *speaks to the floor* "I hate it when that happens." lol Do you have your NAND-X drivers installed? I know that you probably have everything set. I'm just curious how you have everything set up. Also, I've been hearing that the JTAG cable from NAND-X to Coolrunner is easy to flip upside down by mistake. Make sure the little black tab, plugging into the coolrunner is smooth side up. Shoot me a message if you're still having trouble.

  • do the qsb's come with the nand-x?

  • @tonib1407 Only one part of the NAND reading QSB comes with the NAND-X. You'd have to order a Coolrunner QSB and that would come with everything you'd need to attach to the board. :)

  • @XJonnyGunsX

Wait so we have to order something else other than everything you listed in the video? I just ordered everything you listed in the video, but now youre saying we need to order another thing?

  • Awesome video man! Really clear tut, especially with the camera. All the other videos have an unfocused, jittery camera. Much props to you, my good sir!

  • Hey Shippo!

Great tip. Definitely don't need much of anything on the tip, when doing the green wire. I've seen a couple boards that had a bunch of solder on that point because there was too much used. It's pretty much a quick tack to that point, but not too shotty, because I've noticed that the green wire, besides the blue, can give you a head ache. :P Thank you for your input!

  • wow that green wire looks as hard as hell to solder. My tip would be to clean all the excess solder off the tip of your soldering iron and apply just enough solder to the tip to attach the wire. Too much solder on the tip will create a huge blob of solder that will easily cover all the resistors and components in the area where you are supposed to solder the green wire. Also, make sure you tin the wire (not too much) so that you will be able to attach it much quicker.

  • Hey nice vid how much for a reball? Error code 0102

  • Hi, I installed all the hardware. At the point i have to connect the coolrunner program cable to the nand-x, i don't have that cable! why isn't in the package with the Nand-X? or in the Coolrunner Bundle? Or you have to buy that cable seperatly?

    Good tutorial by the way.

  • e l i t e t e c h g a m i n g . c o m /forum//index.php?/topic/1439-rgh-reset-glitch-hack-everything-you-need-to-know/page__pid__7889#entry7889 for all your info to do your own RGH (The First Part you need to take the spaces out :)

  • This method is the same for 14699 dashboard yes?

  • @GamexJoy Yes! Be sure you check your CB and all the NAND info before you go ahead and do it. :) Look on Team-Xecuter's forums and google for more information. Best of luck!

  • @XJonnyGunsX So in other words the whole nand process is done first using video number 2 method then i work my way through to coolRunner?

  • @GamexJoy Yes! Be sure you check your CB and all the NAND info before you go ahead and do it. :) Look on Team-Xecuter's forums and google for more information. Best of luck!

  • @XJonnyGunsX can it go online with xkeys

  • could someone tell me why is the hdmi output needed to perform this task?

  • @cikson18 Because non-HDMi doesn't have a Hana Chip and non-HDMi have ana. and the ana is too slow for this modification :D

  • does the xbox have to be hdmi?

  • @xGoMLxScRuBz Yes, sadly for those who don't have one. :/

  • Liquid flux is better in my opinion

  • @FockingCamper I agree. haha, I ran out of mine and all I had left was my tacky flux-RS Rosin flux, which works great as well.

  • i got Error: 250 reading block 080 on my first nand read how do i fix this

  • @Venomx413 How's your soldered points on the mobo? You know what I've heard recently? If you have anything big powered on the same power circuit, it will effect your NAND reads. Is there a big audio system on the wall plug, or anything like that? (consuming a lot of AC power.) I'll PM you a link on this topic. :D

  • @XJonnyGunsX i already resoldered the QSBs to the motherboard and those and fine now and i unplugged everything that was running on the same power as my xbox and computer but i still get the error

  • @XJonnyGunsX could u pm me with the link to please

    thanks

  • Great tutorial! Always nice to see everywhere to solder.

Have my QSB's but haven't taken the courage to solder it on for two reasons.

HANA solderpoint and the green wire.

At the HANA solderpoint it is like 2 dots of solder, are these going to be bridged or should the QSB stick to the points nearest HANA or the other one?

  • @Xaitra Hey! Thank you for your kind words! :)

The HANA QSB's end should be solder bridged to the point, just before the 33ohm resister. You'll see how it works when you solder the first part of the QSB back on the J2B1 port. Have fun and get ahold of me if you need any tips. :)

  • Nice.video make more.about it

    Thanks

  • Is there a ETA on part 2. Also you are very good at what you do. I mite try this because the way u are doing it looks easy and I learned how to solder from my mom and she used to do a lot of that when she was younger............also if I decide to do this may I buy everything of u because I live in Canada and they do not ship here well hope to see part 2 bye

  • @xboxmodzhero Anything you need help with, I'm down to do my best!

  • Great Tut! Dont think ive seen a video of actually installing the coolrunner.

funny how the qsb goes over the easy points, and the hard ones still have to be solderd to the bottom.

I already have a usb flasher but it seems that ill have to get a nand-x as well, it just would be easier to program the chip with.

anyway, liking the tut. hopefully i can get a few things settled and then i can buy another xbox to RGH.

  • @gargoyle67 Good points and I agree with it. This is my method. I've been using this style ever since tech school. I couldn't tell you why I started doing it this way, just works better for me. Some people say that it could cause splash damage - this and that. If you're careful and you don't throw the iron around, it'll be fine. I've been working on telecommunication radios and computers with this method for 13 years.

  • @XJonnyGunsX ,

Whatever works I guess, Although I found hot gluing the wires on the back before getting good boot times was a mistake for me (Had to remove the glue with a hair dryer on hot), As I found that you need to move the wires about to find the sweet spot. I used electric tape so I could move the wires around and find the best spot with trial and error. Nice tut and very professionally made, Looking forward to part 2.

  • @gargoyle67 Man, I totally agree with the hot glue. TO ANYONE READING THIS!!! DON'T USE GLUE TILL YOUR COMPLETELY DONE. :) I used Kapton tape when I first started and that worked great. Definitely agree with you on the glue. Man, what a pain it can be! Since I've done a jasper before, I knew where the sweet spot was, and that's why I did it this way in the video :)) Thank you for the nice feedback. I like it when I see a tut that's straightforward, right to the point. Part 2 is up now :D ttyl!

  • cant wait

  • Ah if only i can go back and time where i didn't screw my xbox up HAH

  • I know thedopesoner930 :)

  • @xTTGxHaCKz Awesome, man! Great guy and my inspiration for this channel. :D

  • Great tutorial!

  • wheres part (2)

  • @blackops696 I'm still producing it ;)

  • @Xjonnygunsx

great vid should do more very detailed

  • i wish you had made this a little earlier.lol but great tutorial man i learnt alot even though i did mine a month back :)

  • Nice Tutorial! Very Detailed.

  • these is the best tutorial on you-tube

    great job.
