  • this is amazing! i love bach...well mostly just the cello and guitar stuff he has. anyway, is is possible to find the sheet music of this online..for free?

  • 1:27 Bless you!

  • Langsam! Langsam! Es ist zu schnell.

  • @JoePB216 Ich stimme mit Ihnen

  • WOW very nice! can i have the tabs to this?

  • @davidholmes282 it would probably better in sheet music, as much as i love tabs, i am a perfectionist when it comes to baroque/classical/romantic period music and to get this as best as your talent will allot sheet music is necessary so you can get the tempo just right and not cut short some drawn out notes

  • @xxVivaldixx I'll have to learn to read music then. Thanks!

  • @davidholmes282 yea no problem i hope you do learn this though!

  • You're talented, good job, but I would suggest playing it with more freedom. This is an immensely beautiful piece and it can be filled with a lot of emotion.

  • he looks like buster posey

  • oh come on!fantastic :)

  • Fab. And your good looking!

  • Bravo Bravo & Bravo...

  • Hey! I know you. lol. I need to play this song again... You should come to guitar circle!

  • Nice to see someone play this one without playback!

    ..And doing it really nice!

  • Very well played man!! Like a lot your relaxed right hand... it's too difficult for me! That's maybe why I left the classical guitar to pick up the electric and play some rock... wish I could recover my playing spending not more than 3 hours a week... now I don't have enough time to play... so... please! Continue working and playing like that! For all classical guitar lovers out there like me who can't play now!!!!

  • I wonder how the fight between those guys on page 7-8 went lol

  • Oh my my my. I freakin loooooooove this.

  • ROFL at the comments on pages 7 and 8.

  • 1:27 ACHUU :P prosit lol

  • approximately how long does it take to memorize a piece at this complexity level?

took me over a year with Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring. I'm a jazz player that dabbles in classical.

  • LOL go to page 7 of the comments it's hilarious

  • uhm it is called CELLO suite . . . js

  • very nice !

  • Dude you rock...I wish I hope to play classical one day and move on from chords!!! I love the Cello Suite and you executed it wonderfully!

  • very nice plucking

  • Awesome. I should mos def pick up some of these tabs my self.

  • You play almost as well as you look. ;)

  • what key is this in?

  • @altairrules121 key of G

  • Wow! Absolutely wonderful.

  • hey i wanted to know where u got that book . i would very much like it if u gave the name of it or a book that has that kind of music

    thanks

  • Was this a practice session? What a cutie!

  • You're freaking aswome.!!... keep up the good work, someday i will post my own version of it, and i asure you that i will share it with you!

  • There must be a ton of different transcriptions of this peice, because the one i have is different in some parts.

  • to fast !! but good anyway

  • @KillerBeBop94 this is the right tempo of the song, dont post a comment if you dont know please

  • @hobbitg3 haha okok sorry lol

  • @KillerBeBop94 dont worry lol

  • You know this guy is good.

  • i think i love you

  • well... not bad, but if I may criticise a bit: for my taste i would pick every note when playing the scale up and down...also i'd play it in b major without tuning (better control over the root note) and...what i recognized; the most guitarversions on youtube are played with some longer notes that won't realy fit, so the legato doesn't work if theres one. it destroys the dynamics in the melody that is mathematically constructed and wants to be expressed clear and logically, not like "Renoir"

  • @DonDavidAlegria man... what you just said... is what is killing music played from the heart!

  • Thanks for sharing your performance, I liked it a lot! Check my rendition on my page!

  • Don't care for the arrangement, but I think you play really well.

  • like times a million you rock

  • great job with the dynamics

  • hey men, where i can found that transcription?? nice play

  • On the cello stresses-accents come when a different string is bowed. This is played too smoothly.I am a pianist but listening teaches you that this music should not sound so passionless . That last chromatic scale against the d is a rising cumulative straining(no sense of this in your playing:please think about this music more) .Bach knew what he was doing in laying it out on cello.U need to study that too!

  • Excellent - thoroughly enjoyed this. Very well done.

  • coool can you send me the sheet or post a tutorial ??? thankss

  • Young man, I'm an old classical organist but I enjoyed your music so much. I worry some times when a young person who obviously has a talent but lets go after a while. You should continue for there is much more for you to learn. I'm 71 and still learning aspects of the organ. Well done, well done. God bless.

  • @ryorgan god bless you old man; if only we had resurgence of the morality and values held durring your time but nowadys with this new generation.

  • @MrNogatc0 Huh?

  • @ryorgan what is a 71 years old man doing in youtube??

  • @nicolasito33 Possibly appreciating talent?

  • @nicolasito33 listen to classical music bruh! haha

  • @ryorgan you are a inspiration! :D

  • @ryorgan Thanks for the reinforcement. At 59 I'm barely beginning to learn. And he shows SO much potential. Most would quit at his level and say done.

  • I like it because it is different than many I've heard and played. Good job! ;)

  • i cannot play with my legs open like that i feel BONERble if you now what i mean :D

  • well played sir

  • lovely, my favorite cello piece!

  • coolioJo;

this piece (the first of the 3 that he plays here,is in one of the Fredrick Noad Solo Guitar method books, where it is called Prelude in D. It is originally in the key of G on Cello, but it is usually played in D on Guitar. I believe it's book 2 but it could be book 3.

  • Well done!

  • hahah that random clapping scared the poop out of me!!

  • ok is there a different name for this song when it s played on the guitar and does anyone know where I can find the sheet music?

  • My suggestion would be to just find it for Viola, Violin, Cello depending on which clef you like to read in. Violin is treble, which you're most likely comfortable in.

  • @coolioj0 I'd like to know too....

  • Well played. Nice transcription you have, mine is not so clean :/

  • GRANDIOSO!!!

  • hmm... I think prelude sounds better for transcription that is higher up the fret. Playing near the end of the fret makes the song more hard. I just personally prefer the warmer tones.

Second movement is pure awesome though. Thanks!

  • Fantaically Great

  • =) Great Job!

  • I'm 12 and more mature than u two (comment war below) really u two just made

Me laugh wow sad but hilarious! Lol

  • It's always a pleasure to hear a classic in a different style. Bravo, beautiful! Don't waste your time on negative comments; surround yourself in the positive!

  • i'm not a guitar fan but it sounds very good... congratulations, nice performance

  • A bit too fast for my liking. I appreciate his talent though.

  • very nice! but you are playing it in to fast tempo in the begining

  • That is insane! Nice job man

  • well, it is stupid that people vomit their stupidity here without knowing anything about bach, music, and guitar. those tunes he is playing are broken chords, and the mos important tune there is, the bass tone.

if this guy plays this bach in an examination of a music academy-stick your thumb down into your ass- he wont pass it as he plays it here. this is just a fact. i wanted to be nice, but you dont understand that... the chords arent played correctly.this is what it is. okay?

  • ok then smart guy. lets see you play it better.

  • well, i dont have to play cello in order to play that better. anybody who knows about bach, but not abel to play it better than that, can confirm it. in music academies, by exams of violin classes the professors who sits in juries, could mostly not play at once what there will be examined. in such an examination are mostly sitting not only violin teachers but, piano, cello, and chamber music teachers. they all cannot play what the exam candidate has to. one has nothing to do with the other

  • Dude you know thats not a cello ?

  • yea, he knows, but the original name of the piece was called "bach cello suite no. 1 etcetc"

  • so many thumbs down because you speak the truth! LOL

  • There are some bizarre coments on this one! Funny. Nice playing bro.

  • Fantastic job well done reduse your speed a litlle and dont listen to loosers in here the world is full of those wimps i m sure you can broke his judo nose but is not worth it .

  • loosers? u cant even spell it right.

  • I played this entirely by ear note for note but I wish I can read music just to make myself feel better because I was a lazy ass !

  • I was being sarcastic to my friend below , learn to read first. Why do you call people names? Tell me where you live or email me , lets fight proper and this is a challenge and I did this 2 times on youtube, I can pay for my own transport, please? Thanks . If I dont hear from you < you will hear from me , IP add will tell me where. Its not a threat its just a proposal for me to blow your nose in a legal boxing place, I will pay for the 3 hours. Please let me know thanks

  • @jones4tones and @paranoiuhh

LOL you guys crack me up.

  • tangnatalga nothing comes as a gift! it may not seem like it but everyone practices to be good at playing an instrument. its jus the amount of devotion u put into it. its not a gift.

  • too fast :(, but it's amazing

  • WOW ....

  • wow, you did an amazing job and youre very good looking too.

  • Once again.....BRAVO!!

  • try to feel the piece and play it , not to read it

  • at least he can read music, do you have any idea how hard that is? he is professional not someone who play by ear.

  • Reading music is just practice, bro.

A lot of people teach themselves guitar on their own, and for them reading music is something they never teach themselves.

Also, playing by ear is more difficult than reading music.

Figuring out a piece by listening to it is more difficult then you could realize, obviously.

  • I agree it is hard to figure out a piece by listening to it. Thats why it is a haphazard way to learn an instrument. I have been playing by ear all my life, altho I read a little bit. Playing an instrument is probably one of the most difficult for a non gifted person in which a lifetime devotion is a neccesity. To those who are gifted, then it is a piece of cake. Maybe you are one of the gifted ones.

  • BRAVO!!

  • Key of A - cool! Nice flow sir!

  • i like the speed thats about how fast i play it

  • Too fast.

  • it might be different how people play this piece, but the tempo is too fast

  • Every musician has their own interpretation of a piece of music- just listen to this played by Rostropovitch and then by Yo-Yo Ma- completely different from each other.

I thought this was great, I'm predominantly a clarinet/trumpet player, but I've dabbled in guitar and realize how technically challenging a piece like that is.

    Keep up the good work!

  • I would really appreciate if i can get any information regarding where to get the score from?

  • exelente felicidades

  • what key are u playing it in? isnt the original with D tuning?

  • EXCELLENT

  • cool! ^^

  • doesn anybody play that on cello

  • Very Good Job... I think that some of this assholes in here don't know how hard is to do that... keep it up...

  • I absolutely agree

  • someone is a goon.

  • opa locka goon baby

  • Bach on speed

  • Comment removed

  • nice, were can I find TAB for this

    SLOW DOWN

  • learn how to read music.

  • I can

    Figured Id try east first

  • lol hes obviously not illiterate at it...

  • nice version

  • very nice. the mf doesnt even look to the guitar... lol.... very done.. contragulations..

show debola... o desgraçado nem olha pra guitarra... caraca bicho... parabéns

  • I love it

  • very nice

  • I just posted my video of prelude from cello suite no 1., and I gotta say I like the arrangement you used better than the one I used. Yours sounds truer to the cello than mine. Very nice playing!!

  • Wisley Vilela is a fag compared to this guy lol get some xD

  • you play very good! but you play everything at the same tempo. you should accent more parts in the song. 5*

  • хорошо, но как-то без души

  • wha's with all the "you play too fast" comments? the original cello version is at a similar tempo!

  • not bad, but you def. need some work.

  • I think you play marvelously! thank you for sharing your beautiful performance... I don't play guitar per se but I can see you have a very firm grasp of the technique - you play so comfortably and the melody just flows... very cool. I can't wait to try this on a pedal harp = )

  • Really good....Can you play it slower? Like yo yo ma's speed?

  • why not in D Major?

  • The song is origanally in G.

  • well done Thomas!

  • Wisley Vilela is a fag compared to this guy lol get some xD

  • Not bad technically, but totally lacks feeling. Slowing down and speeding up doesn't really add feeling, it just makes it feel awkward.

  • You only wish you could play like this. Guy did a spectacular job!

  • yaa that dude it's not Segovia, he has to know that before he plays a mov. whit so much tempo rubato.

  • true

  • MAN THIS GUY IS WAY BETTER THEN THAT DORK Wisley Vilela. LOL

  • das ist toll :)

ich glaube ich werde meinen Gitarrenlehrer mal darauf ansprechen, weil ich das auch spielen möchte :)

  • I love the faster pace in this version. It seems like everyone wants to play it as a somber piece, but it can also be jubilant. And the way he plays it, fast and precise, makes it sound very joyful, rather than the melancholy, reflective way in which Yo yo Ma would play it.

  • fast played but also very smooth, nice.

  • everything is very good but i wouldn't play prelude so fast

  • he is not a handmodel, lisen to the music!!

  • dude, your right hand looks fine

  • agreed

  • ouch your right hand kind of looks contourted

  • what then is this to do with the music?

  • well first off i never said it had any thing to do with the music or the way it sounds (good job by the way). i was talking about the way his hand was placed its in what looks to be a segovia "x" possition (where he cocks it to the left). which alot of people use and alot of people hurt themselves using it b/c it constricts the small space (carpal tunnel) that the tendons go through. which agitates them and can cause them to swell. it doesn't bother everyone it just looked unconfortable to me.

  • This is awesome!

  • This dude pulls the bitches with this song, I can tell...

  • chicks dig musicians.

  • great. simply perfect, and very pleasant to my ears. :) keep up the good work

  • "That's Bach, and it rocks. It's a rock block of Bach, that we learned in the school, the school of hard knocks."

  • its classic my friend :P

  • you play great, but you have terrible right hand posture.

  • I've never seen anybody play a guitar like that... it's kinda like a cello, except not as awesome of course! :p

  • do you mean by how he's holding the guitar? In classical guitar, that's how you hold it :)

  • why do you people care WHICH key it's in? it's called transposition, and there's nothing wrong with that, as long as it's in key, then what's wrong with it?

  • True, Bach originally wrote it in Gmaj, but he also wrote it for cello. When you arrange something for another instrument, things have to be changed. Get off your damned high horse and enjoy the fucking music.

  • Wrong Comment

    Smart ass

    hehe

  • you know whats funny? my MATH teacher can play this. he is hella dope.

He PLAYED 4 BACH PRELUDES TODAY IN CLASS

  • People who are good at music are also good at math...
