Camera shifting was due to my earlier, less experienced efforts-plus, it took time until the tripod fluid head broke in enough for smooth movement. I keep the camera almost entirely on the dance floor, now.
The cameraman should have left the camera on the dancers unless he is trying to keep the dance a secret. We know what musicians and callers look like. Tough to keep your attention when the focus is aimed at the front of the room.
That's one suggestion...However, the musicians wanted the camera shifting to different subjects as much as possible, i.e. dancers, muscians's, callers, etc.
i tried learning the dance but got confused coz of camera shifting :( oh well thats ok :)
