My favorite Kurosawa movie bar none.

It IS overwhelmingly entertaining. I think the remake was pointless. The movie is just as entertaining as it would have been when it was first released. I feel this is a film of timeless value (and much greater than The Seven Samurai IMSillyO, with which I am kind of bored with every time I see it).
