The whole idea of his pouring is the technique and to get the alcohol pouring the fastest way without any waste.

@biggerbob68 He overpoured everyshot there..... Pendulum arm action works far better, and he doesn't teach any cuts which is the primary way to ensure your pour doesn't last to long...

@apollo311 I believe when he pours each 1oz. jigger pour it is just for repetition, and learning to pour. To let the bottle continue pouring even if pouring 2 1oz jigger pours would be incorrect. Overpour.

Yes, free pouring is a necessity at most places, but for several drinks when exact measurements make or break the cocktail, I still use a jigger.

When you know how to pour, you can do the something as if your were measuring you eyeball it.
