This is the best video on youtube! im a huge bird lover so i find your birds very cute anyway, but the story that goes with it is so heartwarming. Im delighted Grobi has such a lovely new home, and a lovely new mate. He must have thought all his birthdays had come at once! Such a contrast to his old life. Keep up the good work my friend.
What do you mean? The budgies just need to know where the windows are (I put post-its on the windows for about 2 weeks, after that time they normally know where the windows are), if the learned that they just need to build up their flight muscles and then they will probably become very skilled free-flying birds.
No, I wouldn't dare to do that. They would probably like to come back, but I don't think they'd find the way :). And also, there might be some birds of prey which would like to eat one of these yummy colorful little snacks.
Oh yes, he does. He is one of the most active birds in our flock today and flies almost all day long. And he is very happy with his female budgie partner Nessie.
Yes, Nessie is the blue female budgie beside him. Grobi is doing extremely well, I guess he's already forgotten all about his lonely life before he got here. He and Nessie are still a cute couple.
Aw, I can`t imagine anybody not wanting a parakeet! They`re like the best pets ever! But it`s good that he arrived in a sweet home where he will be happy! :-) how many parakeets do you have?
Thanks, but I must say this budgie is just awesome! He is so friendly to all the other budgies and is always in good spirits. He shows us every day how much he likes being here.
One can see in the video, how much he enjoys his new situation. How he tries to get in contact with the other budgies and looks around very surprised and curious. Lovely.
Grobi is fine and he is already feeding one female budgie :). He is really nice to all the other budgies and seems to enjoy the company.
But he also does not come out of the aviary yet. I guess it will take some more time for him, since he was not allowed to fly during the last 5 years.
For how long do you have your bugies now? Did you prepare some nice landing spots outside of the cage for them?
No sound?
