Well, I`ll tell you what. Just added 4.10s to my 2003 GT and didn`t get all the spinning and snaking like in the video. My launching is fuss free with a chirp form 1st to 2nd. I have Eibach suspension and Michelin Pilot sports 295/35/18s on the back so either I have the traction or I have no power or he has shit tires. What is it?

Hell Yea!! After I watched this I got 4.10's in an automatic 2007 GT. Man I wish I had done this a while back. Can spin some when going to second without even flooring it!! Basic mods include K&N; Hypertech( People hate to use HYPERTECH but hey it works); Hushpower Pro Series Shortie Mufflers( These just came out for the 4.6L V8 and they sound like you got a scaled down Lambo, I know this because I compared the 2.) I use stp or techron every 3000; it pays to keep it clean; trust that.

@TheSleepermgm I couldn't tell you about the 96 because I never got the speedo gear swapped, but I went from 3.31's to 4.10's on my 07 GT and cruising at 70mph with 27" tires my rpm's are at 2400-2450. and I still get 26mph highway and 17-18 mixed.

@mustangfreak nope ,,lol,,,28 and 38,,i have the bbk 70mm throttle body , adtr,net ported n polished plenum , cai , granatell "hot street" coil on plug , ngk g-power plugs , dual flowtech afterburners , 180 deg jetchip t-stat and a sct x3 custom 93octane tune,,and i manage to pull this mpg wile pulling around 4500lbs,,,,i have a 2000 mercury grand marquis,,,lol,,,the gas i save payes for the parts as long as i keep my foot out of her and drive normal,,,,lol

@rompn4x My friend did the work, but if you have a drill press with a lot of different sized bits, you should be good to go. He had all the tools, so we got it done in about 1.5 hours.

@2889joeracer its when you mod your transmision ,,you drill out the holes that your trany fluid flows through to shift gears,,when you make the holes bigger the shift presure gos up and the trany shift HARD ,,,,its nice you should do it if you have the same trany thats in the gt or panther platform,,,,
