  • Canned chicken is used for tons of chicken salad sandwiches/salads in the US. We have gigantic cans of it here.

  • @lehnkri1 I wonder what it would taste like mixed with Mayo like its supposed to be prepared.

  • @nagaempress

Tried it mixed with mayo and it's still gross. :/

  • @kagome2690 Gross is going to be gross LOL I would have tomatoes/ lettuce/ sprouts might drown it out!

  • @kagome2690 On bread as well LOL

  • @nagaempress

Yes, on bread also. xD I'm just going to stick with buying the rotisserie chickens that you can buy at the supermarket already made. :P

  • Can this stuff be stir fried?

  • Canned chicken is horrid. Only ppl eating such stuff are ppl that can eat anything as long as they didn't have to cook it lol These are ppl that don't care about food. They just need to fill the pit.

  • I'm American and canned chicken isn't so uncommon here. I've only really ever eaten it with mayonnaise and pickles on sandwiches, I think it's supposed to be eaten like that. Although even then it's not amazing.

  • You're supposed to drain it first...

  • Looks like catfood

  • If you want to be amazed look for a whole chicken in a can

  • You are a doofus, you've never herd of chicken in a can

  • @brett301 It's not common in Australia. Learn some respect before commenting

  • it looks like cat food

  • You think that's bad? Why don't you try "drum roll" SWEET SUE'S WHOLE CHICKEN IN A CAN. It's.......Let's just say Satan wouldn't accept it with your soul. THAT BAD, that the devil would HATE it!

  • dog food never tastes good...

  • i got very sick from it, at first it didn't have the trace fish and crustacea labelled on it, i work in a supermaket and you see people buying this shit all the time

  • its probably scrap from parts like the neck and head lol

  • Than why they sell it when its so disgusting??

By us in Poland this company would not sell it more cause nobody want buy it here something disgusting.

  • I need to understand your pallet to gauge your opinion -like a control food. Can you eat some Spam.

  • 0:25

Excuse me sir, can you please wipe that off my shirt?

  • i had chicken in a can a diffrent brand and it was good after i cooked it

  • hahahahaha, ohh my fucking god.....brilliant love the vids

  • the cans of chicken meat taste like tuna fish in a can. just plain awful.

  • OMG,i must try this..

  • cant be..that bad.......

  • thats cat food

  • Shredded chicken breast my ass. They probably make it from compressed chicken entrails to cut costs.

  • VERRY common in the us but doesnt look as bad as that one. We consider wierd hamburger in a can and WHOLE chicken in a can (not cut)

  • well to make the chicken in the can taste good your actually suppose to dum the water out of the can but the chicken in a bowl and put mayniouse and lemon on it and start mashing it with a fork and its good just like tuna

  • try rotten shark aka surströmming ^^

  • Canned chicken is very common in the United States. In fact, our local Walmart carries about 5 different brands of the stuff. Needless to say, I think the only thing I can tolerate it in is soup. Most people make chicken salad sandwiches out of the stuff.

  • why is this so weird? its like canned tuna. the WHOLE canned chicken is the weird shit

  • what the FUCK

  • I didn't like it , but my cat did.

  • why is that so weird? Its called chicken salad, its way better then tuna fish.

  • why is that so weird? Its called chicken salad, its way better then tuna fish.

  • hahaha 2:05

  • dude, you know you want to scarf the entire can.

  • OPCB; you are a lot braver than I am..Clover Leaf here in Canada makes "flaked chicken" in a can. its not bad in a pinch, but I've never been in a pinch

  • It smells..... Oh gawd it smells...........

  • Aren't u supposed to cook it or heat it up?

  • @blueprintmorgan No, it's meant to be put on sandwiches etc ;)

  • he looks like a chicken in a can

  • What? I've been buying this for years.

    Again. What?

  • LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • maybe its soylent green?

  • i had one of the ones with mayo in it and was pleasantly surprised. i wouldn't eat it every day but it was certainly not too bad,

  • It's good for dieting though, I spewed for 2 days after trying it for the first (and LAST) time!

  • IT LOOKS LIKE CATFOOD ..GROSS

  • I came across this video by chance and your great reading voice had me glued throughout the 5 minutes. Bravo! :)

  • The first time I tried it, the smell and taste was just like Tuna I would not eat

    again. really gross.

  • I just loved your reaction.

  • That looks gross..

  • i think u really like that chicken...spit it out if its that gross

  • I've seen some disgusting chicken in a can products... but I (in America) have been eating chicken salad pretty much only consisting of chunk canned chicken breast, mayo and seasoning since I was a young child (water removed of course).

I do understand your reaction to this particular product though, haha.

  • I thought it would be bloody beautiful, just like tinned tuna so i bought the one in mayo tried it and... well... my reaction was pretty similar to yours @ 3:30. and your right, it doesnt really have the concistency of chicken, i thinks its artifical. =( its definatly an australia product fail. ugh.

  • You think that's bad? I've seen whole canned chicken, as in the entire chicken in a can. It's kept 'fresh' by a mucus layer.

  • what'll they think of next? mince in a can?!?!

  • Eww. I haven't tried it, but I think I will pass! Thanks for checking this out for us... sorry for your experience!

I'm a new sub and really liking your videos! I have been watching Nicko's vids (both channels) for awhile and he had pointed to you a number of times. Glad I checked you out! I hope you will keep posting!

  • I'd call it chicketuna. I bet it was a failed pet food recipe.

  • Omg, I know this was ages ago, but I finally got around to giving it a taste.. and omg, I spat it out too, I thought you had overreacted when I watched this, but no.. it was utter filth!

  • So mate.....Go Veg and save the planet...and LIVE

  • I noticed right next to this can now is a competitor? another brand fighting for the coveted shredded chicken in a can crown lol, looks better than this though, even has a chicken chunks version, might have to try it in comparison?

  • so bad!

  • I stay away from meats in cans. Like Devil's Ham. It's like, gritty and gooey and salty. And that was on a sandwhich.

  • Perphaps it supposed to be in the pet food isle...but someone not paying attention misplaced it...lol.

  • @TempleOfGaia i'd never feed my dog with something like that

  • omg its so disgusting *eats mouthful more*

  • @XballerX77 Haha, I LMFAO when I saw that too.

  • i got food poisoning from it, it had seafood traces in it and i had a severe allergy to it

  • agreed!! its sooo BAD

  • we have chicken ham beef all in a can but i wont try them cus they remind me of cat food

  • i think cat food might be tastier

  • lol your probably right

  • Of course my comments will disappear because this chat is one way view!

  • Blocked for being an obnoxious moron.

  • I suspected as much. I recall you can get a whole chicken in a tin, like in the Gourmet section-this could be a UK thing..but you have this entire cooked chicken 'shoe-horned' into a tin, it actually was not that bad.

  • "crap in a can" :P

  • OH MY FUCKING GOD!

  • Hi David!!! 5*****'s for attempting to eat this product!.. I first showed it on my channel in January, and 'til date, I still cant bring myself to taste it!!

**Giggles**..... I think the term "Any Press is Good Press".... may be wrong in this instance!!!!

I'll thank RawAussie for steering me toward your channel!!

    xoxo

  • dude, BALLS for actually swallowing it! (Y)

  • I guess that this product will be a western reincarnation of Japan's Nato a ferminated bean curd,THAT IS DISCUSTING, in fact i rather eat nato cos atleast its an original product, canned chicken is a shame on all "taste like chicken" statements

  • It tastes horrible because its mostly beaks and assholes dude!!

  • they should just export it all to haiti and get rid of it :P~~`X

  • I ate a banana peel so I am sure I can handle this. If I can find here I will definitely eat it on video... and if I don't like I have cats that will eat anything. =)

    -- Heidi

  • I had to turn it off for a while, while I was eating my burrito lol.

  • lol spit it out then!

  • i think the english might eat it they eat brussel sprouts they will eat anything

    ITS CAT FOOD !!!!!!!

ITS ALL THE SCRAPS FROM THE CHICKEN have u ever been to product testing ppl say the most ridiculoua things about the most disgusting foods

Smoked chicken from the butchers is very nice

  • LOL.. I'm Australian and I love brussel sprouts.. -_- =P

  • Uni students have to eat something...hahaha

  • let them eat noodles

  • We got a bit of a "gag" from you there on the second try! Yeccchhaa...I already knew one could erase PENCIL with plain tinned chicken. SMOKED tinned chicken must serve a dual purpose as weed and insect killer when it isn't being used to exterminate shoppers! XD

  • You know what's even more disgusting? Sweet Sue brand WHOLE chicken in a can.

  • yummy...lol

  • It looks like a pile of crap. Sorry you had to taste it!

  • lol u sweared haha rofl yuk i wont be eating it il take your word Mr One Pot Chef :-)

  • onepotchefblog what was the name brand of the canned chicken you had

  • It was "Heinz" brand ;)

  • we have it in a can here but not that brand... I have not seen it shredded though... definitely something to leave out of the survival kit!

  • I know how you feel. I hate tinned salmon. The spinal column is rank

  • I agree.....but if you toss it into a bowl...and pick out the bones and the skin.....you can add a few ingredients(onion, green pepper,an egg and bread crumbs) and smoosh it up, you can make salmon patties that taste pretty passable!

  • LMFAO!

Ive seen the chicken in a can stuff at the supermarket. Ive always assumed it would taste like cat food.

  • 1 out of 5 was generous...

  • Perhaps the flavouring is there so you cannot possibly taste the chicken?

  • I actually liked it. Though I never ate it by itself. I put it in sandwiches with mayo. I have tried 3 of the 8 types and I never had a problem with it. Your reaction seems way over the top, it's like you had made your mind up about it before you had even tried it.

  • I had been told it was awful, but was willing to keep and open mind...until I opened the can and smelled it. It went down hill from there.

Maybe the other flavours are nicer - but this one was just awful.

  • No,I just cant do it,seems wrong!LOL David you just had to do it didn't you.....tell him not to and what does he do.I dread to think what it really is! :O

  • It's people LOL

  • Had my suspicions about soylent green, lol! I'm not as brave as Graham, wont be trying it.....thank you! Mwah! <3

  • That definitely doesn't look too good! The one we have in the states is actually good

  • Might have to try and get some from the US to do a comparison.

  • Maybe you have to drain it, and leave it out to dry for a few days, ha. Brave guy!!!

  • Looks dodgy. Chicken is not meant to be watery! You are a brave man. After seeing it I wouldn't be able to go any further! lol!

  • If it makes you feel better - the "water" was thick like gel and was kinda fluorescent white!

  • In the US, Tyson brand makes a canned chicken that is pretty good. Nice big chunks of chicken. Good for soups, sammies, salads, etc. Maybe you can get it in Aus? If you can try it. Also, Tyson brand--it's not smoked at all. :)

  • We have a lot of canned meats in the states. Tuna, chicken, ham, beef, etc. Some of the brands are terrible, but some are quite good. Tyson does a "canned" chicken that's actually in a foil pouch. It's quite good. I've used it to make chicken salads and small pots of chicken and noodle soup when I was sick. Is that the only canned chicken product you guys have in Australia?

  • It's the first one I've ever seen (besides Chicken Spam and some awful chicken meat paste from Russia) - so maybe it's the start of something big...

  • hmmm. Well, if you find the kind in the pouch it's usually much better. I wish I could finid vegemite here without ordering it online. I'm one of the rare few outside of Australia that actually liked it the first time I tried it.

  • LOL just put a ton of mayo in it :) We have some from here that I *hear* is good from Trader Joe's.

  • Is the maker of this "Heinz" ? I have read Heinz on the front. They make a good Ketchup :D

  • I usually like their products - but this one was awful!

  • lol it looks like shit and I bet that it tastes like shit too xD Hey I know what you can do next: Try the Cinnamon Challenge! If you dont know what it is basically you take about a tablespoon of cinnamon, eat it and try to digest it. Its not the most simple thing to do trust me xD see you later!

  • ha ha it looks like something the dog puked up, 5* for trying it,

    lynda.

  • Are you sure you didn't get that in the cat food isle?

  • Cat food would have tasted better!

  • i just had to give you 5 stars for eating that crap..

  • The chicken in a can over here is pretty good. I make enchiladas with it. Very tasty :)

    Connie

  • not much in a can tastes good

  • That's true, but I don't mind canned tuna (when it's done properly)

  • The point if canning is STORAGE , but chichen is the esiest thing to store , so what's the point thene ?!!!

if someone is to lazy to pore some water over achichen berst , thene jusy buy a rotasery one ,

CANNED CHICHEN the most stubid thing I've ever heard

  • I agree - fresh and frozen chicken is fairly cheap here - paying $2 for a tiny can of horrible chicken is a rip off!

  • bet you needed a chocolate cake to take that taste out of your mouth XD

  • I needed some bleach to get the taste out my mouth!!!

  • ok Dave, I am brave. I will buy some and do a taste test too.

  • YAY!!! Can't wait to see it!

  • Chicken of the land!!!

Btw do you have chicken of the sea brand in Aus?

  • LOL!!!

No we don't have that brand here in Australia, but it's world famous thanks to Jessica Simpson hehehe

  • LOL!! Think I'll give this a miss. :/

  • My husband bought something similar at the store for hurricane season here. When I opened it to cook with it the smell was replusive and I can't bring myself to use it o eat it.

  • Anything canned is fucking crap.

  • Doesn't look the best. I'll stick with tuna...

  • dude epic spit ball thing around 0:29 its comin out of his ear

  • Whoops! I missed that hehehe

Next time I'll say it, not spray it!

  • lol i bought this yesterday too, i got the chunks, and it tasted like shit never gonna buy it again.

  • Yeah, it's just awful. I'm astonished they actually thought this was going to be a hit. It's like the company didn't taste it before selling it!

  • If i ever find this, i'll make a response. Seeing you almost die made me curious :P

  • I promise it's yummy scrummy LOL

Can't wait to see the response!

  • In the States the Swanson Co has a premium white chunk chicken breast in a can and it's pretty good; it doesn't look like the one that you have there though. I use it instead of tuna in sandwiches sometimes.

  • Canned chicken is fairly new here in Australia, so I imagine once someone comes up with a decent version the standards will go up across the board.

In the meantime - avoid this one like the plague!!!

  • When i get really bad tuna in a can i tip out the juice crap and it tastes better :D

  • Normally I would do the same, but even when I drained it - it was still awful!

  • I think ill pass... your a brave man

  • Go on, try it - I promise it's really really nice

    *crosses fingers behind back*

  • i had it D:

yeah, it tasted more like fish than chicken lol.

    Definitely no good.

  • Not sure why chicken should taste like fish - unless they took the leftover tuna and bleached it...YUK!

  • thks for the heads up

  • No problem - but if you know someone you don't like, tell them how wonderful it is hehehe

  • oohhhhhhhhh noooo! hahaha, it is sooo bad, Heinz should be ashamed lol

  • It really is - I should have listened to you LOL

  • we have some of that in canada..

our tastes pretty good but i guess its to own its taste..

our looks way different then what you have..even the can itself..

hmm we dont have the smoked one tho..

Wonder if they taste the same.. lol..

    we should swap !. haha

  • Sounds like you Canadians have got it better than us - perhaps a prisoner exchange is in order hehehe

  • I'm in NZ and I found chicken in a can but it wasn't shredded it was chunked. I got the one in spring water and I thought it was nice. I mixed it with mayo and onions and made a sandwich and I enjoyed it. My little sister likes it in her lunchbox so try a different flavour and maybe chunked instead of shredded. I did love your reaction lol. I'm so not getting a smoked one.

  • Maybe the NZ version is made of actual chicken - this one tasted like it was made of angry devil spawn!

  • Bahah wtf!

  • LOL glad you liked it hehehe

  • Ive had it..taste like rubbish!

  • Agreed - so so awful!!!
