The Army can deploy everywhere. If the Russians invade Europe the US Army will be there to help the EU and if China and North Korea invade South Korea and Japan the Army will also be there.
The Marines area of operation is only confined to the Philippines and Japan.
Note I did not mention Iraq and Afghanistan since thats a joint effort.

There's a enormous difference between ads for the American Forces and ads for the Canadian Forces.
American ads tend to be all "We're the best, No one can stand up to up"
Canadian ads say "Join us, and help us help others"
And the deciding factor in any war is not who has the strongest military, but who is capable of replacing massive casualties the fastest. Production, Logistics, and the willingness to fight are the deciding factors in a large scale conflict. China is #1 in these.
