@leporello56 - BTW - it's "Coloratura", music critic. This is what I do for a living. From a vocal stand point and the genre of this Operetta, she is almost flawless in her runs. It's considered one of the hardest aria's to do next to "Queen Of The Night" in Mozart's Magic Flute (but we'll not forget that Magic Flute is an OPERA, therefore Coloratura is combined with Dramatic Soprano. To call this SHIT shows me just how bad your ear is. Period. Plus, she puts a lovely spin on presentation

@breakaliciouskid786 It is not the same kaind of soprano, that's all. Every one has his own voice and there are as many soprano's style as sopranos. Kristin is what we call in french "soprano léger" , Damrau is coloratura but not "léger", as she has almost a lyric voice.

@pianomags Some "little" voices have difficulty projecting enough volume. Lily Pons was one such opera singer who had to compensate for her small size and lack of sheer volume. For her diminutive size, Kristin has fantastic projection. I am quite amazed by her talent and ability. As a lover of opera, I have a number of favorite singers, but Kristin is definitely making her way up my list!

I've seen this spritely young lady on a few talk shows and thought of her as very cute and elfin. But what a surprise to hear her beautiful operatic voice. This young woman has incredible talent.
