Numbers never lie. De La Hoya landed 122 punches of 581. Mayweather threw 487 and landed 207. 40.5% of Mayweather punches landed compared to Oscar's 21%. Two judges knew Mayweather won.Even the Associated Reuters had Mayweather leading the whole way. Just because u can throw more punches, its the ones that make contact that count. A controversy? I doubt it. Time for Oscar to hang the gloves? I believe so.

I want De La Hoya to win. De La Hoya is bigger than Mayweather, but Mayweather is faster. De La Hoya is stronger but Mayweather can get out of the way. De La Hoya can win if. He keeps his energy till the latter rounds and start hurting Mayweather. However Mayweather NEEDS to be dead tired by that time. A knock down for De La Hoya followed by a unanamous decision.

Look for DLH to "try" and pressure FM for the first 6 rounds or so, cutting off the ring, banging on the robes. But during that process FM "will" counter whatever DLH throws at him. DLH has NEVER been known for moving out of the way of a punch. DLH will take a punch to give a punch but that won't work to well against FM who has fast hands and fast feet and excellent upper body movement. FM by majority decision.
