Companies who adopt the "Green Trend" save more money for turning all the pollution into resources that can be useful for someone else (and sell it, obviously). The problem is inside the heads of square people who cannot conceive progress. @cmonutube Stronger is a vague term, in this instance it is likely that the text was referring to a weight to weight ratio; given such conditions its fairly obvious that wood, would be 'stronger' than steel. Other than that, no, not really, no.

Maybe even stronger than steel weight for weight.

I guess my comparison is only one way of looking at it: for the same volume of material, steel vastly exceeds wood for strength.

You don't need to refine or manufacture wood like steel. Sounds like they are trying to compare wood with iron ore.
