  • Thank you for this video, I'm making this tonight :) Do you think putting the crust in the oven for a few minutes before adding the meat mixture would keep it consistently crunchier? Thinking of trying it.

  • @JewelsyCakes I'd be afraid it would poof up too thickly...

  • @CookingAndCrafting Thank you!

  • YUMMM!

  • @MarshmallowKisses1 sure :)

  • which crust did you like better? pizza dough or the biscuits for the deep dish pizza?

  • @evilqcumber Two different evils, really, since I don't know that a standard pizza crust would hold up under all that meat.

  • I shall have to try this one. Looks yummy.

  • @dreamer72fem it is a yummy choice :)

  • Shouldn't have watched this at lunch time. This salad isn't going to do it for me. Must make this recipe tonight. Thanks so much for the time you put into these vids.

  • @greenerpastures1000 and thanks so much for watching!

  • Looks like another winner. I just might be forced to whip it up tomorrow.

I use the Pillsbury pizza crusts now and then for casseroles and meat pie dishes, and they work really well. I've found that partially pre-baking the crust keeps them crispier, especially in a dish that's juicy. This looks dry enough that it probably wouldn't matter.

  • @anmoose Next time I am going to do the browning ... but I have a weird feeling it will still possibly get a little soft... given that it is a deep dish pie, yanno?

  • That looks so yummy! I'm so hungry now.

    Thankee Miss Beth

    Pam

  • @WillowBranchDesigns thanks :)

  • thumbs up! hmmm...(forced me to comment :-)) it looks really delicious!

  • @NaturalVrouw hehe sorry :)

  • this is a must but for my family I will have to make a 9x11 version...hehe

  • @DawndeeDALLAS Everyone who has done it has really enjoyed it! I've been asked to repeat it

  • If you add some oil to your pan I think it would crisp up. Or maybe bake on a lower rack in the oven. Thats how I get my homemade crust crispy is lower placement.

  • @KissHope Thanks :)

  • Thanks so much Beth I made your spaghetti pie and it was so awesome.. I just had to show you how it turned out. I also linked your video and channel in the comments :)

  • @reneegilpin Glad you liked it!

  • I'm going to look for the Turkey pepperoni! Everything looks good, Yummy ☺

  • @luvingg It's interesting! Even though Scott questioned it, he didn't have anything bad to say about it!

  • Yum!!

  • @darlynn12 Totally! ;)

  • Yummy : ) Thanks for sharing.

  • @AZA417 Thanks :)

  • I've never tried the pizza crust in a tube. We love pizza but hate frozen and delivery is way over priced so this looks like a good option.

  • @jcrefasi1 I was going to home make the crust using Liz's recipe, but time always gets away from me. It was still good, regardless!

  • Looks really good I have to try this. I know my boys would love it

  • @Gardeninggirl1107 Oh yeah, boys & pizza = winner

  • Looks really yummy!!!

I have an explanation for the hot filling for you - it helps to prevent the bottom inside crust from being "doughy". It cooks better when the filling is hot.

(I'm just full of useless trivia!)

    Thanks for sharing this!

  • @j3wht ahh makes sense. Thanks!

  • im going to make pizza today...fr the 1st time ..:) wish me luck...the oven doesnt work well :((

  • @hw1986430 How did it come out? Did you enjoy it?

  • @wallznlala Thanks so much :) I hope they enjoy it!

  • My dad always laughed at me because I had to leave the room whenever my mom opened those dough tubes! He called it "Popn' Fresh Syndrome". LOL I still get a little wary about it. Thanks for the tip!

  • @pouncer28 Is it because they scared you? Or...?

  • @CookingAndCrafting Yeah I never knew when the darn thing was gonna pop!

  • Wow it came our really well! Nummy!

  • @ChaseShining it did! All in one tidy little pie pan :)

  • I bet that is very tasty with all the stuff in it! Great idea!

  • @wildheart5 It was. Next time I want to add a few more things that I like on a pie!

  • so so good. Pizza? Pasta? WINWIN :D But when you put it together...mmmm hahha

  • @MissPonderosa TYPO lol! I meant *pie. Also I wish we had those poppin pizza crusts in autralia! It looked so cool when you were spreading it to the edge...wish we had pillsburry :( Do you think it would've tasted better with beef?

Have a good time at work :D

  • @MissPonderosa Possibly better with the beef, for sure.

  • looks delish - not a bad ingredient in there, so i had reasonable expectations :)

  • you have your own laugh track

  • @snarkdetriomphe was it the TV again?

  • @CookingAndCrafting yes unless you have a studio audience we don't know about hehehehe

  • yummmm...

  • @y3rlo thanks :)

  • hey kid. i loved spaghetti in a pie sooooooo much i dont think this could top it, but lets see.

  • @snarkdetriomphe Yeah, mom loved that too. Will have to repeat it soon.

  • I love pizza I think I could eat it everyday going to make this...I grabbed the turkey pepperoni by mistake one time and I really liked it besides having the benifit of less grease...

  • @Carballoca Scott could too. But not when he was working for pizza places.

  • This looks really good. I'm going to have to try it.

  • @AshleyFD26 It was great. I have had requests for the repeats on the pies!

  • It's so pretty!! Hugs!

  • @imperceptibleme hehe thanks :)

  • @CookingAndCrafting Well, its good to have you back my friend!!!

  • ohhh yummm!! Hey i have made flat bread using that thin pizza dough.. what works to firm up tht bottom part you point out not being crispy.. what i do is line the pan with the dough and then pop it in the over for mmm about 5 to 10 mins to crisp the bottom and sides .. woorks like a charm :) hope this helps

  • @evilwoman24 Ahhh great idea!

  • ummmm the possibility of this idea; chicken alfredo ( minus the pasta) came to mind..... Thank You !!!!!!!!

  • @msscrz mmm if you like that idea, have you seen those huge honkin noodles that I stuffed with the chicken/alfredo sauce/corn? OMG go try that!
