This guy says OT law no longer lasts b/c of Jesus. Jesus himself said the laws of the Moses will last until the earth has passed in Matthew 5:17-18.

17"Think not that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. "

Regarding whether Christians must follow the Old Testament laws (such as those in Leviticus), Jesus says in Matthew 5:17-18 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke or a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."

I know there are some other NT scriptures that contradict this.

You say it makes sense that the only way God can allow us into Heaven is if He comes to Earth to pay the penalty that we are supposed to go through.

How does that make sense? If He is God, why couldn't He just forgive us outright? And why did he put the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in Eden in the first place? I find the whole story irrational and blatently made up.
