His fall was due to the fact that he wanted to take God's place. (Isaiah 14:12-14.) His reason for tempting man to fall was to get back at God for casting him out and stripping him of his position. There fore he would not be included in the "good" that God declared at the end of the creative week. Secondly, When we look at Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 we see that in the original lanuages the earth became desolate and empty and was originally created in a perfect created form.

@PaleHearse The Midrashic tales you are reffering to are not the sources the bible was formed from. Their origins have been suspect for a long time, and they are actually believed to have been written during the Medieval time period, much later than the original hebrew greek and arimaic texts the bible was translated from. I am familiar with the tales you are referring to. The original hebrew manuscripts were already completed and accepted before these tales were written.
If you are familiar with the tales I'm referring to then you know that they are a collection of both new and old.. some predate the assembly of the Pentateuch some were more recent. The story of Lilith predates the assembly of the old testament at the very least as it is the beginning of Genesis.. "He created them in his image both male and female". This gives rise to the story above because is states that by creating man he placed them above the angels and this angered Lucifer.

I am no Athiest, i am Agnostic and question stories that have been translated and revised. I am not basing anything on an assumption rather a formula that would make perfect sense to anyone who had any. If there is a God he is missing one or more of the three qualities the God of the gospels is said to possess.

The bible doesn't say everything that's happening, and I'm pretty sure that most of what's happening/happened or what is to come is left out've the bible. @azar24701 Well see now that inference would actually be contextually supported because of that passge in Ezekiel depicting the origin of sin in Lucifer (before given the title, Satan, or "Adversary"). I wouldn't necessarily say there's a war goign on between Satan and God however, as contextually there never was (read Job, Satan can't deliberately inflict man outside God's will without His permission), as the odds aren't exactly even haha.

@BarryGormley2010 Because pride, my friend, is a very foolish thing. Of the Seven Deadly Sins, Lucifer is the representation of the Sin Pride. Lucifer's pride was so swollen that it made him blind. He and the Angels were perfect creations, what need did God have for an imperfect being when they were God's originals? Thus his pride lead him into a battle which he could not have possibly won. In a sense, it is a lesson in humility.

though there are many valid points in all positions I think Its pointless to argue. The one thing I learned in my quest for answers, is that if I have a question about the bible or life even about God, I pray. I pray for him to show me in the way that I can understand. which he already knows how and if to reveal answers. If He doesnt he has his reasons. We are not to understand everyything.

This video is incorrect. The fall of Lucifer had nothing to do with man, because his fall took place before man was created. He felt that he deserved to be on God's throne. His sin was pride. He had already been cast out of heaven when He tempted Adam and Eve.

@uriel73 NO NOT WRONG. Satan's fall was prior to the creation of man or his knowledge of God's plan to create us. He knew nothing about God creating us when he fell. His fall was due to the fact that he wanted to take God's place. (Isaiah 14:12-14.) His reason for tempting man to fall was to get back at God for casting him out and stripping him of his position. And secondly God never asked the angels to pay homage to us. That is found nowhere in scripture.

@U91H3D No I am not. Lucifer and the angels were created in eternity past and acording to Job 38:7 were already created and were there when the recreative weak in Genesis 1:2 began. There fore he would not be included in the "good" that God declared at the end of the creative week. Secondly, When we look at Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 we see that in the original lanuages the earth became desolate and empty and was originally created in a perfect created form.

Revelation chapter 12:4 talks about how he went into heaven with some of the angels and God cast them out to the earth and Luke 10:18 Jesus says he beheld Satan fall from heaven like lightning. So he struck the earth like lighting and that is why the earth was desolate in Genesis 1:2. The fall of lucifer was first.

Read the Rabbinic Midrashic tales... the stories the bible was formed from. The video is correct by those stories. Again.. please do remember that the first 5 books of the Jewish bible and later re-addressed when making the "old testament", many of these stories were used and many more were discarded. These stories to be told in full,like the actual story of Genesis that includes Lilith.. being created by spiting god's creation in two..are not a part of the bible we read today.

Their origins have been suspect for a long time, and they are actually believed to have been written during the Medieval time period, much later than the original hebrew greek and arimaic texts the bible was translated from. I am familiar with the tales you are referring to. The original hebrew manuscripts were already completed and accepted before these tales were written.

If you are familiar with the tales I'm referring to then you know that they are a collection of both new and old.. some predate the assembly of the Pentateuch some were more recent. The story of Lilith predates the assembly of the old testament at the very least as it is the beginning of Genesis.. "He created them in his image both male and female". This gives rise to the story above because is states that by creating man he placed them above the angels and this angered Lucifer.

Have a look at what is called "Apocalypse of Moses". This is the specific texts from the first century AD (300 years before the assembly of the christian bible) and contains the references this story was based on.
Lots of very interesting fragments but it's important to caution folks that this, like all biblical stories, are assembled not from a single text but from fragments.

God could have stopped Lucifer from rebelling if He wanted to, He could have stopped Lucifer from taking a 3rd of heaven's angels, He could've prevented Satan from tempting Eve. God can do a lot of things but he puts a lot of our future into our own hands. I'm guessing that's how He works in heaven too.

A theist could therefor ebe agnostic in this correct context, believing in God but knowing His existence is unporvable. And a athiest therefore could be an agnostic for the same reason. @FreakShizzlez It's all how you prefer to look at things, does the word define the meaning or the meaning define the word? i say agnostic you say agnostic thiestic, either way my own personal beliefs in God do not make god real therefore God is unprovable thus far and i will continue to question his exsist so i can get answers for my own.

@FreakShizzlez True, i think this conversation got side tracked lol... i believe in a God, i don't believe he is proven, and i question the story given to us because it hardly makes sense. I think our goal in life is to find out the truth of our exsistance and it is only healthy to question and get feed back from others to explain our exsistance. Thanks for your thoughts :)

@FreakShizzlez Well to be fair, I don't think that we can say that such a battle is or isn't taking place. The bible doesn't say everything that's happening, and I'm pretty sure that most of what's happening/happened or what is to come is left out've the bible. Merely because, especially in this case, a celestial battle doesn't really concern us.

@BrawlPwnt Sorry, but not true. The real danger here people is a mindset like this, a desire to make assumptions and inferences that have no foothold or support in Scripture. This is a lot like what we are being told is "science" nowadays, but in reality it is really just subjective inferences and assumptions based on presuppositions.

@BrawlPwnt Inductive reasoning has no place in science, if what is being inferred can't be validated by the scientific method, and inductive reasoning has no place from a biblical stanpoint if what is being led on has no contextual support in Scripture.

@FreakShizzlez haha um actually it does say that, read revelations. Jesus even spoke of the enemy falling from the sky and it talks about how the angels of God fought against the devil and they lost which pissed them off now they are working to kill,steal and destroy God's People.

@azar24701 haha actually you're mistaken. In the timeline of the Book of Revelations that's an event that hasn't happened yet, but was prophesized to come. And also I belive you used a lot of personal elaboration on that description as well that not only has no contextual support in Revelations but anywhere in the Bible for that matter.

@FreakShizzlez well, wat we both can agree on that there is a battle going on as we speak btw good and evil on earth for human souls. So there can be no doubt that a war broke out in heaven just as there is a war still happening right now. It is common sense if you think about it. I may not no excatly what happened during that time but im sure by some degree the creation wanted to be the Creator so rebeling was first part of war since there is only God and the heavens Lucifier wanted to be God

@azar24701 Well see now that inference would actually be contextually supported because of that passge in Ezekiel depicting the origin of sin in Lucifer (before given the title, Satan, or "Adversary"). I wouldn't necessarily say there's a war goign on between Satan and God however, as contextually there never was (read Job, Satan can't deliberately inflict man outside God's will without His permission), as the odds aren't exactly even haha.

@FreakShizzlez well in my humble opinion i know it may not be fact about the heaven's in a war, but for the evil that is going on btw satan and humans and how it's hurting God to see us suffering i believe that maybe a war did break out from the beginning cuz of it. Now it may not be the kind of war we humans may think of but as for angels going against God it may be a different type of war, a war of wits and power. idk thats my opinion.

@FreakShizzlez Yes there is a war in heaven referenced in the bible , read Revelation 12:7-9, it explains Micheal fighting against the devil and his angels and then they didn't prevail and were cast out of Heaven.

@BarryGormley2010 I know this reply is late but...Maybe God aloud this war to occur for a reason...Just maybe God saw something in satin that wanted unlimited power over all..Thus God may have let satin think he had an upper hand, to not only teach heaven a lesson,but to bring out any angels with second thoughts out,and "cast down 2 birds with one stone".

@BarryGormley2010 Because pride, my friend, is a very foolish thing. Of the Seven Deadly Sins, Lucifer is the representation of the Sin Pride. Lucifer's pride was so swollen that it made him blind. He and the Angels were perfect creations, what need did God have for an imperfect being when they were God's originals? Thus his pride lead him into a battle which he could not have possibly won. In a sense, it is a lesson in humility.

all through the ages the devil has tried to dwart the plan of God...but even with afflictions against Job in the book of Job..his work only further falls in line with what God knew was gonna be the final result anyway...the only reason the devil exist at all is because of the love of God...because he gives each and every person on earth a choice. There will be another war in heaven..the Bible says so...but once again he will be cast down to earth

This makes no sense. The Angels are above us. The natural order is, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, Angels 9 Orders, Man 3 orders, animals, plants, minerals. Lucifer didn't rebel because he thought he is better than us. He know that the entire time.
