@labrawn it depends on what size you want to let each plant get to. That being said, tropical sun is about 11000 lumens per square foot. each 1000 watt bulb produces about 120000 lumens, so i would make it about 30-35 square feet. They will grow with much less, but personally i dont find the end product to be worth it. our whole purpose is to maximize photosynthesis, and light should NEVER be the limiting reactant
The white net just helps you manipulate branches to where they need to be and hold fat nugs so the branches dont snap...hey don I bought some humbolt mix. Switched from promix...i have flying ants in the soil. Not gnatts or termites big black winged ants...wtf?
@Guitarmalmsteen No it's not exactly a ScROG. It is just a trellis netting for holding the plants as the stretch through it. The nugs become heavy on top and want to fall over.
@Professorgreenthumb Check out the Eco1500 Elite pump, I hook it up t a standard 50' coiled hose and a water-wand spray nozzle.. Make sure you find a nice telescoping wand with a nice aerated spray setting. I have it timed out to 45 seconds per plant gives each plant a gallon every third day. Soon I will be experimenting with a drip system on one of my rows though. Check the future vids.
@Don612Juan ya man the water pump, hose, wand is the best way to water soil i find besides maybe Drip Feed but id rather water by hand,i like it lol looks like a very promising set up you got there!
@GreenTigerCA Not to mention jumping through the flaming hoops in the form of regulations provided by the city and state + zoning issues. It is more than just cash flow.
Well done looks great! Do all the tables move separately on wheels and how big is each table? Wondering how you do the watering and if its ebbaflow, really looking forward to seeing how you set it all up!?! More info on your rooms layout or a tour video would be great.
@ARTnSKIN Yea! All on wheels and able to move separately. Each tray is 4'x8'. I am currently experimenting with no run-off as it is the easiest way to stay compliant and it saves money. I may be looking in to a drip system. But who knows, I really enjoy feeding with a pump and water wand. Good aeration and I spend time with each plant.
@Don612Juan sick idea movable tables is a great way to grow no need for walking rows in between the tables. Always had automated watering next grow will be hand watered so that will be a first for me. Any tips for watering like that ?
@ARTnSKIN The room is 24x32 with 9 foot dropped ceiling, the ballasts are just above the ceiling chillin on some cable trays. With all 12 of our 4x8s in there it is roughly 16x24 so we have about 3 feet of space on all sides of the room . The lights are perfectly spaced so that there are two 1000 watts over each 4x8. There is a 1000 Watt bulb every 48". The light spread is awesome. A tour video will be had when it is clean enough :-P
Completely beautiful, honestly great work here. 90 plants, 3 ounces each works out to what 270 ounces? so 16 lbs.? Magical sir

curious on why lights are so high from plants?
AutoFlintering 7 months ago
@AutoFlintering They are 1000 watt bulbs. 4 feet of distance is preferred, especially when so many are used. The overlap of light is great.
