My laptop has 4gb ram and only has 2 slots, each slot has 2 gb ram, but i want to have 6gb ram, do they make ram sticks that are 4gb in one stick

@Destruction490 yes, you can get 4GB ram sticks and a 2GB one to make 6 GB. But if check your comp specs, not all computers especially older ones can handle a certain amount of ram. Most modern home use ones nowadays handles up to 8GB of ram, older ones only handles up to 4gb

I added 2GB of ram and games and videos still run slow on my computer. I didn't get an error message when I installed the ram. Any ideas on why my computers still slow? How do you check to see that the ram worked? I know nothing about computers and need help. Thanks.

ram doesnt gives u a bit more speed but its the Mhz that counts... i have 1.8Qhz and 895mb ram and older games go great

It's probably your processor, you can have a lot of ram, but you won't be able to get the best of it IF you have a slow processor.

Yeah, mostly it isn't really about games but it just speeds up opening programs and things like that. Not really much difference with videogames. Sometimes however it's very useful for gaming.

well a laptop is already a bad choice if you wanna game there grafics cards aren't going to give you a good picture and they will lag quite a bit

u mean the easiest upgrade on the laptop also if ur adding 4GB u should install a 64bit OS or else windows will just see only 3.25GBs
