  • I like Matt Taibbi but I don't see the point of this interview, its predictable that he is going to condemn Mc Cain every time.

  • As far as I'm concerned, it's my two favourite people in one room. I'm happy. Furthermore, I think whatever smugness he may have he's earned.

  • i dont see the smugness dude

  • He's allowed to be cynical, given the amount lies, sound bites, and general horseshit he has to wade through on a daily basis.

  • McCain is getting a free ride right now with the media until the Democratic race is settled. There is supposed to be a presidential debate in New Orleans this September so let's see how McCain escapes the Hagee / Hurricane Katrina issue that has not really been highlighted like the Rev. Wright matter

  • McCain rightfully got his ass handed to him.

  • McCain -- Like HITLER

Demonstrates a remarkable duplicity-indeed, multiplicity would be a better word

With enormous histrionic intuition he can shape his behavior to changing situations in the public

He determines even ideological questions by their effect upon the voters

His only desire: To be elected thereby reeling in the power and self assuredness of being "elected" President

  • Not sure if he's "Like Hitler". Maybe it depends what stage Hitler.

The only real similarities I see are that they were both in war (both actual war heroes at some point in their careers) and both are/were hungry for more war(McCain's statement, perhaps taken out of context, about US citizens "Not caring if they're there for 100 years". Hyperbole? Maybe. But risky). Not similar in convictions.Hitler believed his psychotic delusions, McCain=flip flop express.

    Neither should be in power.

  • I have to disagree about the Language thing. French and English are the official languages of Canada, but that doesn't stop canadian politicians from pandering to the Chinese and people from other countries. A country has to have a official working language (or several) but its not really practical to have no official language. Personally I say lets go for English and Flemish, its just a cool language.

  • i like matt taibbi better on realtime... on olberman he seemed like he was on the leash.. he is truly one of the best reporters we have

  • The Great Derangement continues, full steam ahead!

  • I really enjoy Matt's commentary. Thanks VCB!
