this is very interesting... I might not have anybody read this, but just for those who do, i'm gonna try to help you guys out. Dave use to do this band called "laidout" with his friend kieth and some other people whom he dosn't include in his music production anymore. this is just my asumption, but in laidout, his friend Tom use to do the vocals(not him), so this video might have been done as a little 'mockage' toward tom not helping out with music anymore/leaving "the band". i hope this helped.

I dont think thid video has anything to do with laidout, I think dave just thought of a good idea to makea video series of him getting kidnapped and used his friends as actors.
