Wtf it is NOT socially acceptable to urinate on the side of the road, you must be confusing that with CHINA. Japan is one of the most cleanest countries in the world, they would rarely urinate on the side of the road. There might be a few, but it is not at all common, unless some drunk guy really had to go.
