The bottom line is that we must build china or they will start ww III. Everyday millions of their people are dying of starvation. When rats get hungry and there is no food around to eat then rats go outside their area to look for food. If we don't help China the Chinese will go out and find food by evading countries that have food.
@forfaka It's always disapointing to watch videos like this, which comes close to telling the WHOLE truth, but fall just a little short. If you don't mention the Jew, your message isn't true. The bankster - bernenke, paulson, greenspan The warmonger - crystal, pearl, wolfwitz. China doesn't own America; Jews do. They've owned U.S. since 1913 I recommend the following youtube video ---- CRIMINAL ROTHCHILDS ---
Unless Americans take back power from the Corporations governing them the road to decline begun by Ronald Reagan thirty years ago when he began redistributing wealth from the middle class to the rich, will continue.
@Cassandrea007 No they are not...it's the corporate lobbyists who run the repub party and some dems. The wealthiest and their transnational corporations trying to buy elections. Thanks to Obama's tax cuts 95% of Americans are paying the lowest taxes since 1959.Only Gov. can regulate ins comp. and the Banksters. Bush signed TARP in and bailed out the banks but since Obama took over tax payers made so far a $25 million profit from this bailout. Keep the crazies out. Vote democratic
I'm with coytesahowling. We are losing our democracy when corporations or individual billionaires can buy not only political ads but whole news organizations (e.g. Fox News) in order to inundate the viewing public with irriational, but highly emotionally charged appeals to fear, greed or other negative emotions that cause people to react without thinking. Psycologically speaking, this is a blatant appeal to mob mentality by the minority elite for the purposes of controlling the majority's vote.
The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. ”
Franklin D. Roosevelt, "Message from the President of the United States Transmitting Recommendations Relative to the Strengthening and Enforcement of Anti-trust Laws"
Was this video produced by the DNC or CAP? It certainly takes the DNC's talking points and puts them in the video, while completely ignoring the debate here.
The real issue is government control vs individual freedom. Simply saying those guys drove the car in the ditch and want the keys back isn't enough to convince Americans that an agenda of government control and intervention is the best path forward.
@WTF9MTF9 Economic freedoms are stripped away everyday. When the government creates additional regulations or taxes (and therefore costs) for any particular industry, I end up paying for that. Since I have less money, due to these additional costs, I have less freedom because I no longer choose where to spend my money. One example is cash for clunkers. By buying up so called "clunkers" the government has artificially reduced the supply of used cars and therefore the price will rise.
@dbd8915 so less money for your personal spending equals less freedom for everyone? I think the type of government you want is a fairy tale one where you are the king of the world.
@marzilyas To define my statement as only applying to me is misleading and false. The burden government creates and imposes on society is placed on the shoulders of nearly all Americans. If a law or regulation imposes a cost, everyone one is affected, not just me (including you). When that happens we are having a choice made for us by the government, that we otherwise might not had made. I am simply saying we should be minimizing this burden and not adding to it.
@dbd8915 We are the government and have a say through elections. If corporations continue to buy elections they will turn this into a Plutocracy. The only entity big enough to stop a corporate take over is our representative government. The only agenda the GOP has is power and money. Deregulation and $.60/hr jobs. It's the 2 Santa Claus tactic. Spend like drunken sailors while in power then bitch about the debt when out of power. They voted for outsourcing and against unemployment comp.
@chrisjohnson800, i think you're right re: copyright violation. whoever put this up is going to be in serious trouble once the adults find out about it. oops.
@progone, I hope you're referring to the original CAGW ad about debt, not this stunt.
@CampusProgressAction, I don't mean to tell you how to do your jobs, but did you check with the lawyers before you posted a blatant knock-off of a professional commercial? This literally has the same video AND same audio. You don't have a leg to stand on.
Wasn't it the Dems who bought support from insurance industry for Obamacare and receive the bulk of donations from Wall Street...both in exchange for legislative goodies and loopholes, of course. Hard to say either are good for America and taxpayers when both industries supported, and paid, for their passage. Confucius say, "facts are stubborn things."
Yeah, @everysongisours, and the shocking (or shoking as you say it) truth is that our nation has taken out unprecedentedly foolish amounts of debt. Only in politics does wasteful spending get confused as progress. The most "progressive" thing to do would be to STOP GOVERNMENT SPENDING.
wow, the original Citizens Against Government Waste commercial is awesome! This redone version with Democratic talking points...boooring. seriously, do those come straight from the DNC? CAP staff, how do you even pretend you're anything other than a wing of the Democratic Party?? What are you claiming here? That the "corporate agenda" is to prevent Congress from spending insane amounts of money and passing the tab onto our children? Bad form, CAP. You look like partisan hacks.
china has invested in more 'stimulus' than the U.s has. is that how they became so successful? perhaps the argument in the original ad is pure BS. but you go on listening to your corporate overlords. i'm sure thay have your best interests at heart.
haha are you for real? this is probably the best ad from this campaign cycle and you try to rehash it with these boring Democratic talking points? Almost $14 trillion. That's our national debt right now. Do you have anything substantive to say about this, or are you just going to parrot back the Party's talking points?
go take an econ class and tell me when you're ready to debate with the big boys about tough subjects like national debt, cause right now, you're the one with nothing substantive to say except talking points like "omg national debt".
Oh yeah, and one more thing. The original ad is incredibly offensive, racist, and ironically hypocritical. I like how it's assumed Chinese government will survive after the United States falls, due to government 'taking over business'.
Do you know the state of China's government right now?
