  • holy shit.

    this beat

  • Sampled from Don't let me down by phoebe snow

  • And you know this, man!

  • good and humble yeah im talking about a rapper

  • I locked down her heart and cardiac arrest. Too Sick

  • lupe in the top 5 rappers out right now, maybe top 3. lasers does not show his best work. this, coulda been, theme music to drive by, knockin at the door.. some of his best lyrical work is on his tapes

  • @BIBmusic when it comes to skill lupe is #1 i rather hear biggie etc but honestly lupe is just sick!!

  • Much love to Kanye for the production. Just an ill beat.

  • dis a kanye sounding beat

  • @DayCallMeQuad It IS a Kanye Beat. xD

  • @SegaHamiltonZone aw das wassup

  • holy moly

  • this song is one of his tight hits....with tht chorus makes more better....LUPE

  • kanye is shit.... thats why he sells better than Lupe. Kanye is concerned with commercial shit. Lupe is concerned with writing about social issues and things that matter and make you THINK. Too bad people nowadays lost that ablility.

  • @JustREALrap agreed but u cant deny it tho, Kanye can make a good beat

  • @bballer4life24 Your right, Kanye does make good beats. He also has a good ear for talent. He backs the right people, but his subject matter is nothin' special.

  • @JustREALrap agreed

  • @JustREALrap lol kayne got talent in rap befor 808 heart breaks then he became a fake ass nigga kayne was a rapper with a message then his ego got him

  • @JustREALrap No kanye can be lyrical even some of his popular songs have substance its just that most of the popular songs dont have substance. but kanyes a beast rapper wen he want 2.

  • @JustREALrap EHH, Kanye made this beat. (Which is fire!) Kanye is more of an artistic rapper, sucess just follows him he doesnt look for it. Lupe is less concerned with the art and more about social issues and things. Which is fine but it don't mean Kanye is shit. DUMASS.

  • DAMN IT!! lupe beat me to beat by 3 yrs...fuck...one of kanyes earliest unused beats

  • @youenvy there is one

  • the sounds a bit rough on my ipod...do you know what i mean?

  • i used to bass this song before

    great song

  • @12342account hey man could u tell me what's sample on this joint?

  • lupe fiasco be killen em

  • Is there a CDQ? hahah

I love this song but it sounds pretty shotty.

  • -great song-- damn this be a hot as instrumental too bad none are out there

  • this beat is hottt

  • This is great music. How many rappers nowadays raps about relationships and not about how big a ho's butt is. The lyrical content in this song is great

  • this song is so hot. lupe's words with kanye's beats could possibly be all i ever need in life.

  • great song.

  • what we need is a link to the instrumental!:D

  • Lupe is to music wut air is to us

  • cheeea lupe!

  • "enough ice to condition the air" .. just got that line. i'm slow, i know.. blonde

  • @aBlondechickk i dont get it explain please

  • @MrBballchamp11 an air conditioner makes things cooler, so he's got enough ice to cool the air. also ice can refer to jewelry and diamonds...meaning he's very rich.

  • wut sample iz this?

  • Man Lupe & 3000! GAME OVER!

  • how dare u compare asher roth to lupe asher has nothin on lupe lyrical skill u obviously suckin ashers dick!! kid cudi, lupe fiasco, b.o.b asher is wack thats my opinion

  • lupe and asher have a some what similar style. yes... part of why they're part of The All City Chess Club

  • Yeah Just BUY the music... cause yall a bunch of fake fans buying ANYTHING but music ... yeah ya'll buy LEVIS......... revolution? LAMES !!! hahaha

  • This stuff is amazing when you read the lyrics while listening to it.... like WOW.

  • this is my favorite rapper he is such an intellectual being on some real yo. no one can paint vivid pictures lyrically like this man right here. cant wait for L.A.S.E.R.S bought to cop it quick

  • chsh chsh

  • YOUNG UPCOMMING RAPPER CHECK OUT MY PAGE THX FOR THE LOVE-T-GoTTi

  • i dont think kanye west produced this. this beat was first used by joe budden and stack bundles and the the track title is nobody loves me. dont believe me look it up

  • @dcdatdudeontherise i dont know for sure either or nothin but everytime ive seen it says ye did it but also didnt this come out in the CRS days?

  • CRS days?

  • @dcdatdudeontherise Child Rebel Soldier

Pharreall lupe and kanye formed that group back in like 2000 something, back when ye was recording cant tell me nothing, they did a couple of songs, Us placers was pretty good

They were supposed to do some more but i aint heard nothin bout it for a while

  • oh ok i get you

  • what's the song were he's talking bout how it's hard for the 2nd verse to compete with the first

  • its called mean vicious

  • What album?

  • kanye west produced this.... i think he did a nice job

  • really fuck jay z

  • he WAS, these days..no...and I'ma huge fan of both

  • 1,2,3,for kick it goes the birds and the bees and the flowers and trees the moon up above and thats call love (Incomplete)

  • People needa know more about Lupe! He a damn beast. He's keeping it real with his songs

  • hands down... sickest in the business!

  • Did this guys really just compare Lupe Fiasco to Asher Roth?...that shit just wrong man....Asher Roth cant sharpen this mans pencil

  • nice, i like that haha.

  • omg that was the craziest own i ever heard "Asher Roth cant sharpen this mans pencil", u right tho asher isnt bad but c'mon its Lupe.

  • ha very well put

  • who the fuck said dat? I'LL KILL HIM!!! no one amounts to even lupes shit

  • @mick067 naw man i think you got that all wrong...lupe is all the way in the game>>>on the other hand..asher he cool and all but he not in the game like that...

  • @mick067 ahahahahaha lupe is so much bettter. its a different world.

  • @mick067 Asher is a sick emcee

  • @mick067 Someone hasn't listened to the songs Asher isn't messing around on.

  • @spreadincouties seared foie gras with quince and cranberry really does have songs that come slightly compare with lupe. both are two of my favorites though so i totally get what you're saying.

  • @spreadincouties And I wouldn't because I don't waste my time on record label pop garbage. This new "rap" is all for suburban teenagers who think they know hip-hop...But never heard Illmatic, Legal Drug Money, Doggystyle, or Enter the Wu, never bought an actual CD, and don't listen to lyrics unless the beat is polished enough for girls to dance to.

  • @punkrocker081 wuts wrong wit u.....??

  • @sins7x what's wrong with your grammer?

  • @punkrocker081 nothing at all, i just dont feel a reason to be formal.

  • @punkrocker081 nothing at all, i just don't feel a reason to be formal.

  • @sins7x but you do now? n what d'you mean what's wrong with me? i dont see why you'd single me out in particular and say that

  • @punkrocker081 I wasn't tryin to dis u...much, but your comment was blasphemous. Lupe and Asher....similar.....really?? In what way. Sometimes (and i can't stress that sometimes enough) they have a similar flow to their lyrics, but the content, metaphors, delivery, and depth of their lyrics are just miles apart.

  • @sins7x haha that's why i said theyre similar, cause they have a similar flow goin on, i aint listened to much by lupe tbh but from what i have listened to their flow's just been similar enough for me to make that assumption

  • @punkrocker081 In the hip-hop culture, the word "flow" refers to the mood, tone, and speed of the song. It also relates to how an artist delivers his or her punch lines. In that sense....they are similar on only a few tracks, but not enough to make the comparison. I know that u havnt heard much of Lupe, so comparison was correct to u, but his fans can be a lil harsh over the smallest of misunderstandings

  • @sins7x haha i know what you mean by flow, im not a complete noob to the "hip-hop culture" :L but yeahh fairplay good for his fans, i mean if they wanna get harsh they can cus i know ill pwn them :P

  • Hes so under-rated because he doesn't produce as many albums as the better paid rappers, aka Jay-Z, Kanye

  • I love that he is hot, one of the greatest rappers in the game right now, but he ain't telling me that in every song that he does. I mean, I already think that he is one of the best in the game, so I don't need him reminding me of that in every song like so many other rappers do. That is one of the things that I really like about Lupe!

  • @jarbon5 dude is mad humble.

  • @sins7x That's what I love about him. They don't make artists like him anymore. Sad thing, too:(

  • @jarbon5 he tells u he is great in every single song,he just doesnt make it explicit. He's not like YOOO DAWG IM SO HOT,he just make good musik, and thats what makes him great, not self claims

  • @pupo123456 So true:)

  • @jarbon5

    real shit.

  • Its not even close in my mind who the best rapper is right now. Lupe by far.

  • Hurt Me Soul is still my favorite track. that's what got me hooked on lupe's music. he really is the most underrated artist of all time. best kept secret.

  • him and nas

  • true. but i wouldn't exactly call nas a secret. underrated, heyall yeah.

  • word is boooooond

  • Comment removed

  • i been bumping this for months never gets 0ld good vibe good flow good track shits d0pe

  • what the track where it goes if somebody ever loved me????????

  • i think it's a beatles sample.......

it's called "don't let me down"

you wanna hear good music, you can't go wrong with the beatles.

lupe greatest rapper since BIG, personal opinion.

    still waiting on L.A.S.E.R.S!!!!

  • this beat right here reminds me of freeways "what we do" but lupe killed it as usual.

  • Kanye and lupe are Poppin........Kepp the focus on this Song because it hott..

    .ON FIRE

  • Thats why I like older women

    ha!

  • true that

  • And you know this already

  • Lupe maynee!!!!!

  • sick beat, haven't been up on Lupe in quite a while.. but he's still got it, no surprise there

  • the beat is ridiculous.

    no lie.

  • Lupe and Kanye make beautiful music

  • tight song

  • usually people point out the fact that kanye produced this

  • Lupe > Kanye, they can point out that Kanye produced it but Lupe is still better lyrically and hasn't sold out to audio tuning and making a song with lil wayne...

  • the only time lupe fiasco joined with lil wayne was forever remix and arms race remix (that i no of) and lil wayne RUINED those songs. but lupe did his part. everyone here check out arms race anyway tho

  • I think in arms race they weren't in the same studio, they just asked all those rappers for a verse and they sent it in and made the song, arms race remix was legit but the funny thing was everyone on the song said they didn't even know what the song was about except lupe lol

  • he has made a song with wayne and kanye was on the track to it's called "arms race"

  • I doubt they made that song together, because if you listen to that song Lupe is the only person who knows what the song is about, Kanye talks about how he wants to be number 1, and wanye talks about how cool and awesome he is..., I think whoever put the remix together asked artists for their verses then put it together. I highly doubt they were in the same studio.

  • You better watch out, or he'll have a mother fucking orgy in your fish tank.

  • ofcourse some fuckin skater kid calls kanye a gayfish, bet you dont know shit about hip hop.

  • its fishdicks by the way lol but yea he is a gay fish

  • such a good song..

  • yeah that dude mad lyrical when he serious i make it rain like storm in a porno flick lol i like that song he made whats going on he speaks the truth. if i said i like listening to plies and if you believe me that mean you like listening to lies and that losing control song thats one of my favorite beats by the way add me home boy

  • MisterTWol what you know about that Charles Hamilton? dude mad sick even doe hes not that lyrical but he got a way with words you heard of asher roth

  • Lemme go check my library...I have 15.3 hours of Charles.

Eh, he's lyrically when he's serious, like on The Pink Lavalamp...he just has a lazy laidback kind of Curren$y-ish flow.

As for Asher Roth, hell yeah. Dude's cool. He might be one of the first artist whose album I actually get instead of download.

  • yah charles got a great work ethic and a lot of his stuff sounds good, but he needs to perfect some songs and make a album . Asher roth 4/20 album

  • hey you guys are on point with charles and asher. but check out a guy named ''blu''. he is nice. he and exile make some good music.

  • yah the below the heavens album was nice, but some of the stuff hes putting out now is too R&B

  • Blu is nasty!!! I mean he is sick and check ot Wale. He is great!

  • i like!

  • i think the flobots are the best in hip-hop. also, does anyone know who the girl singing in the backround is?

  • lol THE FLOBOTS??? You should be restricted from debating about hip hop from now on until the end of time.

  • theyre good...

  • Flobots?!?! They can spit but god damn not the greatest.

  • <__< Give me your username.

    NAO!

  • hahaha the flobots the BEST in hip hop??? hahahahhahaha

  • u guys need to listen to failure the whole song by lupe the part where he talks about sears tower and him stackin his money murders anything wayne ever even thought about doing

"i stack my paper and throw off my cents this is top floor better look out below pennies from heaven is the same as a semi from the second and i reign/rain (double meaning u dont see wayne doing that do u) supreme turn yo umbrellas upside down did u even catch the change(another one) in theme"

  • I know huh?

    'Cause we're the sh*t.

Go listen to Nas - Be a Nigger Too

  • Why do you guys always feel like if you like Lupe you have to hate Wayne?

Come on now. I can honestly say that both of them are in my top 10. I just like them for different reasons. Both of them are good in their own categories.

My favorite rappers are Lupe, Nas, Wayne, Kanye, Jay-Z, Chamillionaire, TI, Drake, Charles Hamilton and some others.

You gotta have variety. Hip-Hop isn't an easily defined thing so stop actin' like one person can represent it accurately.

  • well true hiphop got stuck up by gunpoint and took into the background while wayne, soulja boy young jeezy florida and the rest of the garbage i hear on the radio ran into the spotlight

  • There is no garbage on the radio...it's all perspective.. More educated people want to be stimulated mentally while the majority of the people just want to dance and hear nice beats.

    Glad I'm not average..

And why lump Wayne with SB and Flo Rida?

    He isn't necessarily garbage. That's a little....harsh.

I agree with you on Flo Rida though.

SB isn't Hip-Hop so I won't regard him as such. He's.......some weird pop, dance, "hipster" blend. He's good in what he does which is make dance songs.

  • yeah i guess ur right

  • i think we're twins.

or the ppl who raised us are.

  • That's not a bad list at all

  • Because Wayne is the self proclaim greatest rapper alive, when he sold out and is killing hip hop with his garbage music. He has some good songs, but most of which dumb down America, and lollipop should be burned and never played ever again, it's a disgrace to hip hop and rap.

  • damn well said

  • said perfectly

  • the his the hers the mams the sirs & the shes.....woooo lupe is the shit., u hear him..."no im not finished"

  • the best

  • i love this songg. lupe's amazing

  • daaaaaaaayyyyymmn this track is fyyyyaaaaa!!! The beat is nuts!!!! lupe smashes it once again!!! :):):):):):):):)

  • Did alchemist sample this on "Hold U Down"?

  • no not even close

  • kanye beat hot

  • stop complaining iff you want cd quality then buy the cd and btw its quality not qualy.

  • shit qualy...every version is recorded to loud... wanna have it in CD qualy :(

  • dopee sonqq.

  • sweet song

  • everyones a hip hop know it all these days, that or your all studying to become rap lectures, teachers, talk about boooooooooooooooooooriiiiiiiiing

  • No. Comparing Lupe Fiasco and Lil Wayne is like comparing God to a pebble..You just can't its wack.

  • You cant its not even a close battle lil wayne is wack **

    that is what i ment

  • Pebble has a better chance against God. Than wayne against Lupe.

  • beautiful music. the flow is just right on

  • "Nobody Ever Gave Me Love!"..."And If Somebody Ever Loved..."

    LOVE

    LOVE

    LOVE

    LOVE

  • wordplay? Rap? Lines? Metaphors?

    Hip-hop ain't about that.

Hip-hop has a message i know alot of you rapper fuck up and call hip-hop "rap" but ya'll need to stop that.

    Ya'll calling a "nigga" a "nigger".

  • finally someone listens to me joe!!!

  • is it too soon to know where i can get da Mp3?

  • I AGREE WITH THEAceOFNY I DONT NOE HOW PEOPLE CAN COMPARE LUPE FIASCO TO LIL WAYNE THATS LIKE COMPARING JAY-Z TO WIERD AL LIKE IDK WHO CAME UP WITH THIS BUT SOMTHING IS RONG WITH U IF U THINK LIL WAYNE CAN EVEN COME CLOSE TO LUPES LEVEL.PLEASE....

  • this song is amazing, i need to get a list of of lupe's unreleased tracks, every single one is great

  • where can i find the instrumental

  • man lupe is sooo underated

  • I second that motion. He definetly is, cats don't realize that his flow and wordplay is on the calibar of common and way above wayne

  • Lupe and Lil Wayne are both good rappers..

but lupe's lyrics are just sooo dope.

and id rather listen to something thats NOT

talking about gangsta's chasin hoes.. yafeel?

    (= not hatin thoughh. LoveLyrics&Lupe.
