I like how the cue ball by-passes the side pocket but I believe its a little risky of a shot. I agre with lakunas23 thoughts and methods. Nice shot though!

Good God - never do that in a match. If the ball is straight shoot it harder and below center, so it is accurate even on worn tables. Curve or a masse shot is used to swerve around balls. I compete.

Wow there are a lot of idiot's on here. Thanks for the tip; I had never even though of this shot and I play almost everyday. Good video's keep em comin.

With a little practice the curve shot can be quite effective for when an unwanted ball is partially blocking the cue ball from a straight line path to the object ball.

Obviously, the closer the object ball is to the pocket the more leeway there is in making contact with the object ball in the "perfect" spot. So first practice with the object ball a couple inches from the pocket.

lower R or L english to the same side you want to curve towards. Give yourself room to pass around the odd ball.
