Fassbender is a lovely Rochester, a bit young, but so was Toby. Liked the latter's so much I named my beloved long red haired corgi after him! Can't compare, they are both bewitching in their own unique ways. Mia is a marvel.
Haha, I'm so ashamed, most of it was the official editing from the trailers and "making of" stuff. I did do some editing, but not much. :) Thank you so much for the comment.
I live in California and the movie was first released in March 2011. I just saw it last week at a second-run movie theater. The movie was released in the U.S.A first so for those of you who live in other countries, it will take a little while for it to be released at your local theaters. It's worth the wait. You can see how good Fassbender was in Jane Eyre 2011 by reading movie reviews online.
Jane Eyre 2011 is a very good movie. I've seen it and love it! The actor who plays Rochester in this version is the best among actors who have played the role.
I haven't seen it yet (and I'm so mad) but when I watched the trailer, I thought that Fassbender was a good choice for Rochester. Sorry all you Toby Stephens fans but I think Michael Fassbender will be the best Rochestor for me. :)
@TheAshenQueen5139 I really liked Fassbender alot (Except where's the english accent, it happened in England not America) but am still partial to Dalton plus I liked Zelah clarke's (Even though she was older than this actress) portrayl of Jane better, it was more spirited. I will buy this copy but only this and the BBC 1983 I believe are watchable & enjoyable.
that's probably why I couldn't find it. But when I watched all the "special" the making of videos, the one for the music said that it was available on the iTunes Store sometime in March. Grrrr!! So I had to go listen to it all on Youtube. It is hauntingly beautiful. :)
Okay, I have a question about something I have really been curious about. When Rochester takes Jane and everyone else at the wedding up to see Bertha, does he say, "then judge me, priest of the gospel and man of the law . . ." I'm sorry but that is my favorite line of the entire book!!
@TheAshenQueen5139 To be honest Im not sure lol I've saw the movie back in march which was a few months ago. I can tell you about the scenes, if there was one in particular that you liked or something.
The scene you asked did happen, but im not sure if it was those exact lines.
Ok, no worries then. Oh, what's with the scene when Rochester comes inside from the snow and he and Jane start kissing, I can't seem to remember that scene, at all. :)
@TheAshenQueen5139 thats a figment of her imagination. shes at the moors after she runs away from him. She's dreams about him and imagines kissing him.
Charlotte Bronte is amazing, even though the film was not incredible, Jane Eyre is amazing anyway.

I started watching the 1983 version and it was pretty good. I just can't stand the 2006 version. :) thank you for the comment.

i prefer classical music to modern (timbaland). thank you for this! :-)

@annwags
Yeah, classical music seems to be just more "Jane Eyre" for me. Thanks for the comment. :)

Pity the cd is an import, as yet, in the USA. The music is lovely and it fits the movie. :)
