  • @p597jimvel Thanks so much! ~ Rory :0)

  • Hi. What kind of power does your food processor have? Is it specially powerful or just normal? I dont want to buy a food processor for the sake of mainly making banana ice cream and then not be able to even make it. :( I´d appreciate an aswer! Thanks.

  • @thatfruitarianchick Hey Fruitarian Chick! I'm using a $30 Black & Decker food processor to make this banana ice cream. It's an eight cup sized model. I've had the same processor since I started getting into raw foods and it's still goin' strong! Best wishes ~ Rory :0)

  • can i do it with a mixer of a spoon

  • Awesome thank you for sharing.. frozen bananas shredded on a cheese grater work well too, just be careful of your fingers!

  • I'm on a diet, thank you -__-

I can finaly find something to preplace my icecream love :)

  • i really have to try this!! is there any other fruit that if we blend it frozen will turn into cream?? anyway, congratulations for you new self! you are an inspiration for everyone :D

  • He looks like Tobias from Arrested Development

  • This is how I do it too! gonna have to try the chocolate fudge sauce though...ps why do u prepare food in a bedroom a lot..lol :P

  • @aRawLifestyle Haha! This is when I was in CT helping my family out with their raw food adventures. My nephews and daughter we're doing home school in the kitchen area, so our bedroom became the studio kitchen! lol Good times! :0)

  • omg those poor bananas, this outrage should be stopped, looks delicious though.

  • if i dont have a food processor can i use a blender?

  • @WestCoastIrk If it's a high-power blender such as a vitamix or blendtek, you can. But if it's a standard blender, under 1hp, than banana blending like this, would kill it. I've killed a few blenders in my raw adventures, and it's no fun. lol

  • @WestCoastIrk I spent 40 dollars on a black and decker cyclone at k-mart. i make banana/strawberry ice cream in it all the time. you just pulse and take the lid off and push the fruit down until it moves, then blend for about 5-10 seconds. use 1-3 bananas at a time. it takes about 2-5 minutes. it is no different than a vitamix where you have to push the fruit down while you blend. just don't stick a spoon in the blender while it is on...duh.

  • @WestCoastIrk

I just made banana icecream with a 900watt "professional ninja blender" that i got at walmart for ninety bucks. It turned out great. I think this blender is designed to crush ice (i chopped my bananas into little slices before freezing, as I am also wary of blender burnout).

  • @glatterz Thankyou!

  • can you do this with a blender?

  • It looks freaking good! LOL

I am so going to have to try this recipe! :)

    Thanks Rory!!

  • You know what's REALLY good.,.. make a batch of raw vegan brownies using the date/walnut recipe, press that on the bottom of a brownie pan. THEN pour the banana icecream mixture over it, freeze it, and you have SIIICK raw vegan icecream cake :-D

  • @CuddlyPythons Excellent idea my friend! It turns out that we have a similar project in the works, just waiting on a couple of the ingredients! Muahahahaha! Rock on! ~ Rory :0)

  • i love u!! :)

  • @mizG1nonly Much love to you! ~ Rory :0)

  • @xmantidx - *melts* lol

  • I♥ICECREAMICECREAM♥I

  • can you put it in the freezer and eat later?

  • @versatilechicken It is possible to do that, but it get's pretty solid. One trick is to add a lil' coconut oil or butter when you're blending the mix, the fat helps it to be a lil' more pliable when frozen again. :0)

  • ur awsume man! :D

  • @oogp Thank you!! ~ Rory :0)

  • can you show how to make banana ice cream without bananas. I'm too lazy to go to the store. :/

  • A ++++

You're my hero! Can't wait to try this

  • @mariaperiwinkle Thanks so much!! Enjoy ~ Rory :0)

  • I tried this with frozen sugar-free pudding. SO GOOD.

  • my god lol this looks so good lol

  • Thanks so much! Didn´t realize you could make icecream with a food processor!!

  • "And now let's just cut them up in...Ugh!! OH MY GOD I CUT OFF MY FINGER!! IT'S BLOOD ICE CREAM!!!! Uhm, sorry. Okey, let's fire up the mixer andOHMYGOD!!!!! MY HAND WAS INSIDE!!!! IT'S COMING OFF!!!!! SO MUCH BLOOD!!!!!

  • @hellspawnds ARE YOU SERIOUS///no offense but how the hell did you pull that off?

  • be better with buttermilk in there

  • YUMMMMMMM!!!

  • Awesome man..can't wait to try it. Your smile makes my day brighter!

  • frozen banana puree .. yum

  • Looks fantastic! I can't wait to try it. Thanks, Rory.

  • It's easy to peel a frozen banana.

Just cut the banana in half crosswise, cut the tips off , make a slice down the middle of each half (just the peel) - then peel SIDEWAYS. It comes off nice and neat.

No plastic bags and no brown bananas. Stays fresher this way too.

  • That looks delicious, who said the raw food diet is boring.

  • @MyLaura999 As my history teacher said, you are bored because you are boring.

  • That frozen bananna peel comment was funny. First time I froze them, I threw them in a ziplock w/ peels. Next day I hear you're supposed to have them peeled. What a pain. I was scraping the peel off under warm running water. lol. Getting me a processor next month. Wasn't sure how much I'd use it, till I saw this vid. Thanks!

  • You just convinced me to buy a food processor

  • hahaha! me too :o)

  • Yea, isn't banana ice cream great! I also like it topped with a date sauce. I gotta watch the dates though! I buy only what I need that day. It is the only food I have a tendency to over eat. I'm a slave to them, not a good thing to be! Guess a date addiction isn't the worst, I should consider myself fortunate. Figs are a close second. Thankfully their season is rather short! Love your energy! Your weight loss must be liberating. I know I feel so much better lighter. Keep them coming!

  • Well

Here's somethong else you're gonna have me trying!

    LOL

    Looks great, Rory

  • omg that looks amazing!! :D. I'm cheap, can I use a blender? :P

  • hey I have a processer when ya coming

over to make me some ! love to try that

sauce that you were spooning on forever!

  • Incredible, thank you!

  • You're wlecome 11MoonElf! And thank you! :0)

  • That video made me freeze some bananas mid way through watching. The sunday looks delicious :)

  • Haha! Now that's when ya know ya shared a good recipe! Thanks bro, I hope ya love it! :0)

  • Looks amazing!! You rock Rory!

  • Thanks so much Karen! :0D

  • wow great stuff!

  • Thanks Bro! :0)

  • mmm thanks raw dawg rory! I never thought to put the walnuts and chocolate sauce. That is like Ben and Jerrys Funky Monkey Ice cream, which was my favourite ice cream. Now I can have it raw!

  • "Chunky Monkey" on our side of the Mississippi - and you are right, what a great way to enjoy it! One of my fav flavors. (o:

  • You're welcome RawBeauty4Life! I was a huge Ben & Jerry's fan myself and I love concocting rawified versions of my ol' faves! :0)

  • I do this all the time but recently damaged my food processor doing this, the plastic on the blade got some big cracks in it from it since it was a bit much to blend.

I prefer to use my juicer and then put it in the food processor with a bit of hemp milk and then throw some raw cacao nibs into it.

  • Ouch that sucks! I've killed a few appliances in my time (blenders in my case) and it's no fun. Your recipe with the hemp milk and cacao nibs sounds awesome though! :0)

  • Another alternative is to use a meat grinder. They can be found much cheaper than a juicer.

But it's an easier cleanup with the food processor!

  • Nice Quasim0do!! Awesome alternative use for them!

    :0D

  • Want some icecream with your chocolate sauce? : D

Thanks for the video. I have been trying to get my dentist and his staff to make raw ice-cream, but they don't have a juicer or high speed blender so I sent them a link to your video. Hopefully they will try it. :)

  • Haha! A lil' ice cream with my sauce! :0D

Thanks for the props on the video Alexis! I hope your dentist and his buddies give it a shot! :0)

  • Thanks. Me too! :)

  • you. . . are awesome.

  • Haha! You just made my day! Thank you DropsOfFaith! :0)

  • Wow, another good recipe ... I put frozen banana, frozen cherries, almond milk, and walnuts to make my ice cream. Sometimes sub the cherries for blueberries or strawberries. Very low cal!

    Thanks Rory!

  • Thanks Ruby! Your ice cream recipe sounds freakin' good! :0D
