  • What the photos in this video show what an appalling city Dublin is to cycle around, always trying to wend your way through the motorised one-way system against the odds. The cyclist spends all day 'in the trench' with the lethal metal boxes on wheels. But, incredibly, the guy who made the video seems to be pointing the finger at cyclists !! You need to get on a bike yourself mate and see what it's like ..........

  • avoiding the retards driving in the cycle lanes probably.

  • rory gallagher will not be happy,i tell ye

  • you seriously lack knowledge about bikes and cycling and have successfully embarrassed yourself.

i look forward to your other videos

  • Dude, your points are so heated. I'm a bike courier and, trust me, there is a difference between "bad cycling" and "unlawful cycling". Man, all of us cyclists break rules of the road on a regular basis but that doesn't mean we're going to cycle in front of speeding traffic or aim to mow down pedestrians at traffic lights. This is a particular way of cycling which many of us can do quite successfully. It might be against the rules of the road but if you're happy to lick ass, then be my guest :)

  • @52Paddy1991 Porkchop you joker!! lots of love 58

  • I suggest a trip to Amsterdam would do you good. You might see a very similar city to Dublin swarming in non congestive bicycles where traffic accidents statistics are some of the lowest in the world.... That and you could have a couple of spliffs and chill the fuck out!

  • haha, you realy have to much time on your hands!!! if you realy wanna be a camera vigilante how about taking photos of HGV trucks driving up and down the quays illegally or hang out in pub carparks and photograph people who are drink driving.. those people are endangering other peolpes lifes..

  • I'm a driver, cyclist and pedestrian in Dublin city centre. Afraid it's no wild west...FEXRO,have you ever been to India, Thailand, London even? As iamscience rightly points out, our mate in the photo is on a brakeless fixie....which for those of you who don't understand cycling means the rider brakes by exerting backward pressure on the pedals. Cycle couriers have fighter pilot like reflexes and observational skills: their lives depend on it. I've never seen a courier cause an accident.

  • @lecomerford Yes, that bike could've been a fixed-gear bike or have coaster brakes installed

  • I was a little disappointed to not see any pictures of myself up there as I have a total disregard for the rules of the road when cycling my brakeless fixie around Dublin. You got one of my mates though, good work! Looking forward to the next one! I'll keep my fingers crossed : )

  • some may find the video one sided, but I bet they are cyclist that do not have to pay road tax and insurance and parking fee's to use the streets!!

  • @tinamrtn That's because we don't have motors on our bikes that cause pollution and take up huge amounts of space. You may as well tax people who go walking on the footpath. Cycling is promoted because it's good for the environment, cheap and less congestive in the cities. It's baffling to see that some people are against something that is actually good for the environment. You don't need to make a youtube video to document bad motoring, it's all over the news about road deaths all ready.

  • except that you only post about cyclists, which is one of the safest, most eco friendly ways to travel. While it might look dangerous, that stats don't reflect that.

  • This video is completely one-sided. Sweeping statement on all cyclists??? I cycle in town everyday and wait at red light and have to dodge jay walkers who jump in front of traffic without even looking, drivers who have no regard for cyclists and then have to put up with morons who say all cyclists are the problem. Yes, some cyclist are opportunists, but not all. The Times said this was a youtube hit...hardly.

  • Is there some massive increase in deaths/accidents that needs to be addressed?

  • Is this a campaign to ban cars from the city center?

  • @sparky191 No. It's not a campaign. Overall it's no more than the observation that there is no one running the city of Dublin.

Today's Sunday Times did an article on this but they've gotten a few names wrong and missed a few points.

  • Good song, pity about the video, how did you manage to miss all the vans/cars jumping red lights, breaking the speed limit, turning without indicating, pedestrians running out in front of traffic, almost makes me think these photos were staged. I am so sorry someone pointed this out to me, such a waste of time.

  • seriously the amount of shit drivers do on the roads are far worse, at least a cyclist is only putting themselves in harms way

  • Give it a rest. Yeah, there are cyclist that do stupid things, but there are pedestrians, drivers, and indeed people in all walks of life that also do stupid things. Were I to make a video about every piece of idiocy I saw, I'd have no time to do anything else, never mind observing any future incidences of stupidity!
