@Metalhead190243 I'm 23, I love all sorts of metal. Listening to nothing but 90% screaming in every song of my life gets rather bland... Dir en Grey just adds that extra element to make music entertaining. Dir en Grey is heavier than AA believe or not. (All AA does is just scream, DEG's instuments are far more talented and heavier than AA, plus Kyo has way more range than whoever there sing- I mean screamer is.)
Black metal to me sounds the same. DEG has insane range.
@Metalhead190243 Oh and one more thing. I doubt you listened to Different Sense yet. That song converted so many of my death metal friends. Anything off the Dum Spiro Spero and Uroboros albums are what a heavy metal guy is looking for.
I wouldn't reccomend Gauze or Macabre there earlier stuff is much lighter. (I like it, but I don't think your taste buds can drink it down). You can think Dir en Grey is crap for all I care, but I strongly feel your missing out! Have a good one!

I also love techno/house music.The only type of music i don't like is main stream pop. But that's just my personal taste

On this site I stumbled across long ago, mainly composed of Americans, were bashing on Tool because they changed. Tool's "change" was nothing compared to Dir en Grey's HUGE change in terms of genre.
There was also this one dude I met on a Dir en Grey video, he degraded Diru for being "Asian"... Now thats just stubborn if you ask me... >_>

Trivium just has this low growl all the way through with a few Amercian style lyrics that sound just like every other American metal band today. Kyo does very aggressive death syle metal sounds and extremely emotional ballads. Some times even in the same song. Wake up dude and hear real music.

@TheElectricGoop sad to say, but most American death metalheads are purists. If it's not true death metal, they hate it. Me on the other hand (metal head as well) I love this style of music. I also love techno/house music.The only type of music i don't like is main stream pop. But that's just my personal taste

@Dante1hits Pop is annoying to me, but yeah, I noticed that many Americans prefer pure, standard, metal and dislike experimental or progressive. On this site I stumbled across long ago, mainly composed of Americans, were bashing on Tool because they changed. Tool's "change" was nothing compared to Dir en Grey's HUGE change in terms of genre.
There was also this one dude I met on a Dir en Grey video, he degraded Diru for being "Asian"... Now thats just stubborn if you ask me... >_>

@SwordOfWulves Yea, some great music comes out of America, the same way great music comes from Japan. I tend not to choose sides on what country produces the best music. All I know is that, no matter what country it is from, great music is great music. It transcends language barriers, the same way any other art form does.

@Metalhead190243 Than you shouldn't even listen to Dir en grey.When i heard them for the first time (in 2007 or 2008) i was amazed.I didn't understand anything,but it was still pure beauty.Then they released Uroboros and other singles and last year an album.When i heard Different Sense (chorus) i was so amazed.

@Metalhead190243 Metalheads will respect (at least) most metal genres and appreciate the style of music so much that not understanding the lyrics without searching wouldn't put them off a band. So far we know you listen to only metalcore which is often referred to as hardcore punk.
By the way, Trivium (singer is Asian), Asking Alexandria and Motionless in white have shit lyricist so why complain?
Metalhead is just a name tag but it is rather embarrising you'd even label yourself as one...

@Fragona13 well for one thing i don't only listen to metalcore theres only a few metal core bands i listen mostly death and black metal(for instance The Black Dahlia Murder which is my #1 fav band as well as behemoth,Dark funeral,Goatwhore,Black Altar,Flesh Consumed,Fleshcrawl, Misteltein and im stopping there.) i also listen to a lot of other metal genres.

If you love Trivium and death metal then you will love DEG's songs Different Sense, Agitated Screams of Maggots, Obscure, Saku, Hageshisha to...(its a long name), Clever Sleazoid, and so on.

@umid9595 God forbid that there should be some inflection in the voice of the lead singer. Trivium just has this low growl all the way through with a few Amercian style lyrics that sound just like every other American metal band today. Kyo does very aggressive death syle metal sounds and extremely emotional ballads. Some times even in the same song. Wake up dude and hear real music.

I remember first listening to these guys when I first saw "Saku" on headbangers ball and apparently holy shit crazy stuff. I am not a big fan of this Jrock band, but I am seeing these guys at Soma with my brother, who apparently is a big fan of these guys. I digged their old style but this style is good too in my opinion. =)
