@thedemoboy The idea behind term limits is to help bust up the good old boy special interest lobbies on the Hill and get rid of these jabronies who think they are entitled to their spot upon the Hill. Granted the downside of that is you'd loose some of the good ones along with the bad. In my view I think there should be an opportunity for one who has exceeded their term limit to be able to run again after 1 or 2 terms out of office. But your right, we do need better quality people in office.

@thedemoboy The advantage of term limits is that it's been demonstrated that new member of congress tend to be more idealistic than long serving members. The longer you serve the less likely you are to be governed by principles and the more likely you are to be co-opted by the system. We need to change these people regularly if we are to have any chance to make positive changes.

@Joe11Blue Yep, I tried to explain this to a Florida resident the other day. I am a former resident of that state myself. The way to tell whether somone is oppposed to the establishment is their positions on sound money, central banking, federalism versus nationalism, and interventionism versus non-interventionism. The two senators, Mike Lee and Rand Paul, that end up being legitimate spoke of these things in addition to adressing the 17th and 16th Amendments. That's how we tell the difference.
