  • who was that cover by?

  • lol what is the point of this?

  • go fu ck yourselfe everyone can read. get a life!!!!!

  • I am picking up a new Imac 2.93 i7 Quad core 10 GB soon. My second Imac. No need for me to have a quad mac pro, even though in fairness the mac pro is designed for professionals to upgrade and expand

  • with bootcamp are macs good for gaming

  • @KallumMcKeeTV1 With boot camp, Mac is Windows on Macintosh computer so yes, with Boot Camp Macs are great for gaming, even better than PC if you have latest iMac

  • @Kilzu1 So.... How exactly can you justify that a mac is better than a pc for gaming if mac overall has much shittier hardware than most gaming pc's or self built pc's? Less possible ram slower processor speed (sense mac does not overclock and crappier graphics cards.

  • u can get a hd monitor just as good

  • i've had both and imo go for the imac

the mac pro is a rip off

i bought my v 1.1 in 2007 with the idea that in a few years i could upgrade the video card

    oh dear

apart from the 8800 gt ( and that was only after a ,load of users got a petition together ) there's not many if any options

i should've just bought another imac and changed it every 3 years like before

plus my mp has some serious build problems ( buzzy drive bays , wrongly wired bluetooth ) etc etc

  • iMacs aren't built to last. It's a ton of power crammed into one super slim display. No wonder so many of them are sent back to Apple every day. With the HD transcoding and editing I need to do, I wouldn't expect an iMac to last me more than a year, if even that. The mandatory reflective screen with issues up the yin-yang doesn't exactly appeal, either.

i7 Mac Pro with an Eizo display. Now we're talking business. ;)

  • @Fagottron and I'll ge gettin that Eizo display

If you drive your Imac hard commercially and it pays it's way, who cares if it lasts only a year?

However, I bet it will last you more than a year.

  • @Fagottron I have an early 2008 iMac and it runs as perfectly as the day I got it. Never knew they had issues with longevity.

  • Could you use the iMac with the Mac Pro?

  • i don't know why people make such a big deal about the screen, 30" monitors have the same pixel density and therefore a higher resolution.

  • @naryanr

There is no screen with the same pixel density, 30 inch monitors have the same res, but not the same density.

What Apple has done is cut away 3 inches of the screen, without removing any pixels.

Just go to an apple store and try the 27" iMac, you'll be amazed by the screen...

  • actually no, a 30" monitor with 2560x1600 resolution has the same pixel density as a 27" iMac, there's nothing revolutionary or even evolutionary about the screen.

  • Great Video!! I have had my 27" iMac Quad i5 for two weeks now and it is by far the best computer I have ever had.

From the time I got it out of the box to running all my programs. If you want to finally get your first Mac as this is my first Mac you gotta get this one.

    Great machine!!

  • good video. I must say average editors will pick the imac. But the professional editors will most likely use a mac pro for its variety of custumization. I do see 32GB RAM useless but again some HD movie editors (PROFESSIONALS) would like something around 16 GB of ram which the imac supports. Well anyways, great video

  • @EverythingISTech, People who shoot on the Red One, usually record in 4K RedRaw and have a 2K Sub-File in .mov file format. Well if there going to be editing 4K movie then it almost definitely takes 32GB of ram and about 3 Graphics cards and about 8TB. Which the Mac Pro can easily obtain and handle!

  • @ Techdude201 get an iMac 27" and then when an new Mac Pro comes out get one without a display, attach the MP to the iM via the mini display port (saves the cost of a display) - thats what i'd do

  • good video, core i9 (6core) is coming out in next year

  • The only reason I am not sure if I should get the iMac is because of the new Mac Pro will be coming out.

But I really like the iMac design and screen, and it should be just enough for me and I can save hundreds.

  • A iMac is even cheaper than a 30" Apple Display!

  • Great Video!
