My Dad flew the family all over the East Coast in a Tiger (and occasionally a Cheetah) back in the 80's. But, eventually, my sister and I got a little too big and we had to do everything commercial.
A book I'm reading called "Buying and Owning You Own Airplane" by James Ellis-Blackwell Publishing "For the private owner, the Tiger isn the ultimate simple, fixed gear airplane." With the G1000, all the better. My flight instructor and many others I've spoken with are uninformed about these aircraft. It's a shame, becuase it outperforms Archers, 182-Skylanes, many others.
Best of luck Kevin. Grumman is the best deal out there. I would like to sell those. Grumman N8055W.
