this song is hauntinling beautiful and really is remarkable, howl of wolves, John always knows how to make his vocie and his guitar make a sense of being in a natural envirenment, wheather a dark nighten forest amongst stars, or a blustering river bank amongst bears and bass.

Not to my knowledge, he never made it into the recording studio with this song, the only reason this exists is from the Nature special of John drafting down the Colorado River writing this song.

I would like to apologise to the family of Steve Irwin for spelling his surname incorrectly on my previous comment. I have discovered that this documentary was part of a PBS Nature Series,and I would dearly like to have it on DVD if anyone knows if it is available to purchase. I live in the UK so not sure I can buy it here. Going back to Julia Butterfly Hill mentioned earlier, I feel she and John would also have been friends as she was trying to preserve 1000 year old trees from destruction.

Last night I was so lucky to go to the world Premiere of Whisper the Wind this is a wonderful show so hense the photo slideshow.
Whisper the Wind is a stage production that combines a live concert concept with international musicians and singers performing the John Denver songs together with archival film. We loved the music of theis wonderful man. Carol x♪♪♫♫♥
I was in the audience in Houston, TX in Sept.1997 when John introduced his 'new' song, "Yellowstone, Coming Home." He sang it beautifully and it brought tears to my eyes.
Two weeks after that concert, we lost him.
I remember thinking what a hauntingly, perfect last song he left us with..."returning, forever returning, coming home"
HOW INCREDIBLE- to have seen him TWO WEEEKS before the crash- I can not imagine!!!! What memories!! I saw him 3 times much earlier in his career. Have you seen the "NAAEE-Yellowstone Coming Home Project 2007" that Masassa posted on here- maybe with the Houston Symphony is what we have guessed- GREAT audio and video with it- check it out as well!!

I am so thankful for this video showing Johns love for the wolves,eagles, & all wild life. He said he was a lover . So that says alot about a man. A hunter that doesn't eat what he kills is a killer.

this song is hauntinling beautiful and really is remarkable, howl of wolves, John always knows how to make his vocie and his guitar make a sense of being in a natural envirenment, wheather a dark nighten forest amongst stars, or a blustering river bank amongst bears and bass.

gosh this is so beautiful, always brings a tear to my heart, John Denver is a bright and smart and caring individual I would of love to have know, his knowledge and activities among the wild is truly a great gift. I know he's amongst the angels in a higher form then a mere mortals such as ourselves.

I am so happy to have found this video of John Denver with wolves,These very wolves are probably the ones shown that the hunters have killed. How very sad.
John knew they were being killed.

Not to my knowledge, he never made it into the recording studio with this song, the only reason this exists is from the Nature special of John drafting down the Colorado River writing this song.

I would like to apologise to the family of Steve Irwin for spelling his surname incorrectly on my previous comment. I have discovered that this documentary was part of a PBS Nature Series,and I would dearly like to have it on DVD if anyone knows if it is available to purchase. I live in the UK so not sure I can buy it here. Going back to Julia Butterfly Hill mentioned earlier, I feel she and John would also have been friends as she was trying to preserve 1000 year old trees from destruction.

This is a beautiful video accompanying a lovely last song from John. Nice to see John playing in the water with his daughter Jesse Belle & trying to educate us about preserving wild life. Like Steve Erwin,he was at one with nature and in conservation and I feel they could have been great buddies,sharing a love for all living creatures in the world,and an aim to protect and preserve them. Likewise I think John would have admired Julia Hill for the stance she took protecting a Giant redwood tree

Last night I was so lucky to go to the world Premiere of Whisper the Wind this is a wonderful show so hense the photo slideshow.
Whisper the Wind is a stage production that combines a live concert concept with international musicians and singers performing the John Denver songs together with archival film. We loved the music of theis wonderful man. Carol x♪♪♫♫♥

I was in the audience in Houston, TX in Sept.1997 when John introduced his 'new' song, "Yellowstone, Coming Home." He sang it beautifully and it brought tears to my eyes.
Two weeks after that concert, we lost him.
I remember thinking what a hauntingly, perfect last song he left us with..."returning, forever returning, coming home"

HOW INCREDIBLE- to have seen him TWO WEEEKS before the crash- I can not imagine!!!! What memories!! I saw him 3 times much earlier in his career. Have you seen the "NAAEE-Yellowstone Coming Home Project 2007" that Masassa posted on here- maybe with the Houston Symphony is what we have guessed- GREAT audio and video with it- check it out as well!!

John lives forever in the hearts of all those whom his music touched... and in the heart of the wilderness that he spent so much of his life on earth working to protect. Music like his is timeless, as was his talent. There will never again be a singer with as pure a voice, or skill as a songwriter when he was inspired. May God bless you John.
