I never really noticed its like a guide to how children should live and not care what other people think. But actually thats pointless, I never noticed it as a child.
I know. Thats exactly why I don't understand why they introduce children to words like reject without explaining what they mean. Sometimes they use even bigger words. I'll admit that I've read stories with words in that ive never heard of, then the kid asks me what it means and I have no idea lol. How old are you now?
Yeah that's quite funny really. You have to be old enough to understand it, but young enough to enjoy watching it. I'm 23 now, but I used to watch this when I was about 6 or something.
i had COMPLETELY forgotten bout this til i started looking up old cartoons on here and mum was like "look up the raggydolls u loved them when u were 3" but i couldnt remember them at all til i watched this!! and now its all back! SPOTTY!! =D
Ah, I well remember the relief of sitting with my children watching the raggy dolls - a whole five minutes of peace and quiet with some quality tv *grin* ... anyone remember Bertha - now there was another class animation
Yeah I used to watch the Raggy Dolls and Bertha, Bertha's one of the first programs I can remember watching. I'm only 19 and get terrible nostalgia for them, lol.
I loved this so much when I was little, my aunt told me I was so upset when they stopped the magazine! which we cut the lyrics out and had up in our kitchen :D
I looked raggy dolls up on here cause me and my sis were talkin about them the other day and we were singign the theme tune, I loved them as a kid. I always remember the episode with an hedgehog hibernating in a pile of leaves and they had to get it to move cause a lawnmower or something was coming, they kept poking it with a stick. Anyway it was an awesome programme, they just don't make kids cartoons like they use to :)
But this one must have been made before 1988 as that is when ALL ITV programmes had the production company logo on the front just to tell you who made the following programme.
im disgusted this was ever allowed in front of children

I always thought they were in the reject bin because it was worm and cosy in there. So I didn't understand it either.

think that's because that verse is in the end credits
yoohoo81 4 years ago
There's a verse missing that I remember. It goes:
"So if you're not at ease,
with your knobbly knees
and your fingers are all thumbs,
Stand on your two left feet
And join our Raggy Doll chums."
Why I remember that I don;t know.

it ran from 86 well into the 90s.

I used to like this too. I suppose part of its message was to tell children it's ok to be different/encourage them to accept those who are different.
