i remeber reading about his story in punk planet magazine back when this happened ,and there was a piece on tv, broke my heart. dont think ppl can realize how fucked up ppl were to you back when nobody really understood this shit. I always remebered this, dont know why i looked up his name after all this time.never really knew him.but it felt very personal.gone but not forgotten.
For example: Some black guys tried to rob my friend . When my punk friends heard that we all took off down some alley with our boots and fists and picked up blunt objects along the way. Picture a bunch of spikey haird punx walking down a back alley with weapons in south central L.A.... YEAH it was pretty crazy. Those black dudes ran for their lives and we had no trouble for the rest of the night
I appreciate the story, it's a heart-touching, but I can hardly understand you and it seems like you're reading from a piece of paper . It has to come from heart, man .
That's true about EMO's. I'm an Old Punk, I had to grow up fighting to be a punk. I got nothin' for Goths or EMO's but really I don't wanna join in on hate. that's eidiculous, If you're like me a PUNK OVER #) (34) You remember when it was dangerous to be a Punk. We had to walk in packs and carry weapons (smiley's, Knives, chain belts, whatever we could pull of as a weapon and not go to jail for carrying.
damn dude that had to be rough.. not beign who you are , but i mean finding something to pull of as a weapon and not go to jail for just because some asshole doesnt like your lifestyle, thats bullshit. im glad times have changed a little for the punks. i mean as far as i can see (tho i may be wrong) its not ryl that bad for punks anymore, not saying its easy but punk just doesnt seem as hated now days as other groups are.
yea im from the north and it does seem like the south would be worse for intolerance especialy way south down in texas. but yea ten years ago it was pretty bad from wat ive heard. like brian deneke for the punks back in 1997. tho recently in the UK its gotten pretty rough you heard the storry of sophie lancaster? the girl who was killed for being a goth, that happend back in 07 i think
No I didn't and that's sad that this would happen. I was, I guess a second generation Punk but hung out with people a lot older than me.We didn't like hippies, but we didn't try to hurt them.Everyone I knew HATED Authority and conformity so bad that if we didn't like what someone was doing we just wouldn't go around them. But just three months ago some frat Boys showed at are gig and started trouble.
wow dude you were there ??? thats crazy...gah...frat jackasses lol. but yea you had the right mentality to just stay away from them if you diddnt like em. and rly i cant blame you for hating athority
No, I actually got right in it. That was my Girlfriend at the door so when she got pushed I started swinging. I'm tell tall long hair at the top swinging. The Black guy thats holding all the punks back is our drummer B.Riot. Look Up Rebel Scum The Movie.
ha yea i saw the trailor for it, looks good. but i couldnt find the other one. the brawl at the longbranch one. sounded like you punks wooped some ass tho. lol
@scumgod13 Those frat boys wouldent make it out if it were L.A. . The punks over here are crazy. I live in South Central and sometimes we even got the gang members running.
@neverwasapunk16 Yea, we have gangs of Punks in Knoxville, TN. Im not gonna say names because I aint getting nobody in trouble. Many dont get along but when it comes to outsiders coming in everyone gets together and we stomp the fuck out of them to where they dont wanna come back.

Well, I'm from the South so there is less
tolerance here for people who wanna live a different lifestyle or dress different. Yea, but it's a lot easier than it was 10 years ago even.
