Hey Meaty, I hope you read my comment but instead of a lever, use a button. Then when you get to the top, It retracts. There are many more different styles of piston elevators where you can go down them also. Keep up the good vids. Pls reply. Txs.

btw to turn it off while your on top just make another circuit that feeds off the other one so its like a light switch and you wire it to the top where you put another lever. not to complicated you can easily do it.

u should build a shaft straight down right next to the elevator and put a 2 deep thing of water below ground level so ur safe but not far away from the elevator

if you really are gonna put down the tree. Read this better idea. Something to do in minecraft world. Use pistons to somehow cover up the tree and when it's december, fip a switch or button and it'll pop. this is really an option because there seems to be a lot of work that can take very long.

If you put a piston form-ish thing where there's glowstone that gets pushed out into a tower in the sky that glows really brightly, I will cherish that, because I love glowstone sky's hehe

In order to get down, just build a tunnel/pipe that goes all the way to the bottom, but has water at the bottom so you wont get hurt. That way you can just jump down to the bottom. You could also put a trapdoor on top so you dont need a DANGER open shaft sign
