So since he couldn't have fun with Goku, and because he had already killed the rest of the Z fighters, he turned on the human population. Android 17 is my fav Android and he is so badass! Actually 17 would have killed Cell instead of getting absorbed, this is because when 17 fought Cell it was to late, Cell had absorbed thousands of people, the more he absorbs the stronger he gets so his power level was probably a little bit about 17's if he never absorbed those people 17 would have whooped that penis tailed bugs ass!

Also 17 deserved waaaaay more screen time he got brought back with the dragon balls what makes 18 so special!?

Interestingly, according to Akira Toriyama Android 19 and Dr. Gero were originally meant to be the androids which Future Trunks foretold of, however his editor decided that the two looked outdated and ridiculous, and so rather than make them the final androids he opted to continue the saga in favor of androids 17 and 18.

Android 17 is my favorite character, I'd wish he played a bigger part during the rest of the series, just as Android 18.

Anyways, he kicked ass while he appeared, and even in the Buu saga, his short appearence was awesome. Good vid.

actually android 17 made an appearence in the kid buu saga when goku was collecting energy from the earth to fuel his spirit bomb which suggests he was considered a good guy when only the good ppl were wished back to life by dende after kid buu blew up earth. 17 must have been living out a peaceful life after he was wished back after the cell games but obviously he didnt care to assosiate with Goku and freinds. Too bad he got screwed over by gero and myuu in the super 17 saga.

Therefore, that claim that they only wished back the good people is false. 17 never had a definitive moment where he helped the z fighters until the moment he forced someone to hold their hands up to the sky, with a gun mind you.  Even when he fought Cell, it was for survival. And even made plan with 16 to turn the world into their playground.

Besides, if he really were evil then he wouldn't have been ressurected by the dragon balls when Vegeta wished that all the "good" people that had died to come back. That proves he's good. But, Android 16 was the best. He was more human than 17, and he wasn't even human to begin with.

@michiru95 I am well aware of how many people 17 killed, and I don't understand exactly why he was brought back other than, apparently, he redeemed himself. And Cell and Buu? At least 16 could pick up a fight with Cell, and not get absorbed like 17 and 18. And with Buu, all he did was get TWO people to give their energy for the Spirit Bomb. 16 helped give Gohan the boost he needed to go ssj2. Both of them were designed to kill, but 16 learned their was more and actually became a character.
