It looks like if you are on the field, it wont be as important to be inside the "ellipse" ... even if you stand just outside the ring, you should be able to see the stage very close up. And Ill bet they also end up walking around that outer ring so that at some point, Bono and Edge will be standing right in front of you. This is going to be an AMAZING show!!! U23D indeed!!!
