The reason the people look like they are from China, Japan, or whatever is because Russia is also in Asia and Valdivostok is only like 100 miles from China, and North Korea, and by water is not far from Japan. You must understand though there used to be many Koreans there before the Korean War but they would be deported to Central Asia (Turkmenistan) under the USSR. A very strict citizen-only residnence. Some Asians have returned. I saw some asians in that video. There are Siberian Tartars in Russia who are dissendents of Mongols.

The Asians you see are probably tourists (they look like tourists to me). The Manchus don't use their old tongue though, unlike the Buryats.
