Well the Wisp unit in WC3 have a special ability to deal quite a bit of damage against summoned units by blowing themselves up. Archimonde was summoned so they sacrifice alot of whisps to kill him in this manner

I defended the Human base until the 26-24th minute mark(it was the wave with the two enemy heroes.I almost beated it-only the Pit Lord remained but then,the next wave arrived right away and I didn't have much units so I retreated).And then,I managed to hold the Orc base until the end! Archimonde showed up and still I was standing pretty good.It was on normal difficulty,but still,this doesn't make it way easier

-The mission will become very hard from the moment the enemy Dreadlord comes.I found that,unless you have some Dryads ready with Abolish Magic to wake up your units and some Druids of the Talon with Cyclone to spam it on him,you will suffer major casualties-the Human base may even fall.

-Try building some Ancient Protectors lined up with the Orc Watch Towers.

I want to give some helpful tips about the last mission-Twilight of the Gods

-Purchase some furbolg(some furbolgs and a tracker) and troll(healers) mercenaries as you bring Furion to the Human base.This will buy you some time.

-Use the Ctrl-# assign for the Ancients in your base.This way,you can produce units without having to click back in the base-saves important time

-Send a wisp to expand in one of the nearby gold mines as soon as the mission starts.Also,make at least one Ancient of War

@dodoz122 Archimonde was going to absorb the World Tree's energies and become omnipotent.Furion set a trap while the Alliance of Humans,Orcs and Night Elves delayed him.All of the Ancestral Spirits attacked him the time he least expected it and..checkmate! The explosion was so big and intense that it destroyed many acres of forest and the World Tree was 'shattered' thus the Night Elves lost their immortality(hence the title).

PS:Don't ask sorry.Everyone's neeb at some point.

The Detonate ability of the wisps is an aoe dispel magic.It deals damage to summoned units(like Infernals) so,don't think that this is how Archimonde got ***.

In the game,those around the World Tree are referred to as ancestral spirits,not wisps-they have the same model,but I don't believe they're the same.

Finally beated the game-I have been playing the last mission almost 2 days! To your *** Archimonde!!:)

The druid is (Mal)Furion or Shan'do Stormrage.He placed a deep trap for Archimonde while the Alliance of humans,orcs and night elves delayed his ascent to the World Tree.Apparently,the ancestral spirits(this is how the game describes them) destroyed Archimonde.Now,I can't tell you how.
