  • i'm facinated over the officers way of giving orders. at first i thought it was a companysong or somethilng like that :P

i'm quite impressed! wish i was that good...

  • They don't wear short sleeve? Why do they wear a tie?

  • 0:10 Lo riiiight, COMMON SENSE, BIATCH! Ha lyeft roight lo riiiiight

  • officers dont have to have 4 years of high school rotc and they definitely dont go to basic training. they go to OCS. way way different than basic. So know your facts before you start to down talk anyone or anything.

  • @metalonline4 basic is for the Army. Its called recruit training

  • @GrindTripz boot camp....

  • @metalonline4 It's called basic school. That's what he means by "basic."

  • @metalonline4 some bad ass marines do boot camp then get their degree then ocs and some do recon after that

  • young officers feel like they can change the Corps. I don't understand it, I love when they make a decision against the better judgement of the SNCO's and it blows up in their face. then they try to act like no one said anything. its alright sir, your Marines are only constantly talking behind your back. My boot bands have more time in services.

  • Sorry we were just talking about the fucking officers that did just go to 4 years of ROTC and then 4 years of college. And big fucking deal if an officers pft is harder than an enlistee an officers boot camp is not as hard as an enlistee. There is a shitload more free time for an officer to study. and thank u i love 215 i do remember that an officers pft was the same as ours.

  • @mlang20 OCS is much more demanding than Boot Camp, you can't fail anything or your sent home unlike enlisted Boot Camp and the free time is a training exercise determining they can be responsible, at OCS more is expected of them and the DIs constantly trying to weed the canidate out.

  • Can't wait..Semper Fi

  • yeah but who runs the corps and instils discplean and order the back bone of the the corps Marine Corps Sgts'/NCO's. Once that LT hits the fleet he needs those NCO's and SNCO's for guidance unless he or she is a mustang.

  • @jmurillo82505 who runs the corps? Why that would be the commandant, and the chain of command above him, and his officers below him. Who operates the corps on the other hand? As in who carries out orders and does the marine corps work? that would be mother greens enlisted men, including our fine NCO's (E5 backbone of the marine corps!) Do fresh out of OCS butter bars need guidance? No more than your buck ass private or PFC fresh out of boot. You need top down just as much as bottom up.

  • if your going in, remember this one thing, D.I.'s love drill! if you drill hard 110% everytime, , your time will be somewhat easier.

  • [insert semi-accurate fact, presented with preposterous certainty and a good dose of arrogance]

  • @ dumbass comments about Marines and officers A Marine is a Marine rather Officer or enlisted they do the same training

  • OCS is for both new college graduate recruits AND enlisted chosen to become officer.

  • man this looks tough to get used to...

  • no a M.C. officers pft is the exact same as an enlisted marine. they both do a three mile run, pullups and crunches

  • Like ALL USMC officers, ROTC goes through both OCS and TBS..

Coward and slovenly? Check your facts. You probably have experience with the shitty units. Paste-eating imbecile? I'm the one in college here.

  • Lol this is so oldschool but that makes it awesome

  • ilove215 you lying fucking imbecile the PFT and CRT standards are the same for Officers and Enlisted numb nuts. ROTC is pansies so I take it you're a member?

  • @Steelsheen11b If ROTC is pansies, as you put it, why are we able to make it through OCS, no problem, with honor graduates being common? Explain that one to me.

ROTC is an intelligent choice for those who wish to get an education and serve their country at the same time.

  • @Cdodenhoff1 dumb fuck ROTC ISN'T OCS you fucking moron. Officer Candidate School is for motherfuckers that are already serving that want to to become useless pussy officers. ROTC is for cowardly and slovenly college homos. Are you perhaps confusing Army Branch School or Marine Corps Basic School for OCS you half-fucking-wit? Probably are since you're a paste eating imbecile.

  • @Steelsheen11b Useless pussy officers......alright then judging by your knowledge of the Corps Chesty Puller, highest decorated Marine officer ever, was a useless pussy officer. Judging by your knowledge of anything military, Officers who are in charge of companies and platoons are useless and the USMC should just send their newly enlisted devil dogs in the heart of Afghanistan with no leadership presence. What you say steelsheen11b makes excellent sense.....

  • Well, the redacted the Stolen Valor Act. Now anyone can lie about military service with no penalty. It's good to know that our government seems to have to respect for our active and veteran military personnel.

  • You guys are fucking stupid if you think a marine officer isn't a real marine. For all you know they did 4 years of ROTC in high school then 4 more in college and then they go to basic, and on top of that, marine corps officers PFT is harder then it is for regular enlistees. So know your facts before you start to down talk anyone or anything.

  • @ilove215 pretty sure they run the same PFT killer. pull ups, 3 mile run, and crunches

  • @ilove215 ROTC in high school doesn't count for crap. ROTC in college is still time spent as a Midshipman NOT a Marine. Enlisted Marines go to Recruit Training or "Boot Camp", Commissioned Marines go to OCS. All Marines run the same PFT consisting of a 3 mile run, Pull Ups, and crunches.

  • @ilove215 Marine Most officers are usually cardiovascular beasts, but they still turn to Gunny when it comes to making a decision.

  • @ilove215 the PFT's are the same numb nuts

  • @ilove215 Now you can split it up. Officer candidates can go to boot between their freshman and sophomore year, then OCS the next year.

  • @LavenousKirby Actually, it's six weeks of OCS in the one summer, then the second half in the next one.

  • i am an active duty SGT in the Marines and you need to know the facts jackass the officer PFT is not harder all training PFT and the CFT is the same for all Marines across the board .

  • @ilove215 First of all, know your facts. I am serving in the Marine Corp and I have done enlisted and am now an Officer, Being an officer is easy, it is not hard. The PFT or Physical Fitness Test is mandated by Marine Corps Order, females and males have different times for the run and they do flex arm hangs where as us Males do pull ups. It is still 20 pull ups, 100 crunches and a 3 mile run in 18 minutes for both enlisted and officer. Join the Marine Corps if you want to talk about what we do.

  • @ilove215 You got two things wrong. Marine officers don't go to boot camp and you gave the maximum points for the PFT. Yes, Marine officers do the same PFT as enlisted and are required to get a higher score just to go to OCS. But, you never went there.

  • @ilove215 that is what I am going for, Hopefully I get scholarship to Marines

  • @ilove215 dude and officers PFT is the same and enlisted Marines PFT same with the CFT, so you know your facts before you try and talk down to my fellow Marines

  • @ilove215 The Marine Corps PFT is based on age, weight and height, not rank. Don't correct people with false information. It's rather annoying and makes you look like a fool. Try again bud?

  • @ilove215 If you call another officer in another a "Airman, soldier" They will take it as a insult. Call a Marine officer a Marine he will say Ooh-rah!.

  • @ilove215 stupid and enlisted are synonymous there mate. I think you answered your own question. Don't get me wrong nothing but respect for any marine but there are some DUUUUMB motherfuckers gettin there eagle globe an anchor ever week or so at MCRD and Paris island.

  • @ilove215 Officer PFT is the exact same thing. They are booksmart moreso than streetsmart.

  • @ilove215 why would an officer not be a marine? STUPID PEOPLE OFFICERS ARE MARINES TOO!

  • @ilove215 i think when people say officers arent real Marines they more mean officers are paper pushers and us 03's actually fight the wars. no doubt officers have more training. i mean they do control other Marines lives so i would hope they do more than just boot.

  • @ilove215 guy abviously you too dont know what the hell your talking about

  • @ilove215 PFT is same for everyone. Perfect score is the same for everyone. 300 total. 100 for 20 pullups, 100 for 100 crunches and 100 for 3 mile run completed in 18 minutes or less. 4 years of ROTC in high school doesn't mean shit. It's all about your training in college. If you do ROTC in college then you don't have to go to "basic" which is OCS. Learn your shit before spouting off like a spastic retard. Don't know why you have 34 thumbs up...

  • Lotta PLC's out there troop.

  • real marines go to bootcamp. officers that are not mustangs are not real marines...

  • @danthman114

Is a mustang a prior enlisted officer?

  • @pa791taylor24 a mustang is an officer that was enlisted then went to ocs to become an officer...

  • @pa791taylor24

it is longer and harder than just being some college kid who gets his commission by attending officer school to who is basically taught management and how to order around a Marines without ever going to to boot camp.

there is much love and respect in the Corps for a Mustang since he was once one of us us and knows what it is like to be a real Marine and not just handed the title without physical training of a recruit.

  • That parade deck was hotter than the fuckin sun.

  • glad i am an officer dont have to do this shit

  • Crackin Sticks

  • i love u marines!

  • I graduated MCRDPI 10 days ago. I'm starting to really miss drill :(

  • @wilsontc123 hehe boot

  • 2 days till this is my life, god damn

  • @yopolopogus Good Luck Mate!!

  • The marines are by far the most badass branch of the military.

  • Crikey I just got a M1A. I love it and will always have it but its heavy as lead too. how the hell did you Marines do all this stuff with the M14 all day? Lol!

  • @shkotay we use the m16a4

    even boot camp does now

pretty insane how accurate we are with that rifle

  • @JullianChua Glad for that :D I meant Marines back in the day slinging that rifle must have had fun with it. I had watched a show with them drilling with the M14 back in the early 60s. Never used an M16 but grabbing a civilian M4 style AR. Nice and light :D

  • Without the black cadillacs there can be no thunder. Sure would like a pair of those new boots though i hear they got an EGA!!!

  • THOSE GUYS ARE STRAIGHTER THAN A LASER!!!!

  • I think it was a great loss to go away from the black boots, the sound of that distinctive snap and pop of the hard rubber heels on the parade deck with a whole platoon in step will be missed. Platoon 2042 MCRD SD, summer of 1980. You could hear us coming from the other side of the base. OOHRAH Semper Fi.

  • @miyehwsingtoheaven Amen to that! i myself am not American but i love the USA!

  • @ajsaccount1991 Finally found someone thinks normal. God Bless you!

  • how do you understand wat the DI is saying

  • @Kisukefan123 always start off with your left foot so he's saying left right left alot in USMC speak. You get used to it really quick.

  • @Kisukefan123 listen...and pay attention

  • set up the MINI GRIINDERRR!!!

  • I promised God I will not Die until i bear the Title United States Marine!!!

  • @heatkid321 You don't have to die to be a Marine just be willing to if need be!

  • @Cheramieiii

Never said i was going to xD I said I promised God I would not Die until I have the Title United States Marine

  • For those of you who can't understand the DI, don't worry about it. Each DI calls cadence and drill differently, after spending hours and hours on drill, you will be familiar with the DI's voice and know what he is saying. Drill is a HUGE part of Boot, so you'll have plenty of time.

  • When practicing drill and receiving the command "dismissed," did anyone else want to just keep running from the parade deck?

  • This is why drill is so much harder for Marines. Army, Navy, and Airforce commands from what I have heard: "Rear march" Marines: "KBAFSVAFIL"

  • I like popping sticks and marching, but close order drill sucks.

Whoa! "Fallout" ? Is that an order you don't get until 3rd phase? (I didn't make it into to 2nd so bear with me. I am going back, though.)

  • @HEIGHTSIXFIVE

What did they drop you for man?

  • @mace8675 They dropped me back in training for doing well enough at the physical exercises. Only then did I get depressed. They pressured me to quit, and did eventually. Worst mistake I ever made. But I will not live with it. I have learned what is neccessary to make it through for me, and I will return for the tittle I should have gotten back in March (or April) of this year.

  • I am joining in May and I cant wait!

  • I can't even really understand the orders the drill instructor is giving. I guess these guys are more used to it. In my NJROTC class, the instructor is slightly more clearer.

Whatever, I'll still go into the Marines.

  • @KlTTYFAT Good choice

  • I loved every minute of close order drill. We had an exceptional drill master in SSGT Yearwood. 23 years later I can still hear that cadence. To be a Marine is to be a drilling monster! The teamwork and self discipline of drill is what sets us apart from the rest. Don't lose your bearing!

  • forget graduation and family... the greatest day in boot camp was when we returned to the armory to return our weapons!

  • Gotta love the Marines!! Oorah!

  • Wow, this just sends chills lol. All the diddy's and everything. Craziest 17 weeks of my life.

  • @generaltiger 17 weeks? im pretty sure marine boot camp is 13 weeks long.

  • @Drunktiger67 Yes. it's 13.

  • @Drunktiger67

I was in MRP for a month.

  • Do you do this everyday you ask? yes... everyfucking day.. over and over and over again. you will learn to hate drill.

  • is this hard or just long and boring

  • @THEBIGCAGEY heck yea you do this everyday. thats what bootcamp is all about marching, and mind games all day......2005 2nd Battalion Golf CO Platoon 2086 MCRD

  • @THEBIGCAGEY Not every day.

  • MCRD San Diego... ill be their in just over a year

  • For anyone that thinks this is pointless, NO. it is not, it teaches uniformity and the ability to listen

  • @GeniePix and teamwork!!!!

  • @goodnightChesty1775 Semper Fi

  • anyone know who that senior was?

Sounded like my drill instructor Sgt Shipman

  • aww damn....the Marines are as hot as hell and will burn away at anything thats coming at em....if they are armed of course;)

  • What I remember from the NZDF:

    FLIGHT,easy everywhere

Get ready for a good physical brace up

    FLIGHT(GO TO ease)

    Atten-SHUN(smack on the shun)

    Right----Turn

We had a guy with a really weak voice taking drill(warrant officer for our squadron)

Then the Squadron Commander would come around for inspection.

  • 2 days later, they all got blown to pieces lol

  • 2 days later, they all got blown to pieces lol

  • SIr(s): If I may, at this Date and Time, remark how people ask, "Are these Marines?" Then, is he a "jar head"? Is he, or they, "a" Masturbator? I want to give medicinal remarks here so as to state that once upon a Time in the most educated, physically fit, and health conscious societies of the World taught "Methods of Masturbation" as internal relief and the way to relieve tension of a Man. This act led into relating to women later with a developed Phallus piece of Men with no fear involved.

  • @torstvillinger ......

  • OHH My they suck, how about cover and alignment, and what up with the wave effect on the Platoon Halt @ :26. maybe its because i am from Parris Island and i went through boot before and i went through Boot at the end of the woodland Cammie's .

  • sorry i meant 2005. anyways i could still here the airplanes when i'm falling asleep 5 years later

  • i was there from april 3rd to july 1st 2006 2nd battalion Golf co platoon 2087

  • Thats my DI, SSgt Lopez-Maldonado. Ooorah! 3082 Final Drill!

  • Ahh memories :)

  • i used to be in teh young Marines program...but do u drill everyday at boot?

  • @Fuzionrider oorah i am in the young marines as a cpl i am 15 i am enlisting in the marine corps when i am 17 semper fi

  • @Fuzionrider you drill everywhere you go. Even waiting for chow your Di's use that time to practice drill.

  • I always worried about not getting the bolt back during inspection arms. Makes you feel terrible if you don't.

  • drill in boot gets redundant but u will miss it.

0311 fox co. camp horno camp pend.

  • idk what it is but watching videos like this makes me want to enlist more and more

  • welcome to my channel !!

    the truth!

    U.S. military in Iraq!!

  • peace of shit Haji, hope you die!!! And that Marines kill your brothers...

  • drilling was a tradition in the civil war. it was said that which ever side had the best formations would have an advantage to winning the battle.

  • outstanding..i miss the the rifle drill..

  • Dude this was actually helpful cause this shows the little things I have to learn cause im a drill team commander

  • @AndyUgg to learn? arent you supposed to be commanding the drill team?

  • it's done to teach discipline and precision

  • I don't truly know the purpose for drilling... However, my guess would be it originated from more ancient times where keeping troops in formations and changing formations and position was vital to deploying said troops on the battlefield and achieving victory. A unified force that acts as one is more formidable than disorderly and chaotic movement.

    Just a guess

  • you're correct @risk3715. CoD was developed as a method for controlling troop moving on the battlefield.

  • "The object of close order drill is to teach Marines by exercise to

obey orders and to do so immediately in the correct way."

    -MCO P5060.20

  • @risk3715 You guessed right.

  • Thanks guys for respectfully answering my civilian questions about marching. As a history Junkie I have studied the military from afar. I did get a recruiting letter once from the Air Force after getting a BS in Math. I was excited but at the end of the letter they said I had to be under 40 and I was 43.

  • What is the modern military purpose of marching? Or is marching for show and exercise. Ancient Roman and Civil War soldiers trudged long distance to get to the battle field, but I doubt that they did it in formation?

  • discipline, self-control, and testing alertness

  • + team spirit/teamwork also seems to come along unconsciously in the process.

  • Our Drill Instructors told us the importance of drill and that was...

    Instant obedience to orders!

  • the purpose of close order drill in the MC are: Provide simple formation from which various combat formations could readily be assumed; Move units from one place to another in a standard and orderly manner, while maintaining the best possible appearance; Instill discipline through precision and automatic response to orders; Increase a leaders confidence through the exercise of command by giving proper commands and drilling troops; Provide the troops an opportunity to handle individual weapons.

  • I googled that, BUT they teach us that in Corporal's Course also.

  • boring...

  • Oh yeah good luck cause i saw a kid call an ex hat a drill sargent and he ripped this army kids ass and at boot camp a kid called a hat a drill sargent and he made that recruit run and run and run and then eat and run again oh yeah i can say honestly im a marine and i know that Army has nothing on us and thats why we are the best

  • Marine is spelled with capitsal M!!

  • Yeah, you call a usmc drill instructor drill sergeant and see what happens. I miss drill. I miss cadences.

  • When I'm 18 I plan on going into the Army, lol the thing I'm worried about is doing drills I can't understand one fucking word he's saying, I'd keep messing up and be out of form

  • other way around dude, marines have DI's and army has drill sergeants

  • wrong USMC have drill instrutors the army have drill sergeant

  • you got it all wrong.... Army: Drill Sergeants, Marines:Drill Instructors smart one... and the Army is no where to easy! Marines do have harder training but Army will still kick your ass.

  • @Platinum

Your right Marines do better training, only because they're heavy infantry. Soldiers are still trained good and best equipment . Best light infantry on this world? U.S Army!!

  • HA! amazing if you ACTUALLY think that is true... you wouldn't survive the first day of the crucible OH THATS RIGHT STRESSS CARD DRILL INSTRUCTOR I'M DOING TOO MANY PUSH UPS IN THE US ARMY!!!! bunch of bleeding mary's fuck outta here WE are the tip of the spear the rangers lead the way behind.

  • Thanks to the fucking librals and mothers of America the Dril sergents in the Army are soft spoken. They don't want there sensetive little boys getting cussed out by someone who is better than them.

  • true, its better now then in combat anyways

  • Lmao tr understanding a marine lol, bro u get used to it, im still in the dep for the marines and its hard understanding but theyre diddy's and once u hgear it over & over ull be saying it urself

  • mini grinder and 2 sheets and blanket can kiss my ass!

  • lol..I just graduated....we did 2 sheets and blanket like 2 weeks ago

  • what are you talkin about. the mini grinder was the only actual fun thing to do in the baracks

  • i hated drill soo much. fuck the mini grinder. i liked marching without a rifle much better though. inpection arms and marching manual were the shit though

  • @eddyguillen hahahah yeah fuck the mini grinder amen to that.

  • Im 15 and have been waiting to join the marines for 7 years, ive made this my final choice and NO EXCEPTIONS, i will be a United States Marine soon enough

  • @bobby72594 Same thing with me but I decided to also become an Officer, good luck buddy.

  • @DrPepperFU2 Provide your rank and MOS, Can you verify your ROS?

  • @bobby72594 KEEP UP THAT MOTIVATION KID, YOULL GET THERE!!! I LOVE TO SEE THAT SHIT, I SAID THAT EXACT SAME THING WHEN I WENT INTO HIGH SCHOOL

  • @bobby72594 im right up there awith ya bud. all my friends are older than me and they are all going to paris island within the week or sooner. and im anxious for them to get back so i can hear whats waiting for me. if im lucky i might see u there.

  • @bobby72594 Dont say it do it.

  • @bobby72594 -same bro maybe ill see u there
