I'm not sure where in Japan you're living, but I spent a good part of 2 years kickin' it in Tokyo and Nagano. I was teaching rockclimbing in Japanese at a gym in Tokyo, Eikaiwa in Shibuya, and skiing in Nagano. I saw your "meeting Japanese guys" vid first, and myself being Japanese found meeting girls a lot easier... all I do is approach them and introduce myself in English! I found it tough living there as an expat though... trust me you have it easier, but I loved it there in retrospect.

I've lived in Japan for two years two and tbh it is much easier for guys than for foreign women in Japan. The social pressure and expectations for women, regardless of origin, is much higher in Japan than for men. I enjoyed the time, but I had to leave as I did not enjoy working for a Japanese company.
