Yes, the Wolverine is way lighter. I didn't have room in my last post to address that.
The Wolverine also has a relatively large percentage of weight on the front (front heavy). This helps the front wheels to stay on the ground and helps them bite. The BF is light in front.
Regardless, it still helps make my point that power isn't everything. There's simply places where all that power can't be used, such as tight, technical trails. My BF wasn't very good on steep hills and when rock crawling.
actually on all testing done, a grizz is faster up hill or under load...so really its not that the brute owner didn't know how to ride...you just don't know anything.
All the testing I have done is on a stock Brute versus numerous stock and modded Grizzlies with many different riders on all machine and I have not seen a grizz yet that can take a Brute through any power range or condition. spent alot of time hill climbing in brule sand dunes and places like that and yah the Grizz is a great machine, best belt system and great reliabilty but no way can a grizz take a brute without lots of mods.
Next your gonna tell us that grizzlies can beat can-ams!!
@shark4996 In the mountains of eastern Kentucky, my relatively underpowered and non-locker equipped and stock tired Wolverine 450 climbed hills as fast or faster than my Brute Force 750 with 27" Mud Lites and a big bore kit.
And the Wolverine felt more stable doing so.
That's not saying the Wolverine would have beat the Brute on just any hill (since the ground varies). But on the really steep, hard and slick clay-dirt hills in Kentucky, the Wolverine won.
@WKHalford Wolverines are clutched way different than a big 4x4. They are set up closer to a sport quad style for clutching. That is why they are quick and can climb so well. Also the Wolverine is WAY!!! lighter than the Grizz and Brute.

@RascalyWabit I was sceptic about the 750 population of grizzlies, although the thing in the picture did look a bit like a wraith XD

There isn't any way that grizz is even near stock, or the brute rider didn't know how to use the throttle.
Good vid though

HMF Pipe and Optimizer, Dynatek CDI box, THe Airbox is hacked up pretty bad, and a Stage 1 Hotcam.
The Brute Force has a Programmer in it as well.
