Yeah, he didn't make the mistake of putting a larger than necessary turbo on. I had my custom spec Turbo's done that way because I wanted 670RWHP W/O Nitrous, it Has almost no lag, It was very tricky, I had to go with the Motec EMS, It wasn't until my 3rd set of Turbo's until I was happy. I LOVE IT, It may only have 22Kmiles on it and garaged,but, It's a 98tt 6spd,I've already decide to completely restore it, except the engine bay, that's done.your right 2JZ,it sounds like a good Turbo choice
