The ethnicity of Christ is not the essence of the ministry of Christ. We would trivialize his mission if tie him just to his ethnicity. When the christian religion is named as the white man's religion you speak ignorantly of history. History will denote the contribution of Africans and so many other ethnicities. Lets not go off of what we have heard lets do some study!

It is absolutely nothing wrong with progressive anything, Baptist or Pentecostal. What is wrong is changing the gospel for a "feel good" message. I do not want old fashion moaning and groaning preaching just because my great grandfather preached that way; I do want just because he is never outdated. Many of the television ministers have given in to some degree. It is hard to give up fame or to stay humble in the midst of it. We, my friend, have to pray for them.

The doctrine of the so called progressive baptists has lead to what Dr. Taylor is complaining about. The ultra liberal baptist preachers who hold a low view of scriptural inspiration can only lead to the crap that we hear coming across the black pulpits today. I think Dr. Taylor in his waning years is regretting where his doctrine has taken us. This is the irony of the progressive baptist convention. BTW, I don't believe in the ultra conservative baptist doctrine either. We are out of balance.
