  • Your advice is useless. You're a disgrace to the geeks! ;')

  • 32 bit is dated, in 2007 yea it had alot of compatibility problems but these days everyones building around 64bit and abandoning 32, battlefiled 3 is a good example of this, only working on 64bit

  • @D3ATHBYFIR3 Battlefield 3 works on 32 bit system. It doesn't work with Windows XP, though

  • Comment removed

  • lol 128 bit, maybe in the future...

  • You can put up to 8 gb of ram in a 64 bit system. and you can only run 2 gb in a 32 bit. That's the main difference. Memory allocation. This video doesn't say shit about that though.

  • @GodKillerAtheist Actually, 32bit can run a 4gb max, 64bit can run 192 gb depending on your version of OS. In my case im running 16gb of ram in windows 7 ultimate. heres a chart showing the comparison

Version Limit on X86 Limit on X64

    Windows 7 Ultimate 4 GB 192 GB

    Windows 7 Enterprise 4 GB 192 GB

    Windows 7 Professional 4 GB 192 GB

Windows 7 Home Premium 4 GB 16 GB

Windows 7 Home Basic 4 GB 8 GB

    Windows 7 Starter 2 GB N/A

  • @RTFMDudez sorry I meant you can't go past 4 gigs with x86. It did sound like I meant 8 gigs was the max. That wasn't my intent. Thanks for clearing that up.:-)

  • @RTFMDudez 32-bit doesn't read more than 3GB

  • @Dimitar175 It reads it, its just you have a cap of 4 gb, but windows allocates 1 GB of memory to nothing but background software. So it will tell you 3.75 GB usable. Check up on google and it will tell you the same. I do computer tech.

  • 64 is the most expensive and the fastest!!!! i wish there were 512bit os

  • over 9000 bit

  • com'on man leave about 64-bit or 32-bit windows .get a nice camera because your camera is like 16-bit video and sound capture is horrible .

  • I bet right now all those ppl that said they prefered 32-bit have changed there mind by now

  • 128 bit windows o_O

  • 1 bit mo fo's

  • 1024 bit for the win :D!!

  • How about 2Bit Windows or 256bit Windows. Which is better?

  • and one 128 !! lol

  • I use Windows7 256 bit :) Phenom II x4 256 bit :)

  • That 128 bit guy must be a Mac user, 128 bit hardware support for hardware after 2008 and 1024 bit software support for OS 10.5.1 Lepord.

  • 0.0001 BIT !!! :D

  • wait 54 bit? :D (u said that)

  • 1 BIT. Duhh

  • if i have 64 can i change it to 32?

  • @pokemonmstrlol why would you want to do that?

  • I've been using a 128bit Sun UltraSparc for... 10 years.

    Sooooooooo....

  • 32 ok 64 maby 128 WHAT?!?!?!

  • @Jjhw149 128 was a joke. It doesn't exist (yet)

  • @SOF006 I Know :D

  • 2007 .. 32bit ... 2011 .. 64bit hands down.

  • @shazzbot007 Well said man...I read in forums "yeah go for 64 fuck 32" and the like, well this is BULLSHIT!! Yes 64 is better IF you really need it! Are you a pro who needs a lot of memory? Are you a pro who wants to use major 3D gfx progs or Major music progs? If yes go with 64 because mainly these specific programs are written for 64 OS and you can full take advantage of the memory too.. So if you just play games and the like DONT install 64 because games are not made for 64 OS.It wont help!

  • @vlefteris if your play games like metro, crysis, starcraft 2 and only have 3.5 win 32 recognizable ram. it's shaving it alittle close. I'd rather have the little wiggle room and have the full 4, 5, or 6 gigs. some people actually multitask. ( ripping dvd movies to hdd while playing hardcore games). thus 64 bit is better.

  • I have 2gb RAM and do a lot of multimedia lol, what should i do?!?!?!?? lol :P

  • the 128 was me

  • @JargonWithCheeze Ah, good on ya man. I'm lovin' it too. Vista 64 bit worked PASSABLY well... but had all the same failings as 32 bit Vista.

  • @JargonWithCheeze Too easy. Windows, oh, what's it called... tip of my tongue... 7???

  • Do you make a living out of doing this kinda stuff, I think a caught a podcast of your (date excapes me) Anyway, have you figured out how to hardwire your modem and router yet?

  • 128 bit OS doesn't exist yet.

  • i have 3G ram what should i get 32 or 64 bit?

  • @MadKiller231

64 bit and get more RAM....

  • why dont u have ur own tv show yet?

  • 8BIT PWNS EVERY BIT IN THE WORLD

  • @Gerardo203 No 0 Bit does rofl

  • 128-bit epic xD!

  • Anyone else remember him on TechTV? Before it became G4....

  • how bout 8 bit windows, oh wait

  • have u got a hangover or something?

  • how 'bout 16 bit windows?

  • @TheClanWarsChanal There is windows 95-98 for that.

  • @shazzbot007 you're totally wrong with your statements except for maybe about the program for your work. ntfs all the way!

  • ".. the whole legacy architecture thing and how it work with software and thing.. " :-D.. you don't have a fuckin clue what you talking.. do you? :-D

  • 64- bit xD

  • 256bit doesn't exist for PC platforms. 128 is rumored for Win8. But, that's about it.

Don't confuse system platform with color resolution.

  • @lockergnome

The max ram is actually 3gb on 32.

  • @CrewRite no it can be anything below 4gb since 32 bit OS allow 4gb of memory INCLUDING the video card

  • Not all of the 4gb is usable though. Well XP seems to have a 3gb limit, so I don't know. Other versions of Windows maybe.

  • how do I check my OS bits?

  • @hobocamptheater

32bit is also referred to as x86

64bit is also referred to as x64

    in XP:

    Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information

    in Vista/7:

    Start>Control Panel>System

  • Windows 7 64 it = God Mode [On] Off

  • One 128. lol Theres always a 128 person out there somewhere.

  • @benthemiester lol it was not me xD

  • Obviously 64bit is much better now (2010), but there were compatibility issues back in 07 when the vid was made.

  • QUICK QUESTION

how can i upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit??

  • @ixy1987 If you're using Windows 7 chances are you might have an installation disk for both the 32 and 64 bit versions. If not you should contact your OEM and see what they can do for you.

  • @ixy1987 i basically bought my computer 1 year ago....with stock setting the spec is:

    -Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200

    -2.5GHz

-window vista home premium 32 bit processor

i have not made any hardware or software upgrade and was hoping to start updating my system...but only if 32 bit to 64 processor upgrade is possible

  • RANDOM: What would you use to kill a frog?

  • 32 for 1 reason, programs automaticly stay in one folder

  • 32bit is utter bullshit. Program compatibility my ass I haven't seen a single programs that works on a 32bit computer that wont work on a 64bit one. "ohh look at me I have a computer that only supports 32bit operations and a max of 4 gigs of ram, I'm so cool". I bet you're chat-room would say that USB 1.1 is better that USB 3.0 if they had the chance.

All this video shows is that your chatroom is filled with artards, a few smart people, and 1 guy from the future.

  • @TheWhiteRabbit1990 one guy from the future ftw lol

  • @MORONIOO76

I have 256 bit, what are you talking about? Did Google plug the flux capacitor into their mainframe again so the present is communicating with the past? Last time that happened Obama became president instead of Palin. It was for the better at least. That was the day Google saved the US from the dark ages of misinformation. Teaching Noah's Flood as a historical fact in public schools, ha.

  • @TheWhiteRabbit1990 calm down, this was years ago, 64bit has come a long way with comparability since then!

  • @231karl

64's kicked 32's ass since XP.

  • ur so funny man, you spit while u talk lol hahahaha i like your videos

  • i got windows 64bit on win 7 but cant watch vids here and cant get a flash player anyone know where i can get one for it

  • What it's better? That's easy....answer is: 64-bit

why? Because, every 32-bit OS support only 3GB of memory...

For example, in ur computer u have 6GB of ram, ur instaled system is windows vista 32-bit or windows 7 32-bit, now what it's the problem: system detect 6GB, but use only 3GB.

For XP 32-bit users: same thing, system maximum its 3.2GB...no metter with service pack u use.

  • 32bit is quicker than 64bit for processing... on larger processor and ram then 64 bit can process as smoothly as a 32bit process...

  • as he said i have intel pentium 4 both 3.20 ghz and 3 GB ram am i better with 64 - bit or 32 - bit i currently have 32 - bit also 128 MB video graphic NVIDIA 6600GT

  • 256 ftw!

  • I love the silence after the 128 :D

  • 64bit <3

  • @officialpixelstudios you know ur a nerd when the first comment u see is 64bit <3 hahah

  • @slb711isScott lol ikr

  • 128 bit future windows beats it all! You will see! *Shakes fist for no reason*

  • @MrGrebbi just think, probably 20 years from now or sooner* Microsoft will come up with a 512bit windows lol

  • Win 7 64 Ultimate (and Ubuntu 64 Lucid and PC-BSD 8 64)

On anything other than a netbook, 32bit processors and OSes are useless.

  • 2007 lol

  • My Vista is sick ... yes - SICK, Hold ON - let me call a doctor!!! XD

  • @1Nekit1 that was terrible....

  • @bendikn As terrible as Windows XP lol =D

  • @1Nekit1 that was even worse

  • @bendikn :P XP with 16 bit It`s dead already!!! lol

  • there are no 16bit xp...only 32bit NTFS version and x64 NTFS version available . even win9x are 32bit as well.

  • can you please fix your mic?or atleast buy some decent one...no offence

  • Also, in 64-bit, you can't use older programs.

  • how? tell me how old program cant run on x64? do you ever own a x64 os before or your pc was completely 32bit old school?

  • @hanrinch I've always owned 32bit before I got my laptop. By older programs I mean DOS programs won't work without something such as DOSBox. Older exe programs will work fine.

  • i have xp x64 right now and i dont see any issue running older program except the software that run kernel mode(CAD) or some copy protected like older version ACD image. otherwise it's all vice versa because i can play most of game from 90s on this machine and most of apllication that run on win9x. however 16bit application like dos microsoft had officially drop support way before xp came out. so even back to original win 2000 would still require dosbox to run any dos-based program.

  • 32-bit is better

  • @zhir96 64 bit is better, it supports more ram and is faster then the 32 bit i've used to have

  • Do anyone know a 32 bit Version of Adobe after effects?

  • you don't know a shit.

  • no shit 64 bit is better its faster and newer

why would u wanna get something old

  • lol i have 64 but i didnt get to pick what i wanted

  • @scotty10211-I KNOW RIGHT? I DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING I JUST KNOW I HAVE 64 WIN7 AND IT WORKS JUST FINE WITH MY HP LAPTOP...

  • /watch?v=GYt1jF4lJDQ

  • 128-bit ftw.

Epic speed, too bad its only for supercomputers

  • What's the best for gaming?64 or 32?

  • 64 bit will be better, but not yet. most games aren't optimized for 64 bit, but the few that are. eg crysis, are better on 64 bit. for now stick with 32 bit

  • fock you

  • 64 bit OS has a lot less viruses too cause the viruses are made for 32 bit not 64 bit. so it has a hard time decrypting 64 bit.

  • this is soooooooo old

  • 64 is simply better! screw running with a max of 1.5 gig of application ram on 32bit os... :S

  • win 7 64-bit FTW

  • @cateye27 Why?

  • @cateye27 windows 7 is 32 and 64 it supports both pc's :)

  • i run 64 bit

    but i game alot

  • Vista Home Premium 64x

    Core 2 Duo: 2.8GHz / 2.8GHz

    6 Gigs of RAM

  • Vista is shit

  • @BurningArtsStudios Why is vista shit ? Lol you problably tried the beta or sp1 when it was unstable and unreliable.. Sp2 is great and probably as stable as XP.

  • @BurningArtsStudios

Is Vista shit really?... or is it the user? I have a Linux background, but I've been pounding on Vista 64 for 6 months heavily. It hasn't crashed.... even once, ever. I run several vm's on it and applications data transfers and stream media all day long... what's up with your system then... or is it just you?

  • @nolobede No i just hate it, i dont like it at all just because i have never had a freinds that has told me it was good, i went to a computer shop twice and it crashed on me, thats why i dont like it.

  • @BurningArtsStudios

Yeah, there are lots of reasons to dislike Windows, however my comment is directed toward that Vista has been relatively successful in my view. XP is rock solid, but aging, and Windows 7 is just a baby. So right now I'm pretty happy w Vista. I started from scratch, keep updates, clean installs, good anti virus and run clean list of services and startup apps and it runs great.

Then again, I may be sorry I said all this.

  • @BurningArtsStudios i agree

  • @BurningArtsStudios No kidding? I have it and I used to be better off with XP. Only good theing about Vista is Aero.

  • @TheAnarchistAlex True, True

  • @BurningArtsStudios Indeed.

  • @BurningArtsStudios vista aint shit its only shit if your computer is shit

  • @BurningArtsStudios fuck you i dont know why u got so much thumbs up propably some windows xp fans who envy vista cuz it has much more stuff allowed or windows 7 fans who think its 10 times better well FUCK YOU!

  • @MsKevin400 Why thank you :) Have a nice day!

  • dos it run ok i have the pentium 2.8GHz and 3 gigs or RAM

  • I USE WIN 7 ULT 64bit AND I HVENT PROBLEMS!!!

  • i cant play cod 5

  • Ha! I laugh so hard when you sayd: And one 128bit :D:D:D

  • lol so did i

  • lol wish i had that os

  • You're right. I just got it a couple of days ago, and to make sure, I tried some older games, (Diablo, Sacrifice) to make sure. No problems at all. Now I'm just waiting for the extra RAM to arrive in the post and things should really start to get good.

    Cheers for the reply

  • whats with the 128? ive seen higher i got higher than that lol.

  • You might want to reconsider that...

  • lol you cant go farther than 64 bit i think (i might be wrong show me some proof or something if i am :P)

  • System/37 made by IBM uses the 128bit...but don't worry, you and I wouldn't need it :)

  • 64 bit get's just as many crashes and bsods as 32 bit. It's mostly because of bad drivers, and 64 bit windows has them too.

However, a healthy system is probably more stable than a 32 bit system overall.

  • I have a question. If I decide to use Win 7 64bit version, will I have problems with my older programs (older games, etc)?

  • @Greensmurf use the compatibility mode

    thats what i do

    win7 64bit rocks!

  • Yes it does :) I was still in the deciding stage when I posted that. Got it now and loving it in 64bit mode

  • thanks

  • i got a windows vista 32 bit . can i still upgrade it to windows 7 64 bit?

  • 64-bit all the way... never crashed on me once.

  • 32-bit ftw!

  • try this......

    Mac vs. Solaris

    Windows vs Linux

BeOS vs z/VS (an iBM 64-bit OS)

    :D

  • if you have 32bit processor/mainrboard then you can only have 32bit on your pc. however if you have 64bit processor/system then you can use both 32/64bit. to these people who less willing to upgrade their old pentium 4 pc 32bit will be their only choise.

  • i duel boot vista(32bit) and win7(64bit) :))

  • I dual boot Windows 7 32-bit & Windows XP 32-bit. Going to replace Windows 7 32-bit with 64-bit because i have 4GB RAM.

  • do you have 64bit processor and mainboard 64bit compatibility enable becuase some chipset do not support 64bit. for the true 64bit system u'd need atleast athlon le/celeron e1200 or above(athlon 64 still has touble running x64) and g31/am780 mainboard.

  • Well can you please check my computer specifications on my channel to check if i can have the 'true' 64 bit experience. If yes, then how can i find out if i am truly 64 bit?

  • you are past! e5200 is fully compatible for full x64 experience.

anything that older/below sampron x2/athlon le&celeron 440&celeron e1200 would consider to be non-stable or non compatible for x64.

  • I knew i could trust my E5200 haha, just having a little cooling problems :(. ZALMAN CNPS7000C-ALCU LED Sucks?

  • cooling problem you serious? o.0

e5200 is one of the most low heat produce processor in the market and i have e5300 and it ran with 30c in full speed(spped step disable) and i am only using intel oem stuck heatsink. so apperantly it is either your heatsink fan isnt function probaly or you need the thermal paste.

  • By the way i did overclock to 3.2GHz

  • still it wont generate that much of heat since i overclock my celeron e1500(65nm) to 3ghz before and it only went to 45c with stock cooling. e5200 has better fabrication(45nm) than e1500 so it would be any hotter than 50c even overclock.

  • But the thing is that, i thought i had put too much thermal paste, so i put less and temperatures improved by around 2 degrees. And i've had someone experienced in putting cpu coolers with paste and still no ACTUAL improvements. i think i need a better fan. or try the stock?

  • i bet it is the fan's rpm is too low for the cooling condition. also it might be fualty by the case that lack of air flow. how many case fan in there? and have you clean the dust once a week? the heatsink might be too dusty and cause bad heat transition.

  • Yes, i've just cleaned out my cpu fan, cleaned the case a little and re-applied thermal paste. and no difference. i set the cpu fan to the highest rpm and still didnt effect anything. I have 1 120mm (intake) infront of the case, one side 80mm (exhaust) fan and one 120mm at rear (exhaust).

  • what is you temperature

under 45nm fabrication it should be easily exceed to 3ghz+ without stock cooling at high rpm..... my frieza has e8400 3.2ghz and it ran only 44c at stock cooling and it has 6mb l2 cache that 3 times size than pentium and it suppose to generating more heat and energy than your oc e5200......

but it might be bios isuse. however g45 would have such problem of overclocking. strange though.

  • Oh wow i'm soo stupid. I was reading temperatures from my gpu...4870 tends to run hot. I got a program called 'Core Temp' and i'm reading 44-47 LOL. I have Rivatuner but i don't know how to bring up cpu readings? i can't find them.

  • download real temp from techpowerup. i dont recommand core temp since it's payware and the trial has so many limitation. if you cant find core temperature then you're probaly use free demo and cpu temp wont display in that version.

  • doesn't work for win7 64

  • did you dl the 32bit realtemp? x64 need 64bit realtemp to work because it is type of registry like program which it wont run like other 32bit program by just use compatibility mode.

other word...you download the wrong one...

  • Well yeah it worked now, some reason it weren't working. 46-43 temps, it's alright...

  • 43-46 degree seem to be abit higher than my standard average pentium under 3.2ghz oc is 40c but additional 3~6 degree wouldnt hurt that much.....

  • Yeah =/ what kinda of case fans and cpu cooler you got?

  • Cooler Master X Dream 4 air cooling...originally intel oem heatsink pro heatsink(was for pentium d 805/820 series) but then i gave it away to my friend to need cooling solution.

  • Lol ok

  • oh btw you said you had win 7 x64 then how can your ram only appeared as 3.25gb if you were install 4gb total?

  • Oh yeah shit, forgot to update lol...i had xp 32 bit xD
