Stars could not be imaged in the Moon in sunlight. Besides the shutter speeds on the cameras was to fast to do this. Several images of the Earth were taken on some missions. The UV camera deployed in the shadow of the A16 LM imaged stars on 176 photos.

In a vacuum? The roar of a rocket engine is produced by it's interaction with atmosphere.
Inside the spacecraft, the only sounds would come from the propellants flowing through the engine pipework. The astronauts were suited and helmeted, with microphones INSIDE the helmet.

There are rocket scientist that pointed this out. No matter what they did to filter the sound, it is not just the sound, but the vibration of the intense ride on to these destinations, on any of those vessels.
I've watched the landing video from every mission. The only significant sound apart from voice comms is static. As you would expect, there is no "loud engine".
Don't forget also, the astronauts are in the Ascent Stage, remote from the firing Descent Engine. There may be more noise therefore on ascent (that engine was under a panel behind the astronauts), but again, nothing like the engine roar you would expect to hear were the engine firing within atmosphere.

I didn't say it would vibrate significantly, a rocket motor would make a noise conducted through the craft as vibrations. The motor in operation would vibrate the air in the LM as sound. I'm saying the film IS real, very much so. The motor would be audible on the soundtrack for sure.
You don't hear anything in the com during a Shuttle launch, at least not after they seperated the solid boosters and are out of the denser parts of earth's athmosphere. The LM's engine is a simple pressure fed engine with no moving parts like pumps or turbines and the microphones were inside a closed helmet, shuttle astronauts usually open their helmets after booster separation.

The LM engine would still make a noise as it burnt its fuel. Just a suggestion but the suit mics used in Apollo may have been omnidirectional rather like tie mics and not noise cancelling. I say you would still hear the engine inside your space suit & the mics would pick it up. You can hear the engine shut down when they land.

They had no room at all to sit, but on the engine...

BTW - The Shuttle puts out about 6.8million pounds of thrust at launch. The LM Descent Stage is managing just under 10000 pounds at full throttle, or about 1/680th of the Shuttle thrust (less than 1%). Might be relevant?
One thing is clear, the Shuttle crew have no problem communicating with the ground, as we've all heard it during launch.
@eventcone On descent, the LEM (Lunar Excursion Module) does NOT fire it's engines. It only fires it's main engine to descend towards the moon, then uses the gravity of the moon to land. Directional changes are made using small compressed gas thrusters on the sides of the craft, which produce very little noise and the astronauts' helmets would most likely filter out the rest of the noise. This did happen. Some people think it didn't. Some people think the holocaust didn't happen either.
@Pwn3r66 The motor is firing all the way down to the moon, if it didn't the LM would increase in speed and land at a very high speed. You can hear the command to shut off the motor just after they land. There was no compressed air used to change attitude.
@eventcone Sound may not travel in a vacuum, but it will in the module. He will get shakes all in his voice, you can't stop that. Just because you are in a vacuum, that doesn't mean sound would dissipate completely inside the vessel. A rocket engine will shake them to death and sound will find a leaky loophole to follow if all possible. One of the astronauts even wrote about the rocket engine in his book. Which is it? They can't get their lies straight, so I will contest every one of them.

About that flag: I have no idea what effect the lunar surface has on the flag. Minimal I should think as it doesn't touch the surface (unless it fades in the sunlight). But whether it lasts months or centuries doesn't really matter, does it? It was a symbolic gesture that said: "This was OUR country's achievement". As such, it only had to last as long as the cameras were there to photograph it (a few days at most).

@GUARDIANtrooper It's not video. It is 16mm color film from the DAC mounted in the LMP window. All of the DAC film magazines were loaded with color film.
This film is authentic. There are no edits from pitchover to touchdown. You can detect the shadow of the LM on the bright rays of the large crater Camelot
Jack Schmitt wanted to land on the dark side but without some sort of relay for COMS this was not possible.
Beside the Apollo missions did not go to the Moon to image stars.

Stars could not be imaged in the Moon in sunlight. Besides the shutter speeds on the cameras was to fast to do this. Several images of the Earth were taken on some missions. The UV camera deployed in the shadow of the A16 LM imaged stars on 176 photos.

As far as photos are concerned there is nothing wrong with cropping or adjusting for overexposures. It all about the aesthetics, Besides all the raw Hasselbland images are posted on the Atlas. So this makes you rstatement that photos are fixed incorrect.

Inside the spacecraft, the only sounds would come from the propellants flowing through the engine pipework. The astronauts were suited and helmeted, with microphones INSIDE the helmet.

I've watched the landing video from every mission. The only significant sound apart from voice comms is static. As you would expect, there is no "loud engine".
Don't forget also, the astronauts are in the Ascent Stage, remote from the firing Descent Engine. There may be more noise therefore on ascent (that engine was under a panel behind the astronauts), but again, nothing like the engine roar you would expect to hear were the engine firing within atmosphere.

All spacecraft engine burn manoeuvres (in space), whether Apollo CSM, Shuttle or whatever, will be pretty quiet events for the spacecraft occupants.

How do we know that the whole space is a vacuum and not just around our planet for some sort of protection measure to help hold in our life support? Explain to me how are we going to receive pictures or videos from that distance without a relay or battery life that could recycle itself for that long without humanoids managing it? We have trouble with signals getting blocked on earth, space is far worse and the signal will cut off after a certain distance, would it not?

@GUARDIANtrooper No offence,but it`s physics knowledge again.The vast majority of space is simply empty.The signals travel at the speed of light so arrive fairly quickly.The craft use solar panels and/or ultra long life batteries.You`re right about signal issues on Earth,but we live in a unique(certainly in our system)environment-incredibly crowded and over flowing (literally) with noise pollution.As long as voyager doesnt suffer power loss, break or hit something it`s range is almost limitless

@eventcone The vibration produced by the engine would travel through the chasis and vibrate the air in the LM, the crew were sitting pretty much on top of the engine so yes it would have been very audible. Same explanation for the Apollo 13 bang.

Why do you think it would vibrate so significantly? Do you have a source reference for that?
Are you saying that the film can't be real as the crew micrphones should pick up much more engine noise?

@eventcone Which means they were sitting pretty much on top (a turn of phrase) ie very close to the motor, the whole LM is only 22 feet high or so. I didn't say it would vibrate significantly, a rocket motor would make a noise conducted through the craft as vibrations. The motor in operation would vibrate the air in the LM as sound. I'm saying the film IS real, very much so. The motor would be audible on the soundtrack for sure.

You don't hear anything in the com during a Shuttle launch, at least not after they seperated the solid boosters and are out of the denser parts of earth's athmosphere. The LM's engine is a simple pressure fed engine with no moving parts like pumps or turbines and the microphones were inside a closed helmet, shuttle astronauts usually open their helmets after booster separation.

@blablubb12345 Yes you do hear a lot of noise during a shuttle launch and there is a lot of vibration, there is a cockpit video of a shuttle launch on YT. The LM engine would still make a noise as it burnt its fuel. Just a suggestion but the suit mics used in Apollo may have been omnidirectional rather like tie mics and not noise cancelling. I say you would still hear the engine inside your space suit & the mics would pick it up. You can hear the engine shut down when they land.

@eventcone I saw the shuttle go up twice and that thing pack a punch. Days before launch this mouth, I was asking questions about the vibrations and the guy said, it is so loud, there is no need for the astronauts to even talk, because they can't hear anything over those engines. Now I know the shuttle is louder than the LEM, but still they were sitting on top of the engine and this was clarified and measurements were taken. They had no room at all to sit, but on the engine...

BTW - The Shuttle puts out about 6.8million pounds of thrust at launch. The LM Descent Stage is managing just under 10000 pounds at full throttle, or about 1/680th of the Shuttle thrust (less than 1%). Might be relevant?
One thing is clear, the Shuttle crew have no problem communicating with the ground, as we've all heard it during launch.

@eventcone On descent, the LEM (Lunar Excursion Module) does NOT fire it's engines. It only fires it's main engine to descend towards the moon, then uses the gravity of the moon to land. Directional changes are made using small compressed gas thrusters on the sides of the craft, which produce very little noise and the astronauts' helmets would most likely filter out the rest of the noise. This did happen. Some people think it didn't. Some people think the holocaust didn't happen either.

The engine was fired all the way down. Without that, they would have impacted on the moons surface at some 2-3 kilometers per second ;-)
Also, the reaction control thrusters used hypergolic fuels, not compressed gas.

@Pwn3r66 The motor is firing all the way down to the moon, if it didn't the LM would increase in speed and land at a very high speed. You can hear the command to shut off the motor just after they land. There was no compressed air used to change attitude.

@eventcone Sound may not travel in a vacuum, but it will in the module. He will get shakes all in his voice, you can't stop that. Just because you are in a vacuum, that doesn't mean sound would dissipate completely inside the vessel. A rocket engine will shake them to death and sound will find a leaky loophole to follow if all possible. One of the astronauts even wrote about the rocket engine in his book. Which is it? They can't get their lies straight, so I will contest every one of them.

About that flag: I have no idea what effect the lunar surface has on the flag. Minimal I should think as it doesn't touch the surface (unless it fades in the sunlight). But whether it lasts months or centuries doesn't really matter, does it? It was a symbolic gesture that said: "This was OUR country's achievement". As such, it only had to last as long as the cameras were there to photograph it (a few days at most).
