  • 4.34 in video nice spring shackle.... foot long piece of steel...real good for lateral loads right??..how long before that snaps off???

  • @sdfhsdher

I suggest you look a little closer. That is actually a Rocky Road Shackle Reversal system. I know the camera distorted the aspect a bit but I can assure you it is not a foot tall, it is appx 5" in height if my memory serves me correctly. It is made from 1/4" steel, and has a tubular frame stiffener that went between both front SRS hangers to stiffen the frame and ensure it has the lateral stability necessary.

The front has been converted to YJ springs without missing-links.

  • @32greaves

There were no swaybars installed and it had CJ7 HD fronts out back with missing links. The front still had the stock springs up front but the clamps were closed still iirc.

It has a YJ conversion kit up front now and works MUCH better, of course.

  • stock samurais dont flex.dillertlee. to the guys in vidio take sway bars off that thang will flix alot more

    .

  • togli le balestre, sali di più,;;

  • ritirati..non fa per te.

    supera gli ostacoli..saluti

  • nice samurai. i bought some shackles like that from rocky road i think. they made a world of difference, i can twist my sammy up pretty good.

  • why do you have break lights on FRONT bumper?

  • @raptormaxx

We had recently put the LED rear tail lights and did not have the trailer adapter nor did I have any diodes to keep the brake lights from back feeding. That was fixed pretty quickly, for obvious reasons. :D

  • very good looking samuraii like a jeep

  • my stock samurai flex's better than this. with all the work involved in this kind of mod you would have been better off doing a spoa conversion and buying a ruf kit from rocky road outfitters. it would have probably saved you time and money, not to mention it would more than likely given you better articulation too.

  • @dillbertlee

Look again...it already has an RR SOA :)

Not meaning to be rude but I call BS. There is a huge difference in replacing the leafs with CJ springs. Total time to perform the swap was about an hour and a half. The springs were my CJ's original fronts. Missing links were made from spare parts/steel. Not much time or money. The 2.25" or so wheelbase stretch is nice too.

If you watch more recent vids you'd see he now has YJ springs in the front... YJ Front > RUF anyday.

  • @evulution1337 this setup is completely useless. from what i see this sammi has very little articulation. and i agree, yj not cj springs are way better than a ruf kit.

  • do you know your install tires from wrong side?

  • @ThatHoodNiggaBrik

I'm not sure what you mean? KM2s are not directional tires and the wheels are definitely on correctly.

  • @evulution1337 letters on tire should be seen from other side

  • @ThatHoodNiggaBrik

We just run white letters in...

  • dude thats way to tall.. to im-practable

  • @pogsean07

it's about 1.5" lower now...probably a little bit lower now that the suspension has been through a few good runs. You can see it in the newer vids as it sits now.

  • im fockin sorry to say this...but THIS ZUK IS HORRIBBLE !!!! TUMBS UP 4 THE SERIES ZUK !!!!

  • @tudorino66

HAHA. Thanks for the comment. We haven't done an update video - last one is a drive-up with the YJ front springs.

We'll wind up getting some off-road videos up sooner or later...usually too busy having fun wheeling than taking video when we go out.

  • @evulution1337 cheers....i saw the other green one 2...but I (me) prefer them series zuk"s ...haha u americans !! have fun and great mud m8 !!!

  • @tudorino66

Other green one? There is only one that is on my channel - all the same one. When you say 'series' do you mean serious? I only ask because this thing crawls over everything...after the YJ springs in the front, front locker and chromolly shafts.

  • @evulution1337 lol ...i dunno where i saw it then haha !!!

  • Suzuki Samurais are only good for offroading, I took mine into the city, And Got flicked off and honked at cuz it was slow as fuck. and it didn't have power steering so 3 pt turns in a tight ass neighborhood was a bitch -__-

  • @sunnycloud69

it has plenty of low end power now because of the gear ratio...manual steering sucks especially with the 33s. does just fine on the highways and bi-ways, though. including palisades, taconic, etc...

it just doesnt really have much mid\top end...that will be fixed with the 1.6 swap thats in the works.

  • @evulution1337 i did the 1.6 swap, and its well worth it to put flat top pistons in its really simple to do dnt know if u ever have before, i had the problem of running a little bit smaller tires than rus because of some stupid laws where i live, so i had to beef up from the 1.3 to the 1.6 and i still wasnt quite satisfied till i put flat top pistons in, its worth it!

  • @waiukea

Thanks, man. I'll pass it along to my buddy...he has started to look for motors and we found one already pulled at our local yard. He is holding it for him. :)

I'll definitely let him know about running flat tops...no issues running them on a DD? He has to commute ~2hrs each way...and some of it will be in the Zuk.

    Thanks, again.

  • @sunnycloud69 - I know that my buddy has taken it into NY more than a few times to play shows and such (drummer). I believe it was SOA on stock springs with 31s at the time, though. On a side note...the truck weighs hardly anything...even with the 33s manual steering isn't bad on this thing...unless hes in 4wd...due to the locker.

Hell, I've run my CJ on 35s and manual steering...it's not all that bad...never driven the CJ into the city, though.

  • are those stock axels? just wondering about the 4.56 gears, i thought sidekick 3rd members had 4.62 and 5.12s.

  • @kauaiboy89

Yup. Stock axles...BUT...they are re-geared with Yukon 4.56s - they were originally 3.73s which from our research that is all Sammis came with from the factory. His xfer-case reduced his high range by 12% too.

  • @bfagay1 Are you stupid? Stop following me dipshit troll. I bought it, have $3,000 into it now.

  • @evulution1337 Huh i didnt know cj springs just bolt right up, did you measure the flex with the cj springs? It looks good but kinda stiff in this video. My buddys has yj springs so i decided to do it to mine. The kit from rockyroadoffroad-dot-com was $685 for everything. Which sucked major ass but looks good now. Anyway nice samurai, looks like you have a body kit too?

  • @ChevroletTuff

CJ front springs are 2" wide like Sammis and I had my stock CJ HD springs laying around so we bolted them up. They are longer and stretched the WB ~2.5" which is more than you get from the YJ kit. If he puts YJ springs in we are going to make our own brackets to retain the WB stretch as the RR kit doesn't give you the same amount of stretch.

The CJ springs are a little on the stiff side but it rides GREAT and flexes good too.

No body kit on it...unless you mean body lift?

  • @evulution1337 Huh well its a very nice lookin samurai, you guys did a good job. Im going with the black on black look for mine. black rims and paint it black maybe with a monster sign on the hood. I painted my missing links n shackles and all lime green picture is on my page.

But yeah i meant body lift lol, it looks alot bigger than mine and im sprung over with yj swap now. . . ill make a vid soon

  • @evulution1337

Thanks. I will pass the message along to him as well. It is a really well built rig, that's for sure.

  • Should have went with yj spring swap, thats what i just did on mine...

  • @ChevroletTuff - It now has the YJ spring swap in the front with the CJ springs out back. It rides and flexes really really well...he keeps tossing around swapping out to YJ springs out back. Bolting up front CJ springs is just a really easy solution...literally bolt and and move the shackle hanger or put in missing links, done. And it moves the rear axle ~2.5".

  • @ChevroletTuff - It now has the YJ spring swap in the front but still has the CJ springs out back. It rides and flexes really really well...he keeps tossing around swapping out to YJ springs out back, though.

Bolting up front CJ springs was just too easy...literally bolt on and and move the shackle hanger or put in missing links and then call it done...plus it moves the rear axle ~2.5" or so.

  • What rear bumper is this?

  • @DefenderTDBlack - Custom - he built it from a Jeep bumper I was given...

  • @evulution1337 So what rear lights are they specifically?

  • @DefenderTDBlack

Oh...I will find out but I believe they are the "Clear Lens Oval BLAZER LED" lights - we used a trailer converter to simplify the wiring.

  • @DefenderTDBlack

I'll ask him...I think he might still have one of the cardboard backings?

  • that blue jeep is way harder

  • @erikabash

    This sammi is sick.

He just got done putting the YJ springs in the front and holy crap can he flex out...will take more video once I find where my daughter hid the camera bag that has the charger in it.

  • You are a FAG. Creating a new profile just so you can talk shit to me on.

    You are super cool dude.

Not. Grow some balls if you wanna talk shit or get off the internet.

  • OK...

  • @ThatTallActorGuy

It's like this guy has a form letter for his shit talking or something, lol.

In a message he sent me, he did the same thing - a compliment, followed by 'Not.' Hahahah. It's like 3rd grade all over again.

Oh, and good on you, bro, for separating 'you're' out into two words so you didn't fall into the 'your' versus 'you're' trap again.

  • Enough of this crap in my comments...I am all about Internet Neutrality etc and will leave the existing comments up but what is this crap?

    Take it somewhere else!

  • throw the BL in the trash and 4 link it with only straps and shocks,

    way better

  • @ThatTallActorGuy

That's the long term plan - we just put the YJ spring up front finally but are waiting on front driveshaft\bushings...will post an update on it's flex but it looks like it will be sick.

both my buddy and i prefer leaves but it's undeniable a linked setup is going to be the best overall.

  • Long term plan? haha Why is that? I link everything i build, I don't waste time with leafs and coils or body lifts, It actually cost wayyy less money and you get wayyy more flex.

  • @ThatTallActorGuy

    To each, his own...

  • To each his own? Hahaha, That's some funny ass shit. I am guessing your prob not a good fabricator. to each his own, I like to save money and make shit my self, unstead of paying someone else to make shit. haha

  • You're just one of those guys that likes to cause trouble, I see...I like to call your kind "keyboard heroes".

  • You would never last on pirate4x4.

    Hahahahahaha

  • Ok...

  • Are the km2's that much better than the swampers? I have 35x15.50 swampers on my samurai but they are very heavy. Thought about changing to 35x12.50 km2's.

  • @slymersami

well...my buddy likes the KM2s a lot! They have very good traction and handle the Sammi's light weight well...unlike MTRs for instance.

I can tell you that most things he could crawl up without much trouble with swampers he can with the KM2s but with MTRs that he had it was a bit of a challenge.

They ride GREAT on the street with little road noise, vibration pulling etc.

Any more Qs feel free to ask - I will relay them to him...

    Thanks for Watching!

  • looks good. nice work.

  • @zukinchilly

    Thanks...lots of time in it...

  • the suppa floppas
