  • Omg, Frank Oz's super-sarcastic voice as Aladdin! lmao. I was waiting for Kermit to flip out & bitchslap him.

Notice at the end Kermit says, "I'll see you later, Ali Baba." instead of Aladdin.

  • Aladdin:You can call me Al. Now I know where Disney got the idea for the Genie to call Aladdin that.

  • Genie: Can you believe this dingaling.

Kermit: No, he certainly isn't the brightest bulb in the box.

  • When was there ever electricity in that culture? XD

  • Genie: "Can you believe this dingaling?"

    Kermit: "No, not really..."

    AHAHAHA!!

  • I know this sketch originally did NOT use the News Flash logo at the beginning, but I wonder if later reruns (like in the late 1980s or the 1990s) plastered it to the beginning of the sketch? They sometimes did that

  • I remember when I used to perform this as a child, I would pretend it had the title card and the announcer at the beginning.

  • Basic science lesson for preschoolers

  • This sketch appears on:

    "Sesame Street" episode 0927 (November 30, 1976)

    "Sesame Street" episode 1094 (January 19, 1978)

  • That same genie also granted Cookie Monster 3 wishes in another skit. Only the genie was voiced by Jim Henson.

  • aladdin's such a doushbag

  • Takes one to know one. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. Nah, you're alright.

  • I love the humor in this classic segment, from the actual electric Aladdin's Lamp to Kermit's "light brown hair" wisecrack. I hadn't seen this in about 30 years. Thanks for posting, MarshalGrover.

  • "CAN SOMEONE TURN ON THE LIGHT IN HERE...? oh hi-ho kermit thefrog..." i love how kermit just turns calm when the lights go on

  • Magic Hot Comb?!?!

    bahaha!

  • What exactly is a hot comb?

  • It is a comb that actually heats up to help smooth out textured hair...

  • Aladdin says, "You can call me Al." XD

  • Hey, that'd probably work wonders in a Disney movie. lol

  • I see that you took the Hebrew version of this sketch and dubbed the English audio over it.

  • Yep, hence the long blackness at the begining.

  • XD! I love it when Kermit trips over the wire in the beginning! Hmm-magic toaster-does that mean it has a genie in it who can make you breakfast?

  • Well, you know what they, "Magic works in many mysterious ways." Got that from PRMF.
