I know this sketch originally did NOT use the News Flash logo at the beginning, but I wonder if later reruns (like in the late 1980s or the 1990s) plastered it to the beginning of the sketch? They sometimes did that
I love the humor in this classic segment, from the actual electric Aladdin's Lamp to Kermit's "light brown hair" wisecrack. I hadn't seen this in about 30 years. Thanks for posting, MarshalGrover.
Omg, Frank Oz's super-sarcastic voice as Aladdin! lmao. I was waiting for Kermit to flip out & bitchslap him.
Notice at the end Kermit says, "I'll see you later, Ali Baba." instead of Aladdin.

Aladdin:You can call me Al. Now I know where Disney got the idea for the Genie to call Aladdin that.

Genie: Can you believe this dingaling.
Kermit: No, he certainly isn't the brightest bulb in the box.

I remember when I used to perform this as a child, I would pretend it had the title card and the announcer at the beginning.

That same genie also granted Cookie Monster 3 wishes in another skit. Only the genie was voiced by Jim Henson.

Hey, that'd probably work wonders in a Disney movie. lol

I see that you took the Hebrew version of this sketch and dubbed the English audio over it.

Yep, hence the long blackness at the begining.
